WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view has featured a plethora of memorable matches. However, there have been some bouts that have been forgotten that took place at this brilliant event!

The Hell in a Cell match is one of the most violent gimmick matches in WWE history. Moreover, the match is so popular that Hell in a Cell has had its own pay-per-view since 2009. The likes of Bayley vs. Sasha Banks, and even the dreadful Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend match are matches that fans worldwide remember at this showpiece event.

Despite there being so many memorable matches, some bouts get lost in the shuffle. Hell in a Cell PPV bouts are often easy to remember, but some matches inevitably get forgotten. That could be because some of the matches on the undercard were not good enough, and some were underrated gems. The Hell in a Cell matches takes center stage which is the main selling point of the card.

10 Bayley Vs. Dana Brooke - 2016

Bayley finally got called up to the main roster in the summer of 2016, and she became an integral part of the Raw roster. At Hell in a Cell, Bayley collided with Dana Brooke which also happened to be Bayley's maiden singles match on a WWE pay-per-view.

This match was clearly overshadowed by the first women's Hell in a Cell match that headlined the show. Moreover, Bayley didn't have to get out of first gear but it wasn't a great contest to watch with Bayley getting an important victory.

9 Kevin Owens Vs. Ryback - 2015

After a remarkable trilogy with John Cena, Kevin Owens turned his attention to some silverware. The Prizefighter defeated Ryback for his first Intercontinental Championship reign at Night of Champions 2015, and they had a rematch at Hell in a Cell.

This wasn't a technical masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination. Their chemistry never clicked with this being a slow and methodical affair. Nevertheless, Owens retained the Intercontinental Title with his patented Pop-up Powerbomb in an easily forgotten title match.

8 Michelle McCool Vs. Natalya - 2010

At the second annual Hell in a Cell event in 2010, Michelle McCool defended the Divas Championship against Natalya. Natalya was seeking her first Divas Title but Layla was on the outside in McCool's corner.

They had an average match, and both women are capable of putting on a great match providing they get the time to tell a meaningful story. Natalya was closing in on the title but Layla saved McCool's championship by throwing her shoe in the ring which allowed Natalya to win by disqualification.

7 Kofi Kingston Vs. The Miz Vs. Jack Swagger - 2009

Three future World Champions in Kofi Kingston, The Miz, and Jack Swagger faced off in a triple threat match for Kingston's United States Championship at the inaugural Hell in a Cell event in 2009. Kofi and Miz had excellent chemistry together, and Swagger added to the mix to make things more interesting.

Inevitably, Miz and Swagger as two heels would naturally work as a cohesive unit to keep Kofi out of the way. They had a brilliant match with Kofi going on to retain the title, but it was easily forgotten as there was three Hell in a Cell matches on the card.

6 Antonio Cesaro Vs. Justin Gabriel - 2012

Antonio Cesaro was improving rapidly in 2012, and he became the United States Champion on the kickoff show at SummerSlam. He had a lengthy run with the strap, and some matches inevitably get forgotten about.

Cesaro put the United States Title on the line against Justin Gabriel. They had a fun match that showcased both men's in-ring skills. Nevertheless, Cesaro passed another test with flying colors to remain as the United States Champion.

5 Kelly Kelly Vs. Beth Phoenix - 2011

With all due respect, Kelly Kelly was not a good Divas Champion. She lacked the in-ring skills required to be a dominant champion. However, she had a rivalry with Beth Phoenix over the gold which saw The Glamazon revert back as a heel in 2011.

Phoenix was hoping to become lucky the third time around as she lost to Kelly Kelly at SummerSlam and Night of Champions. Credit has to be given to The Glamazon to make Kelly Kelly look good in their matches, but Phoenix finally captured the Divas Championship in a match that gets overlooked.

4 Air Boom Vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger - 2011

Speaking of the 2011 event, Air Boom's Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne were one of the most energetic tag teams in WWE history. They captivated audiences, and they defended the WWE Tag Team Championship against the talented pairing of the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston.

They had a superb outing, and the chemistry between both teams was remarkable. Ultimately, Air Boom kept a stranglehold on the WWE Tag Team Championship.

3 Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara Vs. The Prime Time Players - 2012

Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara were a mercurial tag team with explosive high-flying moves which made their matches enticing to watch. The 2012 iteration of Hell in a Cell hosted a forgotten tag team match between Mysterio and Sin Cara, and The Prime Time Players.

The match wasn't good, but it wasn't a bad one either. This tag team match was a match you'd expect to see on an episode of Raw or SmackDown. Nevertheless, Mysterio and Sin Cara prevailed.

2 Fandango & Summer Rae Vs. The Great Khali & Natalya - 2013

There's a reason why Fandango and Summer Rae's mixed tag team match that pitted them against The Great Khali and Natalya is forgotten. It's because it was an atrocious affair. Khali wasn't an in-ring technician, and Summer Rae was dreadful in the ring.

Natalya was leaps and bounds better than everyone in this match, and it was arguably the worst match in the history of the Hell in a Cell extravaganza. Ultimately, Fandango and Summer Rae were triumphant.

1 Edge Vs. Jack Swagger - 2010

The 11-time World Champion Edge has been involved in many legendary matches in his career that will live in Sports Entertainment history. However, at Hell in a Cell 2010, Edge collided with fellow former World Champion Jack Swagger in an impromptu match.

Their match was thrown together, but it was decent. The Ultimate Opportunist was heading back to SmackDown with CM Punk going the other way to Monday Night Raw. Swagger had some offense in this match by trying to wear Edge down with his debilitating Ankle Lock. Nevertheless, Edge's resiliency saw him Spear Swagger which sealed the deal.
