The Women's Revolution has been a long time coming in the WWE. While it's fun to reminisce on the Attitude Era and even some of the R-rated aspects of it in its portrayal of women, there's no denying the business is better for its increased inclusion of women. When given a chance, the women of the WWE have not only proven they can keep up with the men in the ring, but also in regard to overall popularity. During the Attitude Era, divas were sideshows, but now they're stars of the show and have even main evented pay per views. In fact, it's even commonplace for them to main event Raw or SmackDown Live, whereas it was an incredibly big deal when Lita and Trish Stratus did so nearly 20 years ago.

The women of the WWE are not only similar to the men in terms of talent, but also just as diverse in regard to character and willingness to interact with fans. In the true spirit of equality and diversity, there's plenty of pleasant female superstars on the roster, but there's also a few who you likely wouldn't want to ask for an autograph outside of a scheduled signing session.

15 Surprisingly Nice: Charlotte Flair

via spokesman.com

Most who read this are probably aware of Charlotte's reputation outside of the ring, but it's still surprising that she's so nice given she's one of the biggest stars in the company (not just on the women's roster) and previously portrayed an arrogant heel so well that you could almost believe that's how she was in real life. It's similar to how John Cena's character is basically an outward extension of his personality.

Charlotte is often present at WWE events and genuinely seems to enjoy posing with fans, especially young children.

She has had some personal demons earlier in her life, particularly involving men, but she seems to be focusing on herself for the time being and dedicated to making those around her happy.

She also recently supported the Girl Up charity as part of the Mixed Match Challenge and lends her time and energy to other charitable causes benefiting her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. It doesn't hurt that she's essentially following her career trajectory in honor of her deceased brother Reid, who wanted to become a professional wrestler:

"I sense his presence most when I’m performing – walking to the ring, feeling the canvas underneath my boots and the ropes across my hands. WrestleMania week is when I get the strongest sense that Reid is by my side. I think it will be that way for the rest of my life." You can't hate that.

14 Surprisingly Nice: Asuka

via youtube.com

It might be easy to assume Asuka can be a bit of a jerk if you're a casual wrestling fan. The presumption is often that foreigners have trouble fitting in and, thus, come across as not so nice. However, that is totally not the case with The Empress of Tomorrow. Despite being a dominant heel during her time in NXT, Asuka has always been well-liked by both her peers and fans, so much so that it's nearly impossible to find anyone with anything bad to say about her. One Reddit post pops up in a search in which a user asks what's up with Asuka's history of not being a good person and all the comments state they haven't heard that was the case at all.

Aside from appearing to be close friends with nearly every woman on the roster (especially Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks), Asuka has had several positive fan interactions, at least judging from fan accounts on social media. She has an incredible following not just because of her talent, but because of her genuine and positive personality and willingness to give her time to dedicated fans. Nobody is ready to hate Asuka and nor should they be.

13 Isn't Nice: Ronda Rousey

via youtube.com

We'll preface the "isn't nice" section with the fact that being nice is relative to all people. In that sense, is Ronda Rousey a complete jerk? No. But is she someone you're going to feel comfortable interrupting to ask for an interview? Absolutely not. Rousey seems like a great friend to those who are close to her, but she's not exactly the most approachable woman on the WWE roster. She's hated by just about every female MMA fighter outside of the Four Horsewomen and there's probably a reason for that. She's egotistical and confident in her abilities, which is fine, but she can go a bit overboard, which has drawn ire from the likes of Miesha Tate, Cris Cyborg, and Amanda Nunes. Other fighters have beef that genuinely finishes following a fight, but that wasn't the case with Rousey.

She usually does well to put on a front when interviewed on talk shows or by mainstream media outlets, but her recent appearance on an ESPN Radio show rubbed a lot of people the wrong way when, choosing not to answer questions about her MMA career, she put on her mean face and became difficult. It's for that reason that many wondered how Rousey would fit in the WWE locker room, especially given her lack of experience. It has been a promising start, but that could change when she's champion.

12 Surprisingly Nice: Nikki Bella

via youtube.com

You could almost go either way in your assessment of Nikki Bella's character, but we're inclined to believe she's actually surprisingly nice, at least in contrast to the popular perception of her character. She plays a great heel on WWE TV and she can come across a bit demanding, childish, and angry on Total Bellas or Total Divas, but keep in mind that's a show that's supposed to be dramatic. It isn't even reality; in fact, it's completely possible that her breakup with John Cena is a work to drive ratings for this season of Total Bellas - the timing is curious, to say the least.

You might think she's a bit of a jerk, but the Bella Army is so big and expansive for a reason.

Nikki, despite what you might think of her, is a role model to young girls worldwide and she consistently puts in the time to maintain that image. The Fearless tag line not only applies to Nikki because she's willing to do whatever it takes in the ring, in the gym, or on the rehab trail, but also because she doesn't filter herself when she speaks, which often leads to some cringeworthy moments on Total Bellas. She might be a bit ditzy, but she seems genuine in her actions and that's all you can ask for out of a "nice" superstar.

11 Surprisingly Nice: Carmella

via instagram.com

WWE fans seem pretty split on Carmella as a champion, but there's no denying her value as a true heel - someone you can easily hate while also respecting their ability on the mic. She may not be the best in-ring performer or even one of the top 10 best, but she's doing her job quite well. She's annoying, over-the-top, and has the perfect bratty shriek. Outside of the ring, however, Mella is about more than just money. While she seemed to get her back up in a dramatic moment during the last season finale of Total Divas, she's genuinely liked by the rest of the roster and isn't likely someone you're going to see at the center of backstage drama.

While she has no trouble roasting trolls on Twitter - she recently responded to a fan stating he'd be surprised if she held the SmackDown Women's Championship for more than two months by answering she'd be surprised if he maintained a relationship for more than two weeks - she's always pleasant with fans in real life, as evidenced by the lack of negative press surrounding her. The Princess of Staten Island may be super annoying on the mic, but she's a genuine nice person outside of it.

10 Isn't Nice: Maria Kanellis

You could almost go either way in regard to Maria Kanellis, but she's not as genuine and nice as you might think. Few superstars are immune to having absolutely no bad fan interactions, but there are more than a few who have shared negative memories with Kanellis. The former TNA superstar returned to the WWE last year along with her husband Mike Kanellis (Bennett) and, almost immediately, was off TV due to the fact she had just gotten pregnant. While that's completely within her right, the timing was a bit odd given it seemed as though Bennett might receive a bit of a push upon his debut, but he was essentially pushed off TV after Kanellis took her maternity leave.

She had a few poor interactions with fans when the reason for her absence was announced, and it wasn't the first time she used Twitter to criticize others.

Back during the debut of Total Divas in 2013, she took to the social media platform to slam the Bellas, who she believed were responsible from holding back a potential return for her in WWE. "Every time the Bellas say they are vets it makes me want to vomit" is just a sample of the hate she spewed. Another fan asked if the Bellas are talented at anything and she replied, "Yes. Can you guess what?"

A recent Instagram rant once again showed her true colors pertaining to how she feels about the fans.

9 Surprisingly Nice: Naomi

via wwe.com

If you've ever watched Total Divas (admit it, you do, and not only because your girlfriend wants to) then it's likely you can't help but admire the chemistry between Jimmy Uso and Naomi. The couple clearly has the most fun on the show and refuse to take anything too serious. While a lot of the show revolves around orchestrated drama, it's obvious the two lovebirds even have fun pretending to be mad at each other.

If her relationship with her husband and its portrayal on Total Divas isn't enough to make you a believer in Naomi's good-natured soul, look no further to the fan reaction from her winning the SmackDown Women's Championship last year. It's hard to remember a "You deserve it" chant that was as genuine and emotional as the one she received. That's because, not only is she talented, but she has always been willing to go the extra mile in dealing with fans and making herself available at fan events and autograph signings. She's also one of the few WWE superstars who really doesn't have any backstage beef as she is almost universally revered by all of her fans and peers alike. Everybody is feeling the glow.

8 Surprisingly Nice: Nia Jax

It might not be as surprising now that she's a babyface promoting a message of inclusion and anti-bullying, but Nia Jax is another WWE female superstar who comes across as a genuinely nice person in all of her dealings with fans and fellow superstars.

On multiple occasions while filming Total Divas, she has consoled fellow female superstars, including Lana, who almost always comes across as an irredeemable jerk, but that doesn't matter for Jax.

You might think the bullying storyline between her and Alexa Bliss was managed poorly and it's definitely true that some of her promos have been cringeworthy, but her message is something that has inspired confidence in young people who feel different. She's also very passionate about making a difference:

"Young women and young girls, and boys, should actually be hearing this and seeing the conflict that we go through and seeing somebody stand up for themselves and not have to allow somebody to bully them, because of the way they look, what their shape is, or the color of their skin is. You should always stand up for yourself. So I think it's amazing," she said of the storyline during an interview prior to WrestleMania 34.

7 Isn't Nice: Lana

via wwe.com

Speaking of Lana. The Ravishing Russian is one of the most beloved female talents on the roster among fans, but it's not for her in-ring ability or good personality. She's great on the mic (which she doesn't mind reminding people, like Natalya, of on Total Divas) and is, as her nickname suggests, quite beautiful. But she is far from the friendliest and most personal female superstar on the roster and her role on Total Divas has helped shine a light on that fact.

It's true that the show's drama is often semi-scripted or, at the very least, orchestrated, but it's not hard to tell Lana is in her natural element while on the show.

Being rude and mean comes quite easy for her and she's often at the center of the drama on the show. That she feels superior to Natalya because she can cut a promo speaks volumes to her ego given she's incapable of wrestling an entertaining match if her life depended on it.

She is completely full of herself and those type of people aren't often generous with their time, which is likely the reason there's few fan accounts of positive interactions with Lana. That isn't a recipe for longevity.

6 Surprisingly Nice: Natalya

via pinterest.com

If we're going to criticize Lana for her interactions with Natalya on Total Divas, we'd be remiss if we ignored the fact that Natalya went a little overboard in their feud, even once throwing Lana's phone over a cliff and onto the beach during a night of heavy drinking. But hey, who hasn't done regrettable things while drinking? If that excused someone from being a good person, there might not be a single good person on this planet.

Aside from that moment, which was probably pushed by producers of the show in the first place, Natalya is one of the most respected women in the WWE given her extensive experience and willingness to help others. She doesn't complain (at least not too much) about her lack of pushes or awful storylines and instead helps other women advance by offering to train them. She could be attempting to further her own career, but instead she volunteers to help the likes of Mandy Rose, Lana, and, of course, Ronda Rousey, who wrote a touching tribute to Natalya on Instagram thanking her for all her help in training. The Queen of Hearts also has a devoted fan base of young women thanks to countless positive interactions.

5 Surprisingly Nice: Paige

via theworkprint.com

Paige proved herself as one of the most exciting, unique, and talented WWE divas when she debuted and took the Divas Championship from AJ Lee. She continued to make headlines throughout the years for her work in the ring and her actions outside of it. She engaged in an online spat with Alundra Blayze back in 2015 and has been at the center of several drama-filled rumors and incidents. But she's also an inspiration and, over the years, has developed a reputation of being a genuine nice person. Let's not forget that she's still only 26 years old and, in a sense, is still growing up, especially after spending half of her life as a traveling wrestler.

"The obstacles that I've overcome are immense," she said during an interview prior to WrestleMania. "But the fans have really helped me as well. A lot of people (have said), 'You are inspiring me. You're going through everything imaginable and you managed to come back and be stronger than ever.' They inspire me. They call me their hero and I'm like, 'Oh my goodness! You guys are my hero!'" Her relationship with the fans has clearly evolved over the years and, given everything she has overcome, there are few superstars better served to be a source of inspiration for fans.

4 Isn't Nice: Liv Morgan

via pinterest.com

Give Liv Morgan credit for realizing she was better served not dating Enzo Amore, but that doesn't make her a good person. I mean, let's be honest, we could include her decision to date Amore as the only reason for her being a bit of a jerk and it'd be more than sufficient. Anyone who thought that greasy dude was worth their time of day can't exactly be that great of a person. Thankfully, however, she is on the road to becoming a better person as she broke up with Amore in 2017; she even posted a tweet on September 9 with a gif of herself and the caption, "Me knowing that I'm single." Shame on you, Enzo.

It's hard to get a grasp on what's real and what's kayfabe on Twitter, but a tweet in January by Morgan seemed to go a bit too far. At the time, Nia Jax had a developing on-screen kayfabe romance with Amore and she had referenced taking Alexa Bliss' scraps after dying her pig tails pink, to which Morgan replied, "Uhhhh Nia, I actually think YOU want MY scraps." Former NHL player Sean Avery made a similar comment and everyone jumped all over him, so it's only fair to conclude Morgan isn't all that great of a person either.

3 Surprisingly Nice: Stephanie McMahon

via youtube.com

There's Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and even Shayna Baszler in NXT, but none of those heels even come close to being as effective at being hated as Stephanie McMahon. While some fans might resent the fact she often interjects herself into storylines, she's incredible at generating a reaction and, in the end, that's really all that matters. It shouldn't be all that surprising given she grew up in the industry, but she's simply a great heel who knows what's best for the product. Likewise, she also know it's important for her to be engaging and authentic with fans, while also supporting a variety of philanthropic causes through the WWE.

She and her husband, Triple H, established the Connor's Cure charity fund in honor of former WWE fan Connor Michalek, who tragically passed away from cancer in 2014. She does a lot for other charities and, in 2017, was a recipient of the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award at the 2017 ESPN Sports Humanitarian Awards ceremony.

Moreover, while message board posts don't always provide an accurate assessment of one's character, the general consensus seems to be that Stephanie is one of the nicest people in the industry, with comments dating back to 2009 stating that she is even incredibly respectful in her dealing with WWE talent.

2 Surprisingly Nice: Alexa Bliss

via youtube.com

Nobody who loves Disneyland that much can be that mean. We say that in jest, but it holds some truth. Alexa Bliss, as the Goddess of the WWE, is one of the best heels in the company given her impressive mic skills. She might be one of the best at cutting promos and, if you need any further evidence, check out her post-match promo from WrestleMania 34. Her character has said some pretty devastating things about Nia Jax and other superstars, but the real Alexa Bliss has struggled through her own personal demons and has since become somewhat of an advocate for personal well-being in regard to training and diet.

Her love of Disney is real too. She recently visited Disney Paris with Mike Rome and shared photos and videos on her Instagram. When she isn't able to visit the kingdom, she simply enjoys relaxing and watching Disney movies:

"I'm very immature still. My ideal night for me, personally, is watching Disney movies and drinking a glass of wine by myself in the hotel room. I guess people would describe me as the character I portrayed in NXT when I threw glitter and wore tutus and was very bubbly because that's what I love. I love things that are sparkly and glittery and Disney, all of these things a 26 year old probably shouldn’t like but I do."

1 Isn't Nice: Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks is one of the most talented woman on the WWE roster, but she's much better served as a heel and there's a reason for that: she's a bit of a jerk. While fans like and respect her for her in-ring ability, it's hard to feel babyface empathy for The Boss given she's a tad egotistical and has no time for fans outside of her working hours. There's that one photo with the dude with the Jets hat who wanted a picture with her at the airport. You know the one.

She looks annoyed and he looks awkward likely due to being aware of her annoyance. That photo isn't an anomaly, however.

"I grew up a wrestling fan, so I knew that I wanted to meet all my favorite wrestlers," she said on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. "But always in the back of my head I never thought in my life to be like, 'Hey, they're gonna fly in. Maybe I should wait at the airport for like 12 hours at a gate. Hey! They don't want any sleep. Maybe I'll go find their hotel they’re staying at and let me bother them." While she has a point, Bully Ray made an even better counterpoint, stating, "Never worry about fans waiting at an airport at 5am asking for your autograph. Worry when they're NOT there at 5am asking for your autograph."
