Wrestling is built on rivalries. The best ones grab you and keep you riveted through a series of matches and promos, no matter how long it takes to get to the finish. Ric Flair vs Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart, Stone Cold vs Vince McMahon... the most memorable feuds span entire careers.

Recently, WWE has had some great feuds featuring its top stars, but there are a few issues. Lately, the programs last too long, or feel unfinished. There’s no in between. We have some suggestions for rivalries we'd like to see crop up and again, and those that are best left in the past.

10 WANT: SASHA BANKS VS CHARLOTTE FLAIR

The series of matches between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair put the women’s division on the map. They traded the Raw women’s championship back and forth for months. They did falls count anywhere, iron woman and Hell in a Cell, constantly bringing out the best in one another.

We don’t know what Sasha’s status is, but if she returns, we’d like to see her go after Charlotte, who’s had nothing to do since WrestleMania. These two have chemistry that’s hard to find and it would be a shame if we never get to see them compete against each other again.

9 DON’T WANT: THE USOS VS NEW DAY

For the year that New Day and The Usos fought over the tag team titles, every match was an instant classic. From rap battles to Hell in a Cell, there was never a bad moment. The one problem was that the rest of the division suffered.

Yes, part of it was that New Day and The Usos are so good they have no equals, but they got all the tag team time. Nowadays, the two teams have been known to still mix it up, but they’ve developed a mutual respect for one another, which has made them allies more than enemies.

8 WANT: SAMOA JOE VS FINN BALOR

When Samoa Joe debuted in NXT, he was Finn Balor’s partner in the Dusty Classic. Then Joe decided it was time for him to be NXT champion and the two began a legendary feud for the title.

Since moving to the main roster, the duo haven’t had a chance for a full-fledged rivalry, but maybe that will change soon. With Joe fighting Kofi Kingston for the WWE championship, perhaps it’s only a matter of time before they face off on SmackDown.

7 DON’T WANT: BECKY LYNCH VS CHARLOTTE FLAIR

When Becky Lynch turned on Charlotte Flair and became The Man, it launched a feud for the ages. Their last woman standing match was considered one of the matches of the year. They were so amazing they ended up in the main event of WrestleMania.

However, we feel like we’ve gone as far as we need to go with The Man and The Queen right now. We know there’s every possibility that they will meet up again at some point, but for the time being, we’d like to see them bring their energy to other opponents.

6 WANT: VELVETEEN DREAM VS RICOCHET

Ricochet made an immediate splash with his first major story by facing off with the charismatic Velveteen Dream. Ultimately, Dream retained the North American championship and they both moved on to new competitors. We enjoyed Ricochet’s fight against Undisputed Era, but it's always felt like he had unfinished business with Dream.

At some point Dream is going to get to the main roster and his first stop should be Ricochet. They have fantastic ring chemistry and drastically different characters that brilliantly balance each other out. We’ve always been surprised that they didn’t get to work together more.

5 DON’T WANT: ROMAN REIGNS VS DREW MCINTYRE

From the moment Roman Reigns made his triumphant return before WrestleMania, he’s been locked in a never-ending battle with Drew McIntyre. Roman has won all the actual matches, while Drew has delivered countless Claymores.

For a minute, we thought they were done, but when McIntyre started working for Shane McMahon, we got a rehash of the same promos and matches. Both men are too good to languish in this pointless rivalry and desperately need to move on. Neither is being served by the repetitiveness of this story.

4 WANT: ASUKA VS EMBER MOON

For the 510 days that Asuka was NXT women’s champion, her most serious challenge came from Ember Moon. They had a series of TakeOver matches for the title that could have gone either way. Once her streak was ended by Charlotte, Asuka was brushed aside.

Since her main roster debut, Ember hasn’t had the opportunity to really show what she’s capable of. What better way to get both women back in the main event, than to reignite one of the fans’ favorite rivalries?

3 DON’T WANT: SETH ROLLINS VS BARON CORBIN

Following his win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, we expected somewhat of a let down for Seth Rollins, but his series against Baron Corbin has been worse than expected. While Corbin is doing everything he should as a heel, he’s just not connecting with fans on any level, so putting him in the Universal title picture isn’t helping.

Rollins is arguably WWE’s best wrestler, so we never have any question of whether he will defeat Corbin. There’s nothing here to keep audiences interested, and adding Lacey Evans is not the answer.

2 WANT: JOHNNY GARGANO VS TOMMASO CIAMPA

With all due respect to the Warriors and Cavaliers, for the last two years, there has been no better rivalry than Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. Since we have been there with them during every step of their WWE journey, we’ve never been more invested in two sides of a story.

Though Ciampa is still recovering from his neck surgery, and Gargano is headed for the main roster sooner rather than later, we need a satisfying conclusion to this story. These two are so spectacular together, they are the definition of fight forever.

1 DON’T WANT: ROMAN REIGNS VS BROCK LESNAR

For most of 2018, Brock Lesnar held Raw and the Universal title hostage. Every time we thought Roman Reigns would take him down, we were disappointed. It was a neve- ending cycle. It was at the point where the audience turned on both superstars, because they were just exhausted with seeing the same thing.

Rumors are that Brock may cash in Money in the Bank on Kofi, which means we’ll be right back where we started. We like Roman, he’s a good champion, but we just can’t go through this madness with Lesnar again.
