Earlier this week, WWE announced that they're teaming up with The Saudi General Sports Authority in order to give fans in the middle east the Greatest Royal Rumble event at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27th.

The event will feature a total of 50 wrestlers that include stars like John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day,  Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt  and Shinsuke Nakamura.

WWE will be shortly releasing the ticket and broadcast information, when it comes to the event. Unfortunately, the "Greatest Royal Rumble" has caused a schedule conflict for WWE and some events have been canceled that were scheduled on the same weekend.

WWE has canceled the events that were scheduled to go down in Saint John, New Brunswick and Halifax and Nova Scotia. The tickets were scheduled to go on sale last week, but thankfully they never put them up for sale and saved numerous Canadian fans from even more disappointment.

The good news is that the events will be rescheduled. But unfortunately, the fans will have to wait a little longer to watch their favorite wrestling stars in person.

I suspect that WWE scheduled the events in Canada a long time ago and didn't expect to be hold a Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia around the same time. With their schedule being so full, conflicts will pop up and I'm sure the fans will understand.

Despite the bad news for WWE fans in Canada, it's great to see the company continue to grow all around the world. This is even more evidence of just how far wrestling has come over the past two decades.

WWE did just sign their first ever Arab wrestler in Shadia Bseiso in October of last year. She's originally from Jordan and plans on making her country proud.

Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks also made history by being  the first female wrestlers to perform in the middle east.  There is clearly a new wrestling market that WWE is tapping into in that area of the world.
