WWE is trying something new with their massive social media presence. They want fans to use Twitter to vote for the greatest SmackDown Superstar ever.
One can only imagine all the inventive and creative ways WWE is going to try and talk about SmackDown over the next few days. Just over a week from today, the brand will move to its new night and new time on Fox and with it, there will changes to the show. A new logo, new tv graphics and a new roster have already been either announced or introduced. So, why not revisit the past while everyone is already talking about the show?
WWE has taken to Twitter and introduced a new tournament that will allow fans to vote on their favorite SmackDown Superstar in history. Names include John Cena, Kane, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar, among others. There are also women in the mix as Becky Lynch and Michelle McCool could earn your votes.
Each round will have a Twitter post where you can vote on your favorites. As Superstars are eliminated, the winner moves on, eventually crowning a Twitter Champion, so to speak.

When you have the kind of social media following WWE does, (over 10 million followers on Twitter alone), why not use the platform to get fans involved? The choices WWE is giving might be questioned by some but the premise is smart.
Who would you vote for? And, while you do, are you thinking about the new show set to debut on Fox, October 4, 2019? We're betting that was kind of the point in putting this tournament together in the first place.
Our vote would be for Vickie Guerrero, but something tells us she won't be a choice.
