WWE RUMOR: When Rockstar Spud Will Make WWE Debut

Ever since Rockstar Spud departed from Impact Wrestling in October, there have been numerous rumors of him heading over to the WWE in the near future.

Well, PWInsider.com is now reporting that Spud will be working with the WWE next week, following this Sunday's Clash of Champions pay-per-view show. It's expected that Spud will join 205 Live, which PWInsider notes means he'll be seen on the Raw brand as well.

Rockstar Spud would be a major boost for the Raw Cruiserweight division, which is lacking greatly in talent outside of Enzo Amore and Kalisto. Listed at 5-foot-4, Spud is an excellent in-ring performer and is capable of putting on high-quality matches on any given night.

The Birmingham, U.K. native first joined Impact Wrestling in 2013, winning its British Boot Camp competition. Rockstar Spud was with the company until the end of October, when he asked for and was granted his release from Impact Wrestling. It's been reported that Rockstar Spud's WWE debut has been on hold as he's had to file Visa paperwork, but he seems good to go now.

His departure obviously leaves a gaping hole on Impact's roster. They've been depleted of many top talents over the past couple of years, with most of these stars heading over to the WWE. AJ Styles, The Hardy Boyz, Kurt Angle, and Bobby Roode are among the many top superstars that left Impact Wrestling before coming over to WWE.

In Impact, Rockstar Spud won two TNA X Division Championships and was part of the 2015 TNA World Cup championship team, which included Jeff Hardy and Gail Kim, among others.

It'll be interesting to see how the WWE plans to use Spud, and if he'll get his push for the Cruiserweight Championship immediately. With his incredible talents and strong mic skills, Spud shouldn't need long to prove that he belongs in the WWE.
