With two very huge shows coming for the WWE, there are plenty of rumors to address. Who is going to make an appearance for the WWE at the 25th Anniversary Raw show on January 22nd? And, following that, who will be surprising fans with a return at the Royal Rumble?

Perhaps never more than now has there been more guessing and speculation as to who might be showing up in the coming weeks. It’s a fun time to be a wrestling fan and while we can confirm not all of our favorites will likely be there, the list of returnees is fairly distinguished.

Here are your five biggest WWE rumors this week.

5. Format For 25th Anniversary Raw

via cagesideseats.com

An event gaining more steam than perhaps the Royal Rumble itself, the 25th Anniversary of Raw is around the corner and the anticipation is incredible. While names continue to roll in, what has been learned is that the event will take place from two different venues.

It appears that the current roster will be at Barclays Center for Raw 25 while returning Legends are at Manhattan Center. There may be a couple names that make the trip and appear on both shows.  It seems most of the show will be broadcast from the Barclays Center.

4. More and More Names To Show

via twitter

The list of former greats returning for the 25th Anniversary show reads like a who’s who in wrestling. Here are some of the names that appear to have been confirmed.

Representing mostly WWE homegrown talent are Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Undertaker, X-Pac, the New Age Outlaws, the APA, the Dudley Boyz, The Godfather, Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler. From the WCW side of the Monday Night War fence comes Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. PG Era stars include John Cena and Brock Lesnar, The Bella Twins, and The Boogeyman.

Other wrestling legends include “Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase, Sgt. Slaughter, Eric Bischoff, Teddy Long, John Laurinaitis, and Brother Love.

3. Jericho Staying in New Japan

via vice.com

Chris Jericho has already worked himself into another program with a wrestler in New Japan and his stay will be longer than the one match he had with Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12. The partnership between Jericho and NJPW was so successful, it made sense for both sides to continue.

This means that the likelihood Jericho will show up at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania is slimmer than it was before.

2. Rey Mysterio To Impact

Via WWE.com

Speculation is that Rey Mysterio could be debuting for Impact Wrestling soon and he is close to an agreement that would see him become a main player in their company. The WWE did not have a legitimate interest in Mysterio coming back and the fact that he’s not even being considered for a part of the Raw 25th Anniversary show suggests WWE was fine to let him go elsewhere.

This was not necessarily what Mysterio wanted as he was publicly open about a desire to return to WWE.

1. Who Won’t Win The Rumble

via blacksportsonline.com

There seems to be news coming out that some of the biggest names confirmed for entry into the Royal Rumble will not be winning. That includes John Cena, Roman Reigns or Randy Orton.

Orton is set to take time off and Reigns and Cena have been penciled into plans for WrestleMania that don’t include either needing a win. It appears a SmackDown Live member of the roster might leave the Rumble with the chance to head to WrestleMania.
