Some friendships were broken, some friendships were tested, and steel steps were wielded at the side of Roman Reigns' skull. With less than two weeks until WrestleMania 34, WWE is having to make the most out of their television time. But are they?

Here are five things WWE got right this week and five they got wrong.

5. WRONG - Another Kane Main Event

Since The Undertaker isn't around (yet), Kane has decided to return (again) and take his place. His main event match with John Cena on RAW, even with a No DQ stipulation, wasn't all that thrilling. WWE could be doing so much more if The Undertaker been scheduled to appear already. At this point, Cena's saying the same thing every week.

5. RIGHT - Shinsuke Nakamura & AJ Styles

There isn't much animosity between WWE Champion AJ Styles and challenger Shinsuke Nakamura, but that's fine; there doesn't need to be. All we know is both men respect each other and are willing to fight to the teeth to come out on top. When the talent's there, simple storytelling works. This match could damn well steal the show.

4. WRONG - Sheamus & Cesaro

[caption id="attachment_595184" align="alignnone" width="1200"] WWE.com[/caption]

The story here is that Braun Strowman will have a mystery partner when he faces off against Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro at WrestleMania, but why should Strowman even need a partner if he's easily defeating both men himself? You would think the numbers game would work in Sheamus and Cesaro's favor - even if by cheating, but that ain't the case. Instead, WWE is exposing how poor the Raw Tag Team Division really is. If their top team can't outsmart one man, it's kind of sad, isn't it?

4. RIGHT - Lesnar and Reigns

WWE.com

There was nothing groundbreaking here, but it's good to see Lesnar and Reigns kick the crap out of each other to build excitement for their match. It's obvious WWE is trying extra hard for us to sympathize with Reigns, and it's not really working, but whatever. Watching Reigns get his ass handed to him week in and week out is still fun to watch.

3. WRONG - SmackDown Women Meandering

WWE.com

Whereas Raw has Sasha Banks and Bayley to psych us up for the Battle Royal, the SmackDown women are stuck in a holding pattern until then, randomly wrestling one another in matches that don't mean anything. Sure, this week's Becky Lynch vs. Ruby Riott match was fine, but we have nothing to sink our teeth into.

3. RIGHT - Banks & Bayley Get Physical

WWE.com

We've been waiting for it. These two are friends no more, and we love it! Bayley and Sasha Banks had one of the best NXT rivalries in history, and it makes us so happy to see these girls slamming each other into lockers and such.

2. WRONG - What's Going On With Rousey?

WWE.com

Is it just me, or do some of the Superstars (except Stephanie McMahon) seem scared to hit Ronda Rousey? Last week, Dana Brooke threw a punch at 60% speed. This week, Sonya Deville threw one at 40%. Why?

It's Ronda Rousey, girls. She can take a hit at 100%.

2. RIGHT - Miz, Rollins, and Balor

WWE.com

This WrestleMania match was originally kind of just thrown together to give these three something substantial to do, but after this week, things have finally become pretty interesting. Was the heat between Miz, Axel, and Dallas really just a rouse, or might they turn on the (phony) A-Lister?

1. WRONG - Dolph Ziggler

[caption id="attachment_595185" align="alignnone" width="1200"] WWE.com[/caption]

It's becoming increasingly difficult to take Dolph Ziggler seriously, especially now that he's all excited to win a useless Battle Royal at WrestleMania when he is the sole reason he isn't in the United States Championship picture anymore. Him vacating the title just to come back and be at the bottom of the food chain is a big ol' W-T-F, W-W-E.

1. RIGHT - Rusev

WWE.com

Initially, we believed Rusev would be neglected to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania with the likes of Dolph Ziggler, but WWE wised up and provided the WWE Universe a twist we didn't see coming. This week on SmackDown, Rusev would pin United States Champion Randy Orton in a tag match, turning the Triple Threat with Orton, Jinder Mahal, and Bobby Roode into a Fatal Four Way. Seeing how there's already two other Triple Threat matches on the card, this makes sense. And! Rusev! Deserves! It!

Until next week!
