It looks like WWE already has plans for Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania.
It’s yet to be confirmed, but wrestling fans all over the world know that Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is the plan for WrestleMania, and Lesnar’s contract is up after The Showcase of the Immortals. If Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer is to be believed, however, the WWE could extend that contract through to August for a huge summer rivalry. It’s a rivalry that could divide the WWE Universe, but it's been a long time in the making— Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar.
The two have been trading taunts back and forth in interviews and social media posts for quite some time, and although Lashley reportedly wanted it to happen in MMA, a WWE match would be just as good. There are a few matches we’d still love to see Lesnar have (our personal favorite would be against Shinsuke Nakamura as a rematch from their IWGP Heavyweight title match back in 2006), but if this is his final bout, bringing in Lashley to solidify him as the next top star is a great move.

Obviously, this isn’t set in stone yet, as Lashley is yet to officially sign a contract, but that’s expected to come soon. Many casual WWE fans won’t have seen much from Lashley since his WWE days. His most famous bout took place at WrestleMania 23 when he was hand picked by now-president Donald Trump to take on Umaga who was chosen by Vince McMahon. He also enjoyed a run as ECW champion during the promotion's WWE revival (though he wasn't completely accepted by fans who were clamoring for CM Punk to get the spotlight).
That was many moons ago, however, and in the time since, he’s improved out of sight. With new attitude plus improved in-ring performances, a match with Brock Lesnar will be one for the ages.
So what do you guys think? Is this a rivalry you’d love to see? Do you care about Lesnar at all anymore? Do you think he’ll stay beyond April like these reports suggest? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
