WWE Star Suffers Serious Injury at Payback

The WWE Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders' Tournament would see Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy face-off against The Vaudevillians Sunday night at Payback to determine who would challenge The New Day for the titles.

The match, featuring two NXT call-up tag teams would begin with great enthusiasm as the Chicago crowd was ready to roll with four new faces. However, the excitement would soon fade as a real-life moment would occur during the Circus.

Popular Superstar, Enzo Amore would hit his head on the middle rope during a botched spot, causing Amore to then hit his head on the mat and require medical attention. The match would be called off as a result.

As it stands, Enzo Amore is being looked after at a medical facility in Chicago and hopefully the young, promising Superstar has not suffered any sort of career-threatening injury. Michael Cole did announce that Amore was speaking backstage and moving his extremities, which is obviously great news. We all hope for the best.
