Paige's early retirement through a career-ending injury remains one of the most emotional moments in WWE's history. However, as one of the best women's wrestlers of her generation, the British star still got the time to put in some amazing matches.

Her career might have been cut short, but during her time in WWE Paige certainly left a mark. She had an amazing run in both NXT and on the main roster and a lot of that is down to her fantastic body of work.

Throughout her career, Paige had some fantastic matches that will no doubt go down in WWE history. Within this list, we will take a look back at Paige's career and rank her 10 greatest matches.

10 Paige vs Sasha Banks (Monday Night Raw, 2015)

When WWE first moved three of the Four Horsewomen up to the main roster, it opened up the opportunity for Paige to work with fresh faces. One of those was Sasha Banks, and they certainly tore the house down.

This was a dream match fans had wanted to see for a long time, and while we sadly never got the big singles PPV feud, there were several great Raw matches.

Sasha is able to work amazing matches with anyone, and her selling ability only helped make Paige's aggressive style seem even more impressive.

9 Paige vs AJ Lee (Monday Night Raw, 2014)

Paige Debut Cropped

This might not be a great match in comparison to others on this list, as it only lasts for a few minutes. However, it was certainly one of Paige's best and is one of the matches that people best remember from her career.

This was the night that Paige first debuted on the main roster, appearing the night after WrestleMania as one of the big surprises. She immediately confronted AJ Lee and challenged her for a match to the Dias Championship.

Paige then shocked the fans even more by actually beating AJ Lee to become champion on her debut in what was a monumental moment.

8 Team PCB vs Team Bella vs Team BAD (WWE SummerSlam 2015)

Matches with this many components are never easy to get right, simply because there are so many people involved. However, this was a very solid match with all nine women really getting their moment in the spotlight.

The fans were very invested in this one because it was the beginning of the 'Women's Revolution' as the likes of Charlotte and Sasha Banks had just joined the main roster.

Because of that, this match was given plenty of time, despite the storyline being fairly weak. It's a great match, but it was only a real glimpse of what they could do.

7 Paige vs Alicia Fox (Payback, 2014)

Alicia Fox has always been a great hand in WWE but hasn't always been given the credit she deserves for her in-ring work. Fox has fantastic technical ability and this Divas Championship match with Paige really sums that up.

They didn't get given tons of time at the Payback PPV, as was the norm at that point in time. However, with the time they did have the kadies certainly made their mark.

They made the most of their minutes with a competitive, fast-paced match where they brought the best out of each other.

6 Paige & AJ Lee vs The Bella Twins (WrestleMania 31)

This match was Paige's debut at WrestleMania as she teamed up with someone who spent many a long time battling against. The team of Paige and AJ Lee was absolutely perfect as they were the two best wrestlers at the time.

They were the complete opposites to Nikki and Brie Bella and that is why the match worked so well. They were perfect opposites to each other both in terms of character and in-ring style.

However, when they were thrown against each other it really worked nicely. They had a fantastic tag team match at WrestleMania. Each woman got time to shine while making the match compelling for the audience at the same time.

5 Paige vs Tamina vs Nikki Bella (Beast In The East)

The Beast in the East PPV might have been one that many fans missed, simply because it was just a live event that WWE decided to throw on the WWE Network. However, that is why this match was so good.

Paige, Nikki Bella, and Tamina were able to go and work a live event style match, with fewer restrictions than normal. They clearly embraced that opportunity because the three of them put on a fantastic match.

Tamina was the dominant powerhouse, with Nikki being the glue while Paige brought the technical ability. They had a great match that really did stand out and is one people should revisit.

4 Paige vs AJ Lee (SummerSlam 2014)

AJ Lee is arguably Paige's greatest ever rival, with the two women really having a compelling feud in WWE. They were helping to break the mold of the classic 'Divas' matches and this is an example of that.

Competing at SummerSlam, the women were given a featured spot on the show to prove what they were capable of. Neither woman held anything back with the time they were given and they really made it one to remember.

While it wasn't the 30 minute main events the likes of Becky Lynch are now given, they certainly did the best with what they were handed. It was hard-fought and aggressive, which drew in the audience and made it memorable.

3 Paige vs Charlotte (Survivor Series, 2015)

While the build to this match was very controversial at the time, with Paige talking about Charlotte's brother Reid, who had passed away, the match wasn't. That's because the in-ring quality between these two women was superb.

There was a real sense of hate and anger from Charlotte who was desperate to make Paige pay for what she had said. She was the dominant one in the match trying to make Paige pay, but the British wrestler had her usual fighting spirit to battle back.

It was an excellent back and forth match, which also happened to be her last singles bout on PPV. It sadly just leaves people wishing there could have been more.

2 Paige vs Nikki Bella (Money in the Bank, 2015)

One person that Paige was always able to have fantastic matches against was Nikki Bella. The two of them simply had terrific in-ring chemistry together and it always seemed to create special matches.

Nikki Bella is often given criticism for her in-ring work, but as this match proves, she is more than able to hold her own. She's a solid worker in her own right, and against Paige, she always created something special.

This is one of the best matches of both lady's careers, and it really did sum up how the women's wrestling scene was beginning to change.

1 Paige vs Emma (NXT ArRival)

While people will happily look to the likes of the Four Horsewomen and Asuka as the turning point for women in WWE, the actual moment was this match. It's impossible to overlook how important moment is to women's wrestling in WWE.

Because of that, it deserves to go down as Paige's greatest match because it had true significance. Paige and Emma battled to be crowned the first NXT Women's Champion, and Triple H ensured they got as much time as the men to tell a real story.

It was great to see women's wrestling get the spotlight it deserved, and they didn't waste the opportunity. The match was full of amazing wrestling, terrific counters and great near falls that had the crowd going crazy throughout.
