With the WWE roster increasing in size thanks to the addition of many projects, it has become quite the task to fit all Superstars on their respective brand's weekly show. Currently, many Superstars are out of action for one reason or another - mainly injuries - but they are expected to return soon. They may be upset about potentially missing WrestleMania, which is why they had worked hard to get back into the ring.

Time will tell how these names will be brought back on television, we suspect that some will be previously promoted in order to increase the buzz as well as the television ratings. The rest will likely make surprising returns, and depending on the booking, they may either flourish or have their career derailed after having missed some time away from the action. And with these Superstars being cleared to compete soon, many others will be written off television soon.

Whether it's personal reasons or side projects such as a movie, WWE will grant their Superstars a break from time to time to handle all matters outside of the ring - especially those have earned their break. Depending on how you feel about each Superstar, some may go unnoticed while others will be clearly missed from the product once they are off television.

With WrestleMania 34 coming up, it is expected that the roster will have some personnel changes as we look at 8 WWE stars set to return to TV soon and 8 about to disappear:

1 Returning Soon: Jeff Hardy

via wwe.com

Jeff Hardy has been out of action for a quite a few months now, while his brother Matt slowly adapted his Broken persona in the WWE. Fans are currently wondering whether Hardy will return as his original self to embark on a solo run, or join Matt's storyline as Brother Nero.

It doesn't look like the company will be releasing Hardy after being arrested, and since he has been cleared to return by the doctors then we may get to see him back within the next month.

If he ends up missing WrestleMania, then we are likely to see him on the Raw following the event - where we usually witness some returns. Hardy is still one of the most popular stars and could even receive another major push since management realize his worth. Vince McMahon was reportedly keen on elevating him to the main event prior to Hardy's last injury.

About To Disappear: The Miz

[caption id="attachment_584365" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption]

The Miz has been one of WWE's top Superstars in recent years, becoming one of their most reliable performers. He always brags about not getting injured while working full time for the WWE from live events to house shows. But his personal life has started to require even more attention now that he is married to Maryse with a baby on the way. There were rumors about The Miz missing WrestleMania since Maryse is expected to give birth around the same time as the scheduled event.

Knowing The Miz, we highly doubt that he would be willing to miss WrestleMania and will likely stick around for the next few weeks. But rumors suggest that The Miz may be taking some time off afterwards to help Maryse with the baby, which would certainly be understandable although it probably won't be a long break away from the WWE.

Returning Soon: Samoa Joe

[caption id="attachment_584370" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] Samoa Joe would be among the top WWE Superstars if injuries haven't been derailing his career. He has had a few since moving to the main roster, which always slow down his momentum just as he is getting hot. He has been injured since the beginning of the year, and while rumors claimed he may be back by WrestleMania 34, that seems unlikely at this point. There were rumors about John Cena requesting a WrestleMania match against Joe - but plans fell through once he got hurt. Joe is currently being advertised for shows in May so his return may occur within the next two months. And if he manages to stay healthy, he could be in for a huge main event push regardless if he stays on Raw or moves to SmackDown. He has the support of the fans as well as Triple H, putting Joe at a good position to advance forward.

About To Disappear: John Cena

[caption id="attachment_584398" align="alignnone" width="1300"] via wwe.com[/caption] John Cena has been involved in an intriguing angle in the past few weeks as he has been searching for a road to WrestleMania. After failing to capture either title on Raw and SmackDown, Cena issued a challenge to The Undertaker. It has been a dream WrestleMania feud for so many years, and appears to be finally taking place this year. But their storyline is scheduled to be a short term feud, possibly in a retirement match. And once that is over, Cena will be taking time off television again. He has been involved in bigger films as of late as his status continues to grow outside of the wrestling industry. As much as he loves professional wrestling, Cena is no longer able to dedicate his entire time to it. He will continue to be a part timer for the coming years with his appearances getting fewer.

Returning Soon: Big Cass

[caption id="attachment_584374" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] Big Cass has been out of action since last summer. He rose to fame through his time as a tag team with Enzo Amore, but once that ended, Cass embarked on a solo run that turned out to be a flop. And since Cass has been hurt, plenty of things have changed in the WWE. For once, his former partner Enzo is now gone from the company and it remains to be seen how that will affect Big Cass. The creative team may choose to repackage him and give him a new persona - but that will only work if the fans are responsive to it and don't troll him with Enzo chants. For what it's worth, most fans would agree that Big Cass has a great look for a WWE Superstar, and despite his many flaws, he can still become a major Superstar as long as he shows improvements.

About To Disappear: Goldust

[caption id="attachment_584378" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] If there is anything that we have learned by now, it's that you should never count Goldust out. Just when fans predict that he may be retiring or finished, Goldust manages to surprise everyone by continuing his WWE journey. Sadly, it is rumored to be coming to an end soon. Two weeks ago, he faced off against John Cena in a decent match on Raw - which is a pretty big spot considering his career as of late. Last year, rumors claimed that Goldust was ready to quit wrestling although he wouldn't confirm anything. With NXT Superstars moving to the main roster and new signings arriving, Goldust's status will get even worse than before - if that's possible - and he may be gone off WWE television for a while. With WrestleMania season coming up, the company will also be releasing multiple Superstars and Goldust may end up being one of them.

Returning Soon: Dean Ambrose

[caption id="attachment_584384" align="alignnone" width="1400"] via wwe.com[/caption] When Dean Ambrose's torn tricep took place in December, early reports indicated that he would be out of action until SummerSlam. But Ambrose has made a quick recovery and is well ahead of schedule. He recently had another medical check up with the WWE, and the general belief is that he will certainly be back before SummerSlam. Those who hoping to see him at WrestleMania will be disappointed since it doesn't look quite realistic that he will be ready to compete in three weeks. Ambrose will certainly be a boost to the product as his presence has been important for the company as of the past few years. But it may be time to get away from The Shield angle for a while and try something different with the members. Once Ambrose is medically cleared, he will be brought back on television as soon as possible.

About To Disappear: Shane McMahon

[caption id="attachment_584385" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] Shane McMahon received a major ovation upon his WWE return following years of hiatus. And while fans were excited to see him back in action, they had no idea where the creative team would take him. Most haven't been very fond of his role, believing that he has been way too involved and appearing more often than he should. He is no longer as over as he once was, and hasn't been helped a bit by the non-sense booking on SmackDown. Following his announcement on SmackDown, you can expect Shane to disappear for a while after WrestleMania 34. As for the PPV, he will certainly be involved in some capacity - most likely along with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn - although we certainly hope that he doesn't punk them out after all. It would be good for Shane's character to take a break from television and return at a later date.

Returning Soon: Big Show

[caption id="attachment_584387" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] It was reported that Big Show's contract had expired with the WWE at the end of February. He had been out of action for a few month with no news regarding his return. Some fans speculated whether he chose to quietly retire after passing the torch to Braun Strowman. As rumors increased, fans started thanking Big Show for years of entertainment. But the giant responded with a tweet that read he hasn't gone anywhere, while adding a photo of him during a workout. It seems like Big Show isn't quite done yet, and may end up getting a retirement match or storyline after all. While it may not happen at WrestleMania, Big Show could be returning soon - possibly at The Andre the Giant Memorial tournament. Big Show is well respected by management and his peers, so he will likely have a worthy send off.

About To Disappear: Stephanie McMahon

[caption id="attachment_586271" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] Stephanie McMahon is set to put Ronda Rousey over at WrestleMania, and once she inevitably taps out to a Ronda Rousey armbar (will that match end any other way?) the WWE can easily write Stephanie off of TV for a while, much like they did last year when she was sent through a table at WrestleMania 33. The WWE clearly wants to set Rousey/Stephanie as being the Stone Cold/Vince McMahon rivalry of this generation, but having Stephanie on TV for an extended period of time after WrestleMania will let things get old fast. What would make more sense is for Rousey to move on to other opponents after taking Stephanie out, then resuming the rivalry if it feels right, and if there's something to add to it.

Returning Soon: Jason Jordan

[caption id="attachment_584460" align="alignnone" width="1197"] via wwe.com[/caption] Just as he was starting to find an identity, Jason Jordan went down with an injury. He had been involved in a storyline with Seth Rollins as a tag team that reportedly may have resulted in a WrestleMania bout. But once Jordan got injured, initial reports had him out for as long as a year. But the injury wasn't as serious as early reports indicated, and Jordan will be ready to go after WrestleMania. His return has been confirmed by kayfabe dad Kurt Angle during a Q&A with fans on social media. Vince McMahon appears to be a fan of Jordan, so it's likely that he will continue to be pushed. But if he continues to draw the same heat as he previously did, Jordan may not be around for too long. The storyline with Angle hasn't done him any wonders thus far, and if anything, it may end up derailing his career.

About To Disappear: Kane

[caption id="attachment_584408" align="alignnone" width="1284"] via wwe.com[/caption]

A few months ago, Kane made a surprising return to the ring. He would go on to engage in a feud against Braun Strowman, and even competed in a Universal title match at the 2018 Royal Rumble. And of course he was booked to take the pin as Kane has been mostly used to put over other talents. At this point of his career, defeating Kane makes very little difference as he hasn't been a legitimate threat in a while.

Rumors regarding Kane's retirement have been around for years although they have increased in recent times. He may have another short run - and even possibly could get a proper sendoff - but his wrestling days are numbered for more than one reason. Kane has political aspirations and has been trying to make it there during his time off from the company, and it's very likely that's where he will direct his efforts.

Returning Soon: The Brian Kendrick

[caption id="attachment_584382" align="alignnone" width="900"] via wwe.com[/caption] The Brian Kendrick has been one of the brightest spots of 205 Live from his reign as champion to his late run in 2017. But Kendrick has missed some time since being injured by Hideo Itami in December. His recovery was scheduled to be around two months, but it seems like Kendrick is being used for different purposes. Since last summer, Ronda Rousey has been training with Kendrick at his wrestling school. With her debut coming up at WrestleMania, Kendrick is among those assisting Rousey into her transition as a WWE Superstar. He was recently pictured with her at what looks like a workout session. And if the company allows him to work with Rousey, that should tell you how highly they trust Kendrick to be training with one of their biggest signings. It is very likely that Kendrick gets back into the ring shortly after WrestleMania 34.

About To Disappear: Triple H

[caption id="attachment_584411" align="alignnone" width="1200"] via wwe.com[/caption] Depending on the year, Triple H's appearances have varied in recent times. With his involvement in the ongoing feud between Stephanie McMahon and Ronda Rousey, Triple H has once again began making appearances again on WWE television. And he is currently going at it with his old foe Kurt Angle - which is only expected to be a one time thing to help introduce Rousey in a unique fashion. But maybe if Triple H and Kurt Angle recreate some of the past magic, then their feud will continue for a longer storyline. Based on how both Superstars have looked in the ring this year, we would have to say that isn't very likely. Triple H is busy these days through his involvement in NXT and 205 Live, so even if he doesn't completely disappear within the next two months, then you can bet that he won't be around for too long before taking another hiatus.

Returning Soon: Bobby Lashley

[caption id="attachment_584465" align="alignnone" width="1619"] via wikimedia.org[/caption] Bobby Lashley was supposed to be one of the faces of the WWE along with John Cena and Batista. The latter went down with an injury and eventually turned heel, while Cena maintained his spot as the poster boy for the company. Lashley was chosen by the company as their next top Superstar, and we know how that goes when WWE is so high on a wrestler. But he has been gone since 2008 after a sour departure, competing in MMA as well as Impact Wrestling. But with his Impact contract expiring in January, Lashley opted against renewing and engaged in negotiations with the WWE. While he is still unofficially a WWE Superstar, he is rumored to return within the next few weeks - likely at WrestleMania or the Raw after. And as we have heard for a while, Lashley is set to feud against Brock Lesnar.

About To Disappear: Brock Lesnar

[caption id="attachment_584413" align="alignnone" width="1600"] via wwe.com[/caption] Does it really count as disappearing when you only show up a few times per year? The reigning WWE Universal Champion will most likely have his reign ended at WrestleMania 34 following a year long reign that dragged on for way too long. Lesnar's WWE contract is set to expire this summer and he has expressed interest in returning to the UFC. But WWE is apparently planning to have Lesnar face the returning Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam, meanwhile, you can expect him to disappear for a few months before returning shortly prior to the PPV to build up the feud. Rumors claim that it's very likely Lesnar leaves the WWE once his contract is up in August, which means he may disappear for a while from television. There isn't much for him to do and fans have gotten annoyed by his part time appearances.
