Over the past couple of years, the WWE has not been afraid to sign big names from rival promotions. The list obviously includes AJ Styles, The Hardy Boyz, Rockstar Spud, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis, among others.

There appear to be more on the way. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is on the verge of signing War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) and Ricochet:

War Machine competed in Ring of Honor before joining New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2016. The duo competed at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on Thursday, and that appears to have been their final match with the promotion.

As for Ricochet, he worked in multiple promotions around the world – including Lucha Underground for three years. The 29-year-old native of Orlando also worked in New Japan Pro Wrestling, winning a total of six tag team championships in the promotion.

WWE will have plenty of options on how they want to use these superstars when they join. The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is three weeks away, so the WWE could wait until then to have them debut.

War Machine will join a roster that’s finally building up a handful of quality tag teams. The Usos, The Bar plus Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan are among the top duos that could form a rivalry with War Machine. The duo first debuted in 2014, appearing in the Top Prospect Tournament for Ring of Honor, and would win the promotion’s World Tag Team Championships once.

Ricochet most recently worked for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, a California-based promotion that was once home to AJ Styles and CM Punk, among other names. Richochet joined the promotion in 2010, and worked with them until apparently signing with WWE.

There’s no doubting that these three men are going to be excellent additions for the main roster. It’s only a matter of time until War Machine and Ricochet make their appearances on television, so stay tuned.
