It's time to spice up our monthly dose of WWE PPVs, and what better way to do so than to add a little "extreme" to our wrestling?

WWE Extreme Rules turns things around by upping the violence and the potential for "OMG!!" moments, adding dangerous stipulations to heated rivalries. After last month's Payback kicked this "New Era" into full gear, expectations are high tonight for the WWE to take another step forward.

Will the following card deliver?

WWE Network Kickoff Show:

-Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin in a No Disqualification Match

Main Card:

-The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) vs. The Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) in a Tornado Tag Team Match

-Kalisto (c) vs. Rusev in a Singles match for the WWE United States Championship

-Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho in an Asylum Match

-Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya in a Submission Match for the WWE Women's Championship

-The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and/or Xavier Woods) (c) vs. The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) in a Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

-The Miz (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn in a Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

-Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles in an Extreme Rules Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Will Roman Reigns be able to defeat the Phenomenal One again to retain his title in what will most likely be a brutal Extreme Rules Match? What can we expect from the first ever Asylum Match between Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose? Which submission maneuver will prove to be victorious: the Sharpshooter or the Figure Eight? Will the Intercontinental Title change hands when The Miz defends his title against Cesaro, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens? All these questions answered... NOW!

WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD!!

Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin - No Disqualification Match

It's nice to see Dolph rocking some HBK-inspired ring gear! Boring match between the two, nothing we haven't seen from them before. Ziggler with some quick offense but to no avail as Corbin uses his strength to his advantage.

Ziggler hits a Fameasser, then goes for a superkick that is reversed into an uppercut to his gonads. The End of Days ends an unspectacular affair with the result we should've had last month.

Match Rating: 4/10

Winner: Baron Corbin

The Usos vs. The Club - Tornado Tag Team Match

The New Jersey crowd does not like the Usos and they let them hear it.

And the Usos run to meet The Club on the outside! Glad to see this match is Tornado Tag rules, it'll freshen up the matchup between these 2 teams.

Or maybe not, as they go through the motions, even with all four men going at it at the same time. Usos go for their top rope splashes, but Anderson stops them. Luke hits the Gallows Pole as Anderson delivers a sweet spinebuster for a 2. A few more superkicks, cause that's all the Usos seem to know how to do. Jimmy Uso heads to the top, but Gallows moves out of the way. The Club then hits him with the Magic Killer for the win.

Match Rating: 5.5/10

Winner: The Club

Kalisto (c) vs. Rusev - WWE United States Championship

The "Ravishing Russian" Lana introduces us to the "Bulgarian Brute" Rusev while the crowd calls for some "Lucha"!

The champion starts it off with some quick kicks but Rusev brushes them off as he hammers a corkscrewing Kalisto. Rusev dominating the match, using his obvious strength advantage against Kalisto as he weakens the champ with a long bear hug and then a Torture Rack. Kalisto reverses into a sleeper hold but Rusev uses his body to get out of it.

A few more back and forth moves as Rusev escapes to the outside, but Kalisto is ready for him as he launches himself on the Brute with a moonsault to the outside. Back inside, Rusev takes advantage of Kalisto's injury by slamming his back against the apron.

Rusev then puts on a SUPER ACCOLADE as he bends Kalisto in half, making him tap and winning the US Title.

Match Rating: 5.5/10

Winner: Rusev

The New Day (c) vs. The Vaudevillains - WWE Tag Team Championship

It's nice to see actual characters and personalities shining through in the Tag Team division as The New Day oozes with charisma on the mic while The Vaudevillains take us back to black and white.

Gotch and English taking it to Woods to start it off. Tag to Big E leads to a few belly to belly suplexes. The Vaudevillains manage to isolate Woods and they ended up hitting their Wirl and Twirl, which got a 2!

Big E then comes in with a spear to English that sends them to the outside, Kofi hits the Trouble in Paradise on Gotch when the ref wasn't looking and Woods delivers to get the victory!

Match Rating: 6/10

Winner: The New Day

The Miz (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn - Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

Good to hear the smarky New Jersey crowd continue to cheer and boo whoever they want to as they pop for KO!

HELLUVA KICK to start off the match as Zayn knocks out KO (no pun intended). Then Cesaro uppercuts The Miz to the outside of the ring! Zayn and Cesaro go at it, displaying fantastic wrestling to no one's surprise.

The champ joins the fray as Zayn dives on both Cesaro and Miz. The three go at it until KO makes his return and takes them all out. Owens then unleashes his arsenal on Sami, further continuing their bitter feud. Miz and Cesaro interrupt them, leading to that crazy corner spot of a double suplex powerbomb involving all 4 men.

This leads to an uppercut barrage as Cesaro hits all his opponents. KO then returns the favor with Cannonballs to everyone in every corner. Cesaro launches Zayn HIIIIIIGGGHHH in the air into a massive uppercut, with The Miz then hitting Cesaro with a Skull Crashing Finale... for a 2!

Big Swing for a good 20 seconds into the Sharpshooter! Maryse gets dragged into the action and distracts the ref as Miz taps out. Close calls all over the place as everyone hits big moves and finishers!

Zayn delivers a Helluva Kick to Cesaro, covers him but the pin is broken up by KO. Zayn loses his cool and just starts attacking his rival on the outside, allowing The Miz to cover the downed Cesaro and steal the win.

Match Rating: 8.5/10

Winner: The Miz

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho - Asylum Match

The Asylum comes down with a cheesy-sounding Sycho Sid theme. It's just a cage with random weapons hanging on top. Nice to see Jericho come out with a scarf and jeans.

Ambrose attacks Jericho, who goes all chicken heel as he demands from the refs to let him out. More of a beatdown as Ambrose contemplates which weapon to use. Jericho reaches for a mop as the announce team reference Perry Saturn's Moppy! Ambrose unleashes some damage as he mops the floor with Jericho - literally and figuratively.

Jericho gets some offense in including a missile dropkick. The two then climb a different corner of the cage, with Ambrose grabbing nunchucks while Jericho grabs a bard-wired 2x4. Nunchucks win as Ambrose lets loose on Y2J. They climb the cage yet again, with Jericho ending up with a kendo stick, delivering some damage to Ambrose. Some more back and forth action as they use pretty much all weapons available to them, including a straight jacket.

Jericho tries to put on the aforementioned straight jacket on Ambrose, but fails as Dean uses rights and chops to gain the upper hand. Ambrose climbs up top the cage, and connects with an elbow on a standing Jericho. Ambrose climbs the cage (bet you didn't see that coming) and grabs a plastic bucket with some THUMBTACKS in it!

A bunch of moves are teased on the thumbtacks, but no dice. Jericho attacks Ambrose with the barbded-wired 2x4, but when he goes for a Codebreaker, Ambrose reverses it INTO THE THUMBTACKS, followed by Dirty Deeds... ON THE THUMBTACKS. Ambrose picks up the win as NASTY shots of Jericho pierced by the thumbtacks -blood and all- are surprisingly shown.

Match Rating: 7.5/10

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya - Submission Match for the WWE Women's Championship

Good to see Charlotte perform on 11 straight PPVs, something no woman wrestler has ever done before.

Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter early on, leading to some mat wrestling between the two women. Back and forth moves from both, as Charlotte unleashes some chops. WOOOOOO!! Big boot from Charlotte knocks Natalya down. She goes for the Figure 8 but Natalya reverses it into an armbar.

Charlotte starts working on Natalya's legs. The champion climbs the top rope and hits a moonsault. Natalya gets the upper hand after a suplex and locks in the Sharpshooter. Ric Flair's music then hits as Dana Brooke comes down to distract Natalya. Charlotte uses the distraction to put on the Figure Eight as Natalya taps. Women's Revolution, yo.

Match Rating: 4.5/10

Winner: Charlotte

Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles - Extreme Rules Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Will the fans in Jersey cheer Roman Reigns? Of course not.

Another matchup between an agile opponent in AJ versus a bigger, stronger competitor in Roman. "You can't wrestle!" - Newark, New Jersey. In case you didn't know who they were talking about, their next chant was "Roman sucks".

The two brawl on the outside as they head into the crowd. Back and forth among the fans and on the pre-show table. Styles with his Phenomenal Forearm off the table! They get back to the announcer's area and continue brawling it out. They end up on the German announce table as Styles runs towards Roman who backdrops him through the English announce table.

"You still suck!", chants the unimpressed Jersey crowd.

A nice Razor's Edge into a sitdown powerbomb doesn't impress them either. AJ hits Roman low, who actually sells the move - makes you wonder if he's actually hurt. Running knees from AJ, but he ends up in a bad predicament as Reigns powerbombs him through ANOTHER announce table - the Spanish one, for those keeping track. Reigns goes for the spear, but AJ dodges and he goes through the barricade.

AJ goes for the Forearm, but Roman hits the Superman Punch while Styles was still standing on the ropes. And a spear on the outside for good measure.

The Club makes their not-so-surprising appearance and hit the Boot of Doom on Reigns. AJ's pin gets a 2. Then the Usos come down to hit a few superkicks and a splash on AJ. Roman pins for a 2. Roman goes for the spear, reversed into the Styles Clash, which unfortunately gets a 2. Another Styles Clash on the chair gets a 2. Super Roman is in full effect.

Styles loses his mind and hits all members of the Bloodline with a chair to the fans' delight. AJ goes for the Phenomenal Forearm but gets caught mid-air by Roman's spear. Status quo gives him the 3.

Match Rating: 8/10

Winner: Roman Reigns

AND THE FANS LOSE THEIR S***AS SETH FREAKIN' ROLLINS SHOWS UP AND PEDIGREES ROMAN REIGNS. HE HOLDS UP THE TITLE HE NEVER LOST!

END SCENE.
