Emma Released By WWE

WWE announced that Raw Superstar Emma has been released from the company.

WWE seems to be having trouble keeping a hold of their talent recently. Neville walked out a few weeks ago with not much information on whether he's with the company or not. There's still a lot of questions revolving around Nia Jax's leave of absence that caused her to walk out before Raw as well. Plus, certain members of the roster are still out of action due to illness. Well, on Oct. 29, 2017, WWE announced that Australian Superstar Emma has been released.

The news broke of Emma's release late on Sunday morning as WWE posted the news on their website. Why the former NXT Superstar has been let go from the company is unclear with the statement just declaring that she was released and finishes with WWE wishing her well in her future endeavors. The whole statement can be found here at WWE.com.

As mentioned above, this is the latest in a long line of Superstars going AWOL in one way or another. However, this news is much more official and permanent than any of the others. While the door still seems to be open for Neville and rumors suggest Nia Jax will be returning soon, hopefully, neither talent will wind up having to part ways with the company. Emma's time with WWE, however, has come to an end.

Considering Emma's history with WWE, don't be surprised if this isn't a permanent decision by WWE. The Aussie star was released from the company once before following an incident during the summer of 2014 when she was arrested for shoplifting.  Just a few hours later, WWE went back on that decision and announced that she was, in fact, still employed by the company.

Compared to other female stars on the roster such as Summer Rae and Dana Brooke, Emma has been receiving something of a push as of late. She had a marquee match with Asuka at TLC last weekend, and then a rematch with the debuting star a day later on Raw. Prior to that, she was mixing it up with the top Superstars on Raw such as Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss, so why exactly WWE has chosen to release her is a mystery at this point.
