It looks like WWE may have given up on Luke Harper and Erick Rowan's Bludgeon Brothers gimmick before it even had a chance to begin.

The choice by WWE to break up the Wyatt Family at the beginning of 2017 has been a controversial one. Randy Orton infiltrated the faction and managed to tear it down from the inside. Following that, Bray Wyatt became WWE Champion and fans hoped that Luke Harper would also get a much-deserved push. That looked to be the case at first but then, unfortunately, it didn't come to fruition.

Ever since then, both Luke Harper and fellow former Wyatt, Erick Rowan have been pretty much absent from WWE television. That was until the last few weeks. Despite the fact that the last time we saw them they were bitter enemies, WWE reunited Harper and Rowan and dubbed them The Bludgeon Brothers. They have featured in vignettes on SmackDown Live each week and have also been wrestling together at live events.

It turns out, that may be all she wrote for The Bludgeon Brothers. Despite the new tag team not making their debut on TV yet, their run with that gimmick may already be over. For the past week, Rowan and Harper have been performing with new gear and a new entrance music on the WWE's current European tour. Then on Wednesday night in Leeds, they came to the ring dressed in their old ring attire and to Harper's old entrance music.

The angle up until this point has been suggesting that The Bludgeon Brothers would eventually be revealed as Breezango's attackers. The Fashion Police keep finding 2B written on certain things and that angle has to come to an end soon. Well, maybe this is WWE's not so inventive way of making sure that it continues for a little while longer. The popularity of the Fashion Police segments has been undeniable and if WWE can extend them for longer they certainly will.

If their outing in Leeds does spell the abrupt end of The Bludgeon Brothers then that will not go down well with fans. The majority of the WWE Universe believes Luke Harper to be a terrific talent, and for months that talent has been wasted by leaving him on the sidelines. Now, just as it looked like he had something to sink his teeth into, he may very well be about to have the rug ripped out from under him.
