Sasha Banks and Bayley have developed an extremely close friendship ever since they began working together in NXT, and WWE has gone against the idea of splitting the duo up.
The two had a very brief feud in 2018 last year, but a counselor met with Banks and Bayley, and he helped them bury the hatchet and continue their friendship. Bayley and Banks went on to become the first Women's Tag Team Champions at this year's Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
Now, the two are working together on SmackDown Live as heels, with Bayley currently holding the SmackDown Women's Championship. But could her and Banks enter a long-term feud once and for all?
As you can see here through The Bump's Twitter page, Bayley didn't seem so thrilled when The Legit Boss touched her SmackDown Women's title belt:
This could end up meaning nothing, however. While Bayley was Raw Women's Champion in 2017, many believed Banks would eventually turn heel and look to regain the title that once belonged to her. And of course, that didn't end up happening.
If a Bayley and Banks feud is in the works, we'll have to wait at least a couple of weeks. The former is set to go up against Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler in a triple threat match at Survivor Series, while Banks will be part of Team SmackDown in a 5-on-5 elimination tag showdown.
A Banks-Bayley Feud Is Long Overdue
It was a curious choice for WWE to only have Banks and Bayley clash for a brief period last year. These are two of the top superstars in WWE, and they are certainly capable of putting together a top quality rivalry. It doesn't make sense to keep them as best friends forever here, and a feud would be a nice change for once.
