Earlier this week, WWE Superstar Paige was suspended for 60 days for violating the WWE wellness policy. This coming after she had only recently returned from a 30-day suspension for a wellness policy violation.
Paige reacted to the suspension on Twitter with these comments that made it seem as though she had been suspended unfairly for prescription medication that she had a doctor's note for:
Same shit different day. Kids..Please don't get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable.— PAIGE (@RealPaigeWWE) October 10, 2016
Rules apply depending on your status.— PAIGE (@RealPaigeWWE) October 10, 2016
However, the WWE has responded to the situation with the suspension by issuing this statement to The New York Post refuting Paige's claims:
"Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug,” WWE’s statement to The Post read. “In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury."
