We all love a good heel turn in wrestling, however, some do not turn out very well.

There are faces who are the good guys and heels who are the bad guys in the WWE. To keep things fresh this results in a lot of superstars turning either from face to heel or heel to face.

This has resulted in some iconic heel turns such as Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 17 and Daniel Bryan more recently. However, not everything can be memorable and some turns have been downright awful. Whilst, others are just simply forgettable. So let's rejog our memory and take a look back at 10 heel turns that we have all forgotten about.

10 Mojo Rawley

Mojo Rawley was part of The Hype Bros with Zack Ryder, portraying a crazy, over the top face. However, they consistently failed to win resulting in Rawley turning heel and attacking Ryder.

As Rawley was lost in the mid-card shuffle he disappeared for a while. Before returning as a shattered-ego type villain showing vignettes of himself shouting into a broken mirror. It was weird and the gimmick was quickly dropped.

9 Matt Hardy

Some people are just better as a face. In 2009, Matt Hardy turned on his brother Jeff resulting in a long feud between the two. So far so good, feuds between brothers can be brilliant intense feuds.

However, after the feud came to an end Jeff moved to the main event scene. Whilst Matt was just sort of there. Nothing great and nothing terrible,  simply just forgettable. What could have been a really interesting turn ended up as a mid-card mediocrity.

8 Big Show

This is a result of WWE turning Show heel and face nearly every week. This results in fans losing interest of the character whether he is face or heel. Show is usually better as a heel and his giant physique obviously blends into that.

However, switching between roles so frequently doesn't help build continuity with Big Show's gimmick. Is he a loveable giant taking out the bad guys or a badass who doesn't care who steps in his way? Well WWE has switched between the two a million times over.

7 Dean Ambrose

Like Mojo Rawley's this was just weird. Fans had been clamouring for an Ambrose heel turn for years. Then WWE pulled the trigger when Dean hit Rollins with a Dirty Deeds. and fans went crazy.

Then, WWE tried to implement their ill-conceived humour and the turn went south. From entering the ring with a gas mask to video packages of Ambrose injecting needle shots into his bottom. What could have been something special turned into a forgettable mess.

6 Eugene

Eugene was viewed as an innocent babyface during the majority of his WWE run. No one remembers the time he turned heel mostly because it lasted only 2 weeks.

However, during his heel run he attempted to force a woman to kiss him declaring "but, I'm special" after being rejected. Also, he tried to claim a bounty on DX but was quickly beaten up and that was his last action as a heel.

5 Natalya

To be honest, Natalya is just pretty forgettable as a face or heel. She is a solid in-ring worker but not overly great in her promo work. Therefore, trying to make her a heel back in 2016 didn't really work.

Feuding with Nikki Bella after being revealed as her attack at Survivor Series. Her initial promo was good where he laid into Nikki but after that, it was nothing memorable. The feud was dragged out and did nothing for either superstar.

4 Ryback

Ryback Solo

Ryback was beginning to gather momentum and get the crowd behind him. So this heel turn didn't make much sense, to begin with. However, even worse is the fact he only turned heel to build momentum for John Cena.

Facing off with Cena at two PPV's, now was the time to hand Ryback a huge victory.  However, Vince just had to make Cena look strong with Ryback not winning either match and floundering as a result. Once again, what could have been.

3 Tatanka

This one pretty much wrecked the career of Tatanka. A solid worker and babyface during his time in the WWF/E. Tatanka turned on Lex Luger and joined forces with Ted DiBiase with many expecting a big push.

Alas, this sadly turned into a forgettable heel turn. As Tatanka fell into the background and did nothing of note in the Million Dollar Corporation. With other wrestlers pushed ahead of him in the pecking order. This ended up in his release from the company.

2 Colin Delaney

Back in 2008, Delaney was a bonafide jobber for ECW stars. However, Tommy Dreamer took him under his wing and they formed a friendship

This could have been an interesting duo but WWE decided to turn Delaney heel. Attacking Dreamer costing him the ECW title as a result. This angered fans who loved Dreamer and wanted him to get a world title run. Whilst, Delaney ended up being released a month later.

1 Viscera

Many fans won't remember his heel run but they will remember Lillian Garcia being knocked off the ring apron. Charlie Haas ran into the rind and accidentally smashed Lillian off the ring apron. This resulted in Viscera facing off with Haas in an attempt to avenge Lillian.

In the most bizarre of twists, Viscera then Samoan dropped Lillian Garcia. Turning heel as a result and teaming up with Haas. Trying to create an angle where two wrestlers enjoy attacking a woman isn't all that clever.
