On Friday's episode of SmackDown, Sasha Banks battled Lacey Evans in a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match, a match she lost thanks to a distraction from her best friend Bayley. After the match, both Banks and Bayley hit social media hinting that things are turning sour in a hurry.
At first, it appeared Banks was getting help from the SmackDown Women's Champion when she moved The Boss' foot on the bottom rope to break up a three count. But, as Bayley got a bit overzealous and distracted the referee, Lacey Evans was able to kick out of a clear pinfall and land a Woman's Right to get a win.
Banks and Bayley had some mild friction after the match that picked up steam on Instagram. When Banks said she couldn't wait for the summer, Bayley responded, "Me either, let's go to the beach!!!" Banks responded again saying, "hope you can swim."

Speculation is that WWE has been building a program for these two and for a split to take place that would eventually see Banks challenge Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Title. There were many that believed Banks might be a favorite to win Money in the Bank and use the briefcase to cash in for the win. But, with her loss to Evans on Friday, that's not possible. Now, it looks like SummerSlam will be the time and place for these two best friends to meet up.
Can Banks Get The Big Win?
Bayley has held the SmackDown Women's Championship for a record time and if anyone is going to end her reign, it would mean a lot more if her former best friend took it away. This Instagram post might be the start of these two having bigger problems than accidentally getting caught up in each other's matches.
Banks deserves a run with the title and this would be a great option for the biggest party of the summer.
