There's no doubt that Chyna is one of the greatest female talents to step foot in a WWE ring. The Ninth Wonder of the World had an aura surrounding her, and she was one of the biggest stars in the Attitude Era.

Moreover, Chyna was an integral part of the success of some of the early incarnations in DX as she served as Shawn Michaels and Triple H's bodyguard. Chyna also wrestled with the men, and she is a former two-time Intercontinental Champion and a one-time WWE Women's Champion. Chyna's WWE career was iconic, as she played several roles but some booking decisions were nonsensical.

10 Number One Contender For The WWE Championship

Chyna WWE Title picture

In the lead up to SummerSlam 1999, a plethora of number one contender's matches was held to see who would face Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWE Championship. The Ninth Wonder of the World defeated Triple H, and The Undertaker in a triple threat match on the August 9, 1999 edition of Raw to have that title shot.

However, The Texas Rattlesnake had no interest in facing Chyna, and it was not realistic for Chyna to beat Austin, who was at the top of his game. Ultimately, Chyna never faced Austin for the WWE Title, and Mankind took her spot and ending up winning the title at SummerSlam.

9 Fighting For The DX Name

Billy Gunn and Chyna

D-Generation X was no more, after Chyna and Triple H joined The Corporation, and Billy Gunn turned his back on Road Dogg. In the build-up to Fully Loaded 1999, Chyna and Billy Gunn collided with Road Dogg and X-Pac to fight for the rights of the DX name.

It made no sense for these four to face off in a tag team match for the DX name. DX reunited later in the fall of 1999 sans Chyna, and X-Pac ended up teaming up with Kane briefly in the summer, so the whole storyline was pointless in the first place.

8 Romantic Angle With Mark Henry

Chyna and Henry

In late 1998, Mark Henry began portraying a character called "Sexual Chocolate", and he was attracted to many women. However, Henry laid his eyes on Chyna, which was surprising considering she was a proud member of DX, and Henry was with The Nation.

It showed another side of The Ninth Wonder of the World's character to be involved in a romantic storyline. Nonetheless, it was illogical for Chyna to engage in this brief angle since they were both representing rival factions, and it was never going to work out.

7 Had No Interests In The Women's Division

Chyna Women's Champion

Despite being a two-time Intercontinental Champion, the Women's Championship was missing from Chyna's resume. In late 2000, Chyna began feuding with Right To Censor, after reigning Women's Champion Ivory and Val Venis injured her neck with a spike piledriver. Sadly, Chyna re-injured her neck in her Women's Title match with Ivory at Royal Rumble 2001.

Nevertheless, Chyna got her revenge and wrestled the Women's Title away from Ivory at WrestleMania X-Seven. Chyna's Women's Championship victory should have given the women's division the boost it desperately needed, but Chyna had no interest in wrestling with the women as she saw it as a demotion from wrestling with the males.

6 Joining The Corporation

The Corporation

24 hours after the 1999 Royal Rumble match, Triple H lost an I Quit Match for the WWE Title against new champion The Rock. However, it was all a ruse as Chyna did the unthinkable by betraying Triple H and joining The Corporation.

Unfortunately, Chyna never really worked out quite well in The Corporation, despite helping Shane McMahon win the European Championship. Chyna was better suited to being with DX as she was not featured prominently in DX.

5 Co-Intercontinental Champion

Chyna and Jericho

Chyna made history as the first and only woman to hold the Intercontinental Championship in the fall of 1999. The Ninth Wonder of the World was engaged in an entertaining feud with Chris Jericho, who wanted the Intercontinental Title.

Chyna retained at Survivor Series but Jericho claimed his first of a record nine Intercontinental Titles at Armageddon. Ultimately, in their subsequent rematch, they double pinned each other and they were recognized as co-Intercontinental Champions by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. It was illogical to have them as co-champions as the Intercontinental Title is prestigious, and made sense just to have one recognized champion.

4 Not Wanting To Lose The Women's Title To Lita

Chyna v Lita

Chyna's final major rivalry in her WWE career was against Lita. Lita and Chyna briefly touched base a year prior, when Chyna was with Eddie Guerrero, and Lita was Essa Rios' valet. Nevertheless, Chyna defended the Women's Championship against Lita at Judgment Day 2001.

It's a shame they only had one match as Lita pushed Chyna to her absolute limit in one of the best Women's Championship matches in that era. Moreover, Chyna reportedly did not want to lose to Lita which was nonsensical, considering that she left WWE shortly thereafter due to contract disputes.

3 Wanting A $1 Million Downside Guarantee

Chyna and Stone Cold Cropped

Chyna started to believe her own hype and had crazy requests to extend her contract with WWE. Jim Ross has revealed on his podcast that Chyna wanted a $1 million downsize guarantee to be getting paid on the same level as Steve Austin and The Rock.

Unfortunately, Chyna was unhappy with Triple H dating Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, and she wanted more money to remain with WWE. Talks inevitably broke down, and Chyna left WWE despite holding the Women's Championship, which left the title in limbo.

2 Entering Royal Rumble 2000 Match

Rumble 2000

At Royal Rumble 2000, Chyna pulled double duty by colliding with Chris Jericho and Hardcore Holly in a triple threat match to crown the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion. Jericho prevailed after he pinned Chyna to be recognized as the Undisputed Intercontinental Champion.

Her work was far from done as she entered the Royal Rumble match for the second successive year, and she immediately eliminated Chris Jericho. Her stint was short-lived as Big Boss Man eliminated her. It made no sense for Chyna to enter the Rumble match again considering she was going after Y2J. It would have been logical for Chyna to have just done a run-in on Jericho and her spot could have gone elsewhere.

1 No Individual Hall Of Fame Induction

HOF

It seemed increasingly unlikely that Chyna would ever get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, after how her departure with WWE in 2001 was not on good terms. However, DX got inducted into the Hall of Fame class of 2019, and Chyna was included by being inducted posthumously.

There's no doubt that it was great to see Chyna get inducted with DX but she should have been inducted posthumously on her own first. Hopefully, The Ninth Wonder of the World gets her deserved place in the WWE Hall of Fame one day on her own for her efforts in the wrestling business.
