The Bella Twins are one of the most iconic wrestling teams in the history of the business and will take their rightful place in the Hall Of Fame at some stage this year. But even though their best work came as a duo, they have both flourished on their own as well.

Both Nikki Bella and Brie Bella are incredibly talented wrestlers who have achieved huge amounts of success in their careers. They've been part of some incredibly memorable segments and matches and even though they're a team, most people have their favorite.

Within this list we will be pitting the Bella Twins against each other, attempting to work out who was the best. We will give five reasons why Nikki was the better twin and five reasons why it was Brie.

10 Nikki: More Convincing Heel

The Bella Twins, typically, were heels throughout their careers, even when they were working as singles wrestlers. Both of them were great at being the classic High School bully style characters, and it served them very well.

However, when you compare the two, Nikki was always slightly more convincing at portraying the heel. This was clear when she went up against her sister, backstabbing her and stepping up her own game.

She became one of the top heels in the entire women's roster on her own and it really shone through.

9 Brie: First To Hold Gold

Brie Bella Champion

Something that many wrestling fans might have forgotten is that when it comes to the Bella Twins, it was actually Brie Bella who was a champion first. She held gold before Nikki did and was the wrestler WWE put their stock behind in singles competition.

Brie managed to defeat Eve Torres back in 2011 to win the Divas Championship, marking the first time a Bella Twin had won a title. It might not have been a lengthy run, but she still got the moment before her sister.

8 Nikki: Better Tag Feud With Miz/Maryse

Both Nikki and Brie Bella have been involved in mixed tag team matches against The Miz and Maryse during their careers. For Nikki, she teamed with John Cena, and Brie teamed up with her husband, Daniel Bryan.

Both feuds fun and brought the best out of everyone involved, but when it comes to which storyline was better, Nikki has the upper-hand. Even though the feud was more personal between Miz and Bryan than it was with John Cena, that wasn't the case for the women.

Nikki and Maryse had huge, very personal history and it led to some amazing promos and segments during the build-up. They then had a brilliant match at WrestleMania that made this feud more memorable.

7 Brie: Her Relationship With Daniel Bryan

While bringing personal relationships into the situation doesn't really have much to do with someone's career, in the case of the Bella Twins it does. Because they share so much of their personal lives through Total Divas/Bellas, their relationships add to their success.

Even though Nikki and John Cena was very popular with fans, as is her new relationship with Artem, it doesn't get better than Brie and Daniel Bryan. They are the perfect example of #CoupleGoals, and they are great together.

Whether it's teaming up in the ring as part of WWE, or their real lives that are shown throughout the reality series, they have become a true power couple.

6 Nikki: Stronger Promo

For the majority of The Bella Twins' run in WWE, the women weren't given tons of time to develop their storylines with lengthy promos like they are today. However, as times changed they got to shine on the microphone.

It was always something they were strong at, with Nikki in particular, excelling on the microphone. She was a tremendous talker who always got the storyline across during her promos.

This was especially true when she got to work as a heel and during her Divas Championship run where Nikki cut some amazing promos.

5 Brie: Highflying Style

Brie Bella Highflying

Every tag team always tends to have two wrestlers with distinct styles that mesh well together. That was certainly the case when it comes to the Bella Twins as Nikki was the powerhouse of the team, while Brie Bella providing more of the agility and highflying style.

Brie doesn't often get the credit she deserves for her in-ring work and the fact that she really developed over the years. Brie developed an excellent highflying style, hitting crossbodies and suicide dives on a regular basis.

This made her matches a lot of fun to watch and added a serious element of risk and danger to her matches with some crazy spots.

4 Nikki: The Better Wrestler

While both the Bella Twins started out quite shaky in the ring and both made huge strides to become good wrestlers, Nikki is certainly the better of the two. She became incredibly impressive inside the ring with her power and strength really making her impressive to watch.

Nikki really stepped it up, especially when she returned from her neck surgery. Her feuds with the likes of Carmella and the Riott Squad highlighted just how impressive Nikki had become in the ring, and it's a shame we didn't get to see more.

3 Brie: Bigger Singles Feud

While Nikki Bella had a lot of brilliant feuds as a singles wrestler when she was the Divas Champion, but few of them were anywhere near the high profile level that Brie's big singles feud was.

Brie Bella got a very rare opportunity to feud with Stephanie McMahon during her career. Stephanie McMahon wrestling is something that is very rare, especially in singles matches at that stage in her career, which made this a huge moment.

The fact that Brie got this chance shows how much faith WWE had in her. She and Steph put together an excellent storyline and match as well, which made it even better.

2 Nikki: Historic Divas Title Run

When it came to singles championship success, both Nikki and Brie enjoyed spells as the Divas Champion. However, Nikki held onto the title for far longer and completely dominated the division for a lengthy period of time.

She actually became the longest-reigning Divas Champion in the history of the company, holding the title for 301 days. That's an incredibly impressive record and during that time period, she really did have some amazing matches.

With the title now retired that's a record that is going to stick with Nikki forever, which is an incredible statistic that proves why she was the better twin.

1 Brie: Post-Pregnancy Return

While Nikki Bella made an incredible return from what seemed like a career-threatening injury, she isn't the only Bella to make a big return. That's because Brie has also done the same following the birth of her daughter, Birdie.

Very few female wrestlers have made the return from giving birth to continue wrestling, especially not in such as short space of time. She made her return and proved how much wrestling means to her, which is something that deserves a lot of credit.

Brie had clearly worked incredibly hard during her time off as well, working alongside Daniel Bryan she displayed some new moves and didn't hold back.
