Usually, to land a juicy multi-million-dollar contract in WWE, a wrestler has to work very hard for years to become a Superstar and someone fundamental for the industry. Work hard on skills and popularity in-and-out of the ring. That is precisely the case for most of the wrestlers who have the best contracts.
However, some highly-paid Superstars haven't done much this year to say they deserve those contracts. So, there is a good chance that you will be surprised by how much these wrestlers are being paid. The financial figures for each wrestler were compiled by Forbes.
10 Braun Strowman: $1.9 Million
Adam Scherr (Braun Strowman’s real name) has signed a contract of $1.9 million with $1.2 million guaranteed.
The 37-year-old wrestler has been pretty good this year, in fact, he already won the Intercontinental Title against Shinsuke Nakamura and the Universal Title against Goldberg. Despite he is not the most popular or loved guy, "The Monster Among Men" is boosting his career in a notable way.
One of the most shocking moments this year was when he lifted Alexa Bliss up in the air and called out the Fiend.
9 Stephanie McMahon: $2 million
Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of the boss and wife of the legendary Triple H, is one of those with the best contract, despite not having participated in a single match this year.
Some may think that she makes that huge amount of money just by being part of Mr. McMahon's family, but the truth is that she works a lot as WWE's Chief Branding Officer. The last time she fought in a ring was on April 8, 2018, when she teamed up with Triple H to face Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 34.
8 Shane McMahon: $2.1 million
Stephanie's brother and, of course, Vince McMahon's son, also has a huge contract worth more than two million dollars.
In 2020, he has not participated in any matches. However, in 2019, Shane was present in several important matches, achieving glory by obtaining the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Title with The Miz and later turning heel and having feuds with his former partner.
7 Bill Goldberg: $3 million
In recent years, Goldberg hasn't been used very often. In 2018, he had no matches. In 2019, the icon only wrestled two matches, including one against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia. In 2020, Goldberg also wrestled two matches, one in which he won the WWE Universal Title against The Fiend and the other in which he lost that same belt to Braun Strowman.
It should be noted that Goldberg is already 53-years-old and therefore cannot be present in the ring so often. However, this legend really deserves this contract because of everything he did in WWE and WCW when he was younger.
6 Becky Lynch: $3.1 million
In 2020, Becky Lynch participated in 17 matches and won them all, proving that she is one of the best female wrestlers in history. Although she has not been in the ring since March because she is pregnant, her contract cannot be questioned.
It has been shown that "The Man" is loved by millions of people and that she has brought countless benefits to the company.
5 Triple H: $3.3 million
Triple H's case is like a hybrid between Stephanie McMahon, Goldberg, and Becky Lynch. "The Game" was a really successful wrestler who brought great benefits to the industry, and because of his age (51-years-old), he can no longer work in the ring. However, Triple H can still perform outside the ropes, being a WWE executive.
He has been working for WWE for more than 25 years, and his longevity and consistency are two of the main reasons for his high salary. Triple H is a true legend of the company and he deserves that contract.
4 Seth Rollins: $4 million
This year, Seth Rollins hasn't won as many matches as usual, but the spotlight is always on him anyway. "The Monday Night Messiah" came to WWE in 2010 and, since then, he has worked really hard to become one of the biggest Superstars of recent years.
Rollins has starred in many incredible matches and had many epic rivalries. Some fans hate him and some love him, but his ability cannot be disputed. It is perfectly understood why he is the fourth highest-paid wrestler of 2020.
3 Randy Orton: $4.1 million
Despite being heel almost all the time, and being that villain who the most people hates, Randy Orton has a really huge contract and it can be said that he deserves it.
The Legend Killer is already 40-years-old, and maybe his career is starting its end. This year he has not participated in many matches, but he still can give the fans a good show. Orton has done a magnificent job during his career in WWE.
2 Roman Reigns: $5 million
Roman Reigns was out of the ring for five months due to the coronavirus and everything related to his health. But he has already returned, giving a beating to The Fiend and Braun Strowman to obtain the WWE Universal Title.
"The Big Dog" is already hugely popular, he is truly a superstar and is the favorite wrestler of millions of people and even their idol. Obviously, he has a huge contract, but he more than makes up for his pay with stellar performances.
1 Brock Lesnar: $10 million
Yes, Brock Lesnar is the highest-paid wrestler of 2020. Maybe it is a bit obvious considering he's a fantastic box-office draw and is used as a special attraction. The Beast has played just wrestled matches this year, the last one on March 26 when he lost to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.
