At Fastlane 2018, Orton won his first and only United States Championship by defeating Bobby Roode. His reign ended in his first title defense when he lost it to Jinder Mahal in a fatal four-way match at WrestleMania 34.

Randy Orton and Edge World Tag Team Champion

In 2006, Randy Orton teamed up with Edge to form Rated-RKO. This turned out to be his greatest partnership and one of the most dominant periods of his career, which eventually led them to the World Tag Team Championship picture.

Rated-RKO went on to defeat Ric Flair and Roddy Piper for the World Tag Team Titles on the November 13th, 2006 episode of Raw. They feuded with Michaels throughout their reign, first when he teamed with Triple H and then when he teamed with John Cena. Cena and Michaels ultimately defeated Rated-RKO for the titles on the January 29th, 2007 episode of Raw.
