While he's at home, not working because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Braun Strowman is finding ways to keep busy, stirring up controversy on Twitter and commenting on wrestler pay, not supporting indie wrestlers, and calling out " triggered marks".

Over the last day or two, Strowman has been an unpopular man on social media. The controversy started when The Monster Among Men responded to Evil Uno of AEW who asked fans to support independent wrestling promotions and performers, many of whom are being hit extremely hard by the COVID-19 crisis. For some reason, that triggered Strowman.

The WWE star tweeted, "Here we go with more of the somebody pay for my bills stuff. If you can't afford to pay your bills maybe you should change professions." He added that not being able to pay bills is why he quit strongman even though he loved it and didn't resort to starting a GoFundMe or a Patreon account.

Needless to say, Strowman took a lot of flack for his comments, many people calling him out because he's got the financial security of being a WWE Superstar and that during a trying time, he's not being more positive.

One Twitter follower asked, "What would you do if you were going without pay during something like this? Strowman responded with, "I am and it sucks but I’m still working with charity’s to help get funds and supplies to people that can’t physically can’t go out and do it."

Over the last 24 hours or so, Strowman has been extremely busy responding to critics and deleting certain tweets that got him in some hot water. That said, he's stuck to his claim, noting that people are taking his comments out of context. He wrote:

Not saying don’t dream at all. Everyone is taking this so far out of context. It’s this simple sometimes you have to change your dreams. Trust me I know that’s a hard pill to swallow but twice in my life I’ve given up what I loved because I couldn’t survive doing it that's all.

Some fans have agreed with Strowman, many noting that this crisis is hitting everyone hard. Others have called out the Monster Among Men for being so insensitive. He's responded calling a lot of these fans "triggered marks" and defending his comments saying he'd feel the same way if he wasn't part of WWE and broke.

WWE Stars Not Being Paid?

While WWE has aired shows from the WWE Performance Center over the last two weeks, most of the stars appearing have been the same stars each week. Strowman has not been among them. Thus, if Strowman has no money coming in, does that mean other stars are not being paid either?
