It's not uncommon for wrestlers to fall for each other; after all, they spend so much of their time together. WWE fans adore wrestling couples and as a result, the company has been open to acknowledging more couples on television than they have ever been before.

Due to the immense love couples receive from fans, WWE has made some of their own romantic pairings on the television. However, not every creation they made worked, whether it was due to a lack of chemistry or showing no promise. That could be the case in real life as well. Regardless, WWE's most recent on-screen couples have been a mixed bag.

16 Worked: Bobby Lashley And Lana

15 Lana Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley and Lana were an odd WWE couple. The Ravishing Russian decided to ditch her real-life husband Rusev (now Miro) on WWE television and got into a relationship with Lashley.

On paper, it seemed like this relationship was doomed to fail, which eventually happened but it did its part when it was still a thing. As a heel couple, Lana and Lashley were part of the most controversial storyline in 2019. But it's a shame that their pairing didn't end up helping any of the wrestlers involved.

14 Failed: Seth Rollins And Becky Lynch

In real life, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are one of the most beloved wrestling couples. Though the same couldn't be said about their on-screen romance, which was a failed experiment. Having seen the successes of other real-life couples, WWE decided to pair Lynch and Rollins on television.

It made sense since they were top stars. As much as the fans loved them, they weren't invested in their pairing. Fans wanted both stars to work as singles wrestlers rather than teaming up in WWE. Putting them together felt forced.

12 Worked: The Fiend And Alexa Bliss

11 The Fiend Alexa Bliss

The Fiend and Alexa Bliss are the most recent WWE couple that emerged out of pure inspiration. Wyatt made Alexa Bliss his next prey, and the very next moment, she was in control of him. This pairing has worked perfectly for both stars and it seems like WWE has hit the spot.

Because Bliss seems to be the weakness of Wyatt's alter ego, it's safe to say that this wrestling couple won't break up any time soon. This is great for fans as they are looking forward to seeing more of them.

10 Failed: Mandy Rose And Dolph Ziggler

9 Dolph Ziggler Mandy Rose

Dolph Ziggler just can't steal Otis' date on Valentine's Day and expect fans to support his relationship with Mandy Rose. Otis worked hard to earn a date with Rose but at the last minute, Ziggler crashed the party.

Otis was fooled by a text that said Mandy would be late for the date, and it allowed The Showoff to reach the date before the former Heavy Machinery member and have dinner with God's Greatest Creation. Fortunately, WWE moved on with this pairing soon and Otis won Mandy's heart at WrestleMania 36.

8 Worked: Otis And Mandy Rose

7 Mandy Rose Otis WrestleMania 36

One of the most interesting storylines leading to WrestleMania 36 was the rivalry between Dolph Ziggler and Otis over Mandy Rose. Both superstars were romantically interested in Rose and decided to settle the score with a match.

After beating Ziggler at WrestleMania, Otis finally had the love of his life. The couple also shared a kiss in the ring following Otis' victory. Their romance continued for a few more weeks until WWE split them up when Mandy was sent to Raw

6 Failed: Montez Ford And Bianca Belair

5 Bianca Belair The Street Profits

One-half of The Street Profits, Montez Ford, and Bianca Belair are married in real life. They have great chemistry together and for a brief moment, WWE even involved Belair in Ford's storyline on Monday Night Raw. This is one of the wrestling pairings that should've worked but due to lack of proper vision, it didn't.

When both stars were on Raw, they didn't get enough time as a couple to get over with the fans. After the WWE Draft, Montez and Bianca are once again on the same brand, SmackDown, but it seems like the company has given up on their on-screen romance.

4 Worked: Maria Kanellis And Mike Kanellis

3 wwe-Mike-Kanellis-Maria-Kanellis

Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis were the best heel couple during their time in WWE; they are married in real life, have great chemistry and the fans loved to hate them. Maria has been managing her husband for a long time now and even helped him win several matches.

Things turned ugly when WWE used their personal life and turned it into a storyline that revolved around the identity of the real father to Maria's unborn child. It was one of the most viewed angles of 2019 that was later dropped abruptly by WWE without any explanation. This couple was released soon after with several other stars.

2 Worked: Alexa Bliss And Braun Strowman

1 Alexa Bliss Braun Strowman

Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman were quite over as a couple in WWE when they teamed up for WWE's Mixed Match Challenge in 2018. Their pairing seemed incompatible at first, but chemistry developed between them as they started working more together.

The Monster Among Men always had a soft spot for Alexa, but she also took advantage of it at this year's Extreme Rules pay-per-view and lured Strowman into a trap set by The Fiend.
