There are currently six matches on the card for Survivor Series, but some of the top WWE talents continue to await news on who their opponents will be.

This includes Universal Champion Bray Wyatt, former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan plus The Miz. With only two episodes of SmackDown Live remaining before Survivor Series, we can expect the card to be finalized in short time.

Well, it sounds like Bray Wyatt and The Miz were actually supposed to square off for the Universal Championship at Survivor Series. But according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Ringside News), WWE had to scrap those plans.

Meltzer detailed that The Miz-Wyatt angle would take place on the Nov. 1 episode of SmackDown, which took place one day after Crown Jewel. But as you'll recall, many WWE talents were unable to make SmackDown due to an airplane mechanical issue, so plenty of NXT talents were called in to help fill out the show.

So with that, the feud between The Miz and The Fiend will be held off for the time being, but fans may not have to wait long. Wyatt is scheduled to defend his title against The Miz at the Nov. 30 show in Mexico City.

For what it's worth, Meltzer added that Wyatt will square off against Bryan at Survivor Series, with the Universal Championship on the line. It remains to be seen what WWE will do with The Miz for the show.

Both Bryan and The Miz look like quality opponents for Wyatt, and it appears as though WWE fans will get to see the best of both worlds. We'll see if either superstar finds a way to conquer Wyatt over the next couple of weeks.

The Miz Is A Great Opponent For Wyatt, But He Can Wait

Many fans are certainly keen on the idea of seeing Wyatt go up against The Miz, but this feud doesn't have to happen right away. Bryan is a top main event talent right now, and there's little doubting that he and Wyatt will put on quite a show in the ring. Once their feud concludes, The Miz will be ready to challenge The Fiend next.
