There is only one month left before WrestleMania 35 and WWE has already started to promote the matches for the big show. There are a handful of matches already set up and a few more that WWE hinted at along the way. With Raw and SmackDown preparing to send out their heavy hitters, this is expected to be the event that starts a new era in WWE.

Brock Lesnar will be putting his title on the line and the main event looks to involve women. There is also a returning main event superstar and one retirement match coming as well. It's the most exciting time of the year in WWE and here is a look at 10 rumors heading into WrestleMania 35.

10 KURT ANGLE VS. JOHN CENA

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Kurt Angle came out on Monday Night Raw the night after the WWE Fastlane PPV and made a huge announcement. Angle is retiring from WWE and he will have one final match at WrestleMania 35. He then wrestled Apollo Crews in his final hometown match in Pittsburgh.

While Angle did not say who he plans to wrestle in that retirement match, he did throw out some names and one of those was John Cena. After this, Cena responded by posting a photo of Angle on his Instagram account. The biggest WWE rumor is that Cena will be Angle's final WWE opponent before retiring.

9 RONDA/BECKY/CHARLOTTE WILL MAIN EVENT

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

It has been highly rumored for a few months now but Becky Lynch made a comment about it on SmackDown Live right after WWE Fastlane. Lynch was talking about getting back into the Raw women's title match when Charlotte Flair came out to talk smack. Flair claimed that Lynch has been hot for six months, but Flair has been hot for four years.

Lynch responded that WWE never needed a "queen" and that Flair was on top for four years but the women never worked the main event of WrestleMania until Becky stepped up. It sounds like the rumors are true and this match with Ronda Rousey will be the main event of the show this year -- the first time women ever worked the final match of a WrestleMania event.

8 RONDA ROUSEY WILL LEAVE AFTER EVENT

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

There have also been huge rumors about Ronda Rousey and her status in WWE. She is supposed to be signed until 2021 but word is that she could walk away at any time if she wanted to start a family. While Rousey gets angry when people speculate about her wanting to have kids, there are heavy rumors that WrestleMania 35 will be it for now.

If Rousey loses her title to Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch, the rumors are that she will be taking time off -- if not walking away from wrestling completely after the match. Rousey already admitted in a video that she hates being away from home this much.

7 BATISTA RETIREMENT MATCH

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Batista beat up 70-year-old Ric Flair to get Triple H's attention. On the Monday Night Raw following WWE Fastlane, he came out and demanded something. Batista seemed off and kept telling Triple H to give him what he wanted and Triple H seemed legitimately confused at how to answer that.

RUMOR: BATISTA RECENTLY MET WITH WWE TO DISCUSS A NEW CONTRACT

Batista finally said that he wants Triple H at WrestleMania 35 and The Game accepted the match as a no-holds-barred, anything goes match. Batista was happy and said that he will get the chance to end his WWE career his way -- and will also end Triple H's career as well. Rumor is this will be Batista's final WWE match before retiring for good.

6 KOFI KINGSTON WILL GET HIS TITLE SHOT

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Kofi Kingston has been in a strange storyline since before WWE Fastlane. He earned a chance to fight Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Fastlane but Mr. McMahon came out and said that he wouldn't get it and he handed it to Kevin Owens instead. He also faked out Kingston at Fastlane, making him think he would get into the match only to have him beat down by The Bar.

Mr. McMahon put even more hurdles in front of Kingston on SmackDown, making him wrestle in a gauntlet match against the best on SmackDown Live to get the title shot. It looks like Kingston is this year's Daniel Bryan -- the underdog fighting for his chance at WrestleMania 35.

5 DREW MCINTYRE VS ROMAN REIGNS

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Leaving WWE Fastlane, there were two men who were considered at the top of the WWE who did not have Wrestlemania 35 matches. One was Roman Reigns, who just came back from a leukemia battle and is trying to get his wheels back under him. The other is Drew McIntyre, who was supposed to be the biggest heel of 2019.

McIntyre seemed to slow down in recent months, but after he destroyed both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose on Monday Night Raw following Fastlane, it looks like WWE is setting up a match between Reigns and McIntyre. Also, if Seth Rollins wins the Universal title, the smart thing is letting Drew beat Reigns to make him Rollins' top contender.

4 DEAN AMBROSE'S LAST WWE MATCH

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

The biggest WWE rumor of them all heading into WrestleMania 35 is whether or not Dean Ambrose is really leaving WWE following the big show. When the news broke that Ambrose was not planning on re-signing his contract when it expired in April, the WWE surprised everyone when they announced it as well, and instead of wishing him his best, saying they hoped he would return one day.

However, since WWE admitted he was leaving, that made everyone start believing that it was fake and him leaving was a storyline, similar to CM Punk a few years back. For now, the rumors are that Ambrose is really leaving, and that could make WrestleMania 35 his final WWE match.

3 BRAUN STROWMAN A COMEDY PIECE

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Braun Strowman was built into a monster in WWE but strangely, he has been used more as comedy lately.  In between his blood feud with Roman Reigns and him fighting against all odds against Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre, he has been used for comedy. Remember, his biggest WrestleMania moment was winning the tag team titles with a child as a partner.

This year, Strowman has no match lined up and he is -- of all things -- feuding with the hosts of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update. Yes, it looks like Strowman will end up feuding with Michael Che and Colin Jost at WrestleMania and the Monster Among Men will be in another comedy sketch instead of a real feud.

2 NXT TAKEOVER

Aleister Black and Ricochet

WWE called up a number of NXT stars this year. Everyone from Ricochet, Aleister Black, Tommaso Ciampa, and Johnny Gargano to those who came before in EC3, Heavy Machinery and Nikki Cross. The men who made the biggest mark was Ricochet and Black, who got a shot at the Raw tag team titles at WWE Fastlane.

WWE is supposed to reset things after WrestleMania 35 and kickstart a new era. With possible new champions in Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, and maybe even Kofi Kingston, the table is set for an NXT takeover of the main roster, and fresh blood to carry WWE into the future.

1 THE ROCK

10 WWE Rumors Leading Into WrestleMania

Dwayne Johnson was rumored to be this year's main WWE Hall of Fame headliner. However, it ended up being DX. Now, there is no word on what, if anything, The Rock will be doing at WrestleMania 35. Honestly, there is every chance that he won't do anything there, especially if he happens to be shooting a movie at the time.

However, The Rock has been rumored for WrestleMania 35 since last year when people thought he might battle Roman Reigns. That is off the table, as is the WWE Hall of Fame. However, WrestleMania 35 is in New York and there is no chance WWE doesn't find something for The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment.
