Seth Rollins has only been part of WWE's main roster for around six years and he's already become one of the biggest stars in the company. As a former member of The Shield, a former World Champion, and the current Intercontinental Champion, there isn't much stopping Rollins from becoming the face of the company in the future, except maybe Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Even though inside the squared circle Rollins could believably defeat most of the current WWE roster since he is now seen as "Red Hot Rollins," the superstar who lasted more than an hour in a gauntlet match, there are many stars who even Seth Rollins has to fear if it came to a real fight. Backstage fights happen in WWE all the time, Sin Cara has become one of the most notorious wrestlers when it comes to backstage confrontations, but much of the time they're caused by emotions running high and usually lead to one of the stars being humiliated.

The following list looks at 10 WWE superstars that Seth Rollins could defeat in a real fight if it came down to it, as well as 10 that the former World Champion has to be afraid of, these are the ones that he wouldn't definitely want to annoy backstage.

20 Could Take: Finn Balor

via wwe.com

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor have had quite the friendship and rivalry ever since they first crossed paths in WWE over the Universal Championship back at SummerSlam almost two years ago. Rollins was the man who caused Balor an injury in that match when the Irish star landed awkwardly on the barricade and it was later revealed that he had suffered a legitimate shoulder injury and was forced to relinquish his title.

Balor would remain out of action until the night after WrestleMania the following year, where he would return as Rollins partner when the odds were stacked against The Architect. The two men have seemingly shown a huge amount of respect to each other ever since, after colliding over the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania back in April but since Balor weighs just 195 pounds, it's hard to see him being much of a problem if it came down to a real fight. Balor has no background training that would help him in a real fight either since he has always been focused on wrestling. Rollins and Balor spend a lot of time in the gym but the former Intercontinental Champion's obsession with CrossFit has prepared him quite well for any confrontation.

19 Probably Afraid Of: Triple H

via cagesideseats.com

Triple H was the man who took Seth Rollins under his wing when he first came to NXT and decided to build his promotion on him. Triple H was The Architect of Rollins future and it's easy to see why he was the man he chose to push the developmental brand forward when he was first starting out. Their friendship was revisited on the main roster a few years later when it was The Game who convinced Rollins to believe in himself and leave The Shield for bigger dreams, which was when he became Mr. Money in the Bank and lifted the World Championship for the first time before an injury sparked the end of their alliance.

Rollins and Triple H collided back at WrestleMania 33 and it was The Kingslayer who came out on top.

But if this came down to a real fight, Triple H is a powerful man he has been putting wrestlers in their place since he was a young man and he has learned a lot from Vince McMahon so he should be someone that Rollins fears. Triple H and Rollins have a great relationship right now, so The Intercontinental Champion will be working hard to ensure it stays that way.

18 Could Take: AJ Styles

via wwe.com

There isn't a member of the WWE Universe that isn't looking forward to the day that AJ Styles and Seth Rollins collide in a WWE ring. The company has teased the fantasy match ever since AJ first arrived on the scene back in 2016 but since both men are on opposite rosters right now, it's unlikely that this match will be on the cards in the near future. AJ and Rollins have very similar back stories since both men made quite the impact in the wrestling world before they made it to WWE, but Rollins was at Ring of Honor and AJ was in TNA.

Styles is a 42-year-old man and he still moves like someone half his age, which mere mortal men would fear, but Rollins is the kind of star who has worked hard on his conditioning over the past few years to ensure that he is prepared for any kind of battle in the ring and since he can last more than an hour in a match, his stamina has to be up there with some of the best in the company. Both of these men are known to be lovely outside of the ring so it's highly unlikely that there would ever be a reason that their paths would cross and it would turn violent.

17 Probably Afraid Of: Samoa Joe

via cagesideseats.com

Seth Rollins is well aware of the threat that Samoa Joe possesses when he steps into the WWE ring, but much of his arsenal relies heavily upon submission maneuvers which he could easily lock in on an opponent in a real fight. Joe is one of the only superstars in WWE right now where his music hits and the atmosphere in the arena changes, he is a legitimate fighter and if he wanted something there is no one that could stand in his way.

While Rollins and Joe have stood on opposite sides of the ring, wrestling isn't the same as a real fight. There is no way that The Architect has the power to push someone like Joe out of one of his submission moves because of he locks in the Coquina Clutch in a fight or even lands one of those hard right hands which uses all of his power, Rollins is not getting back up. Luckily for Rollins, Joe is on a different brand right now, which means that there is no one standing in Rollins way on Monday Night Raw anymore, but he will be waiting on the SmackDown Live brand if the former World Champion is ever drafted.

16 Could Take: Tommaso Ciampa

Via Pinterest

Tommaso Ciampa could easily be seen as the only real heel in WWE right now, mostly because Ciampa is so hated that he can't even have entrance music when he is performing in NXT. The former Tag Team Champion has been there to stop his former friend Johnny Gargano from progressing without him over the past few months but really hit the note with the WWE Universe when he ruined the ending of Avengers: Infinity War.

There are many people that Ciampa has annoyed and when he comes up to the main roster he will see that there are a lot of fans of superhero movies and many of them will put up much more of a fight that Gargano. Rollins could argue that he is someone that enjoys this film genre and if it came down to it, real heel or not, Rollins would easily be able to take out Ciampa. Of course, these two men also had similar routes into WWE given their background on the Indy's and then their impressive runs on NXT, but if it came down to it and there was a real fight between them then you have to see Rollins coming out on top here.

15 Probably Afraid Of: Chad Gable

Via WWE.com

Chad Gable is a former Olympic wrestler and someone who made it all the way to the summer games back in 2012 before he decided to switch to professional wrestling and has so far been able to give a good account for himself in a WWE ring. The former Tag Team Champion has recently been able to show off exactly what he is capable of and the sheer strength that he has, but this isn't something that has allowed the company to push him into a prominent position on their flagship show.

Much like Kurt Angle, Gable could do real damage in a fight because he has legitimate training where he knows how to take an opponent down do the ground and keep them down.

This isn't the kind of wrestling that many of the stars in that locker room are used to, Rollins weighs just 217lbs which means that he's much smaller than opponents that Gable is used to so he could easily take him in a real fight. If Rollins isn't afraid of Gable right now, then that's a very good reason for him to be and in future maybe choose him as his tag team partner next time he's in dire need of one.

14 Could Take: The Miz

www.wrestlenews.net

The Miz has the confidence and he has always had the attitude of a star, the only issue is that for a number of years he hasn't had the skills to back it up in the ring. Finally, The Miz is putting on some of the best matches of his career and could be heading towards a long-awaited showdown with Daniel Bryan, which would coincide with the launch of his new reality TV show.

The former World Champion came to WWE with very little background in professional wrestling, he was just someone who was good on the mic, he was disliked by many wrestlers backstage because of this and was even kicked out of the locker room as he pushed forward in a business he was unfamiliar with. Rollins was never in this position, he has always known what he has wanted to do and the passion that he has for the wrestling business as a whole is unmatched. The Miz runs his mouth a lot of the time but is unable to back it up, which is why it's easy to see Miz being someone that Rollins could take on in a real fight, he would just have to hear about it in raging promos for weeks afterward.

13 Probably Afraid Of: Braun Strowman

via pinterest.com

Braun Strowman, much like Mark Henry decided to join the company after making a name for himself as a strongman. Some of the feats of strength that Braun has shown on WWE TV over the past few years have been greatly exaggerated but the former Tag Team Champion is able to lift some impressive weights. Strowman and Rollins haven't stood across the ring from each other in a long time, but it's obvious that Strowman would be the one coming out on top.

In the wrestling world it could be seen as believable if Rollins was in good form that he could pin Braun but in a real fight, Strowman could lift Rollins with one hand and swat him away like a fly. WWE has a great dynamic which makes for an interesting clash of styles inside the ring, but what the WWE Universe forgets is that some of these stars were trained in other fighting styles before they decided to join WWE and learn to perform safely, so if they take off the safety switch and had a real-life fight then their opponent would definitely suffer. Strowman is one of the men who could easily take on most of the locker room in a real fight.

12 Could Take: Shinsuke Nakamura

via pinterest.com

Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins are another set of WWE superstars who are yet to do battle but could easily be seen on opposite sides of the ring in future, if Nakamura's heel work continues after his feud with AJ Styles comes to an end. Nakamura has become known for his striking ability and his "Strong Style" in the ring, which shows that he isn't someone who is scared to get hurt, but what does this mean for his ability in a real fight?

Remember, Rollins isn't a trained fighter, but many men don't have to be trained to win a fight, they just have to have the stamina to outlast their opponent and if he is able to dodge all of Nakamura's strikes then there is no reason why The Japanese star shouldn't be another name on his list. Despite this, Nakamura and Rollins share a passion for the wrestling business and if they were ever put in the same vicinity then it's more likely that they would start playing video games together rather than allowing things to turn violent, but if the worst was to happen then the safe bet would definitely be on Rollins, he's scrappy and would easily find a way to win.

11 Probably Afraid Of: Dean Ambrose

via wwe.com

That's right, the man that Rollins made a name for himself off the back of could be seen as one of the men that could easily take him down. Ambrose isn't much in the ring since he opted to have a character that doesn't have a move set to rely on, he just throws himself around and hopes for the best. Rollins easily took advantage of this when they were in a controlled environment, but what happens when a lunatic is free?

Ambrose came from the streets, he grew up in a rough part of town and learned early that he had to know how to look after himself.

Wrestling was something that took Ambrose away from that life but he won't have forgotten everything he learned as a child and if he had to back it up in a real fight then he definitely would. The former World Champion's time in CZW proved that he isn't scared to put his body on the line and bleed for the cause which can be dangerous for anyone who picks a fight with him, which could be why Ambrose keeps him close and the duo are seen as quite good friends outside of the ring.

10 Could Take: Baron Corbin

via popculture.com

Baron Corbin is someone who receives a lot of heat from the WWE Universe because he came into WWE with a background as a footballer and was able to adapt quickly to the business so WWE pushed him quite fast. What many fans forget about Baron is the fact that he also has a background in boxing, something that he shows when he is able to pull out his punches in the ring.

Boxing is another spot that relies heavily on stamina and conditioning and this could be why Baron was able to make the switch to boxing so seamlessly. If it came down to it then Baron would be expected to call upon his training as a boxer which would definitely come in handy in a real fight, but Rollins is someone who has defied the odds so many times and has learned to keep getting back up, he would frustrate Corbin to the point where he would make a mistake and then The Architect would take advantage. Training isn't everything, there have been instances backstage in recent years where even some of the biggest guys in the business have fallen to the smaller ones because they wanted it more.

9 Probably Afraid Of: Bobby Lashley

via cagesideseats.com

Bobby Lashley only recently returned to WWE after almost a decade away since it was rumoured that the company could be looking at a match between Lashley and Brock Lesnar in the future. The reason that this match is being made is because Lashley has a history in the Octagon as well and could be seen as a legitimate challenger for the current Universal Champion. Lashley has gone through some of the biggest men in the business in his time and he's successfully made the switch over to MMA and returned as well, there is no one out there who can argue that Lashley isn't a legitimate hard man and someone that could do real damage in a fight.

Rollins is a fraction of his size, he could breeze past him without even trying, simply because he has bulked himself up and he has been trained to take out opponents who will be resistant. Rollins has been trained to fight in a wrestling ring, the rules are a little different and CM Punk has shown that as his switch from the ring to the Octagon has been well documented over the past few years. Maybe one says Lashley and Rollins will cross paths on Raw and the WWE Universe will be able to see if he can find a way past him.

8 Could Take: Heath Slater

via wwe.com

Heath Slater has always worked better as a tag team wrestler, perhaps because he's someone who has always needed back up? He's been part of the company now for so long that he is practically part of the furniture but in that time he has never had a problem with any other star outside of the ring. Slater doesn't seem like the kind of man who would know what to do in a real fight, but sometimes people can shock you. The former Tag Team Champion has to have a quality that has allowed him to remain a main fixture in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world for so long, but that is yet to be revealed.

Rollins rarely has any issues backstage either but if Slater and Rollins were to get into a real fight then Slater would have to be an outside bet to win, but only if he had a weapon or some part of him that he has hidden from the WWE Universe throughout his career. It's hard to tell, but given the fact that Rollins is someone who works hard to maintain his figure and to ensure that he has incredible agility, you have to give him the edge here.

7 Probably Afraid Of: Aleister Black

Via loudersound.com

Aleister Black is the current NXT Champion after only being in WWE for around a year, the Black Mass heel kick has proved to be quite a successful move for Black. There will be a number of stars on the main roster right now hoping that Black remains down in NXT for a while longer so that they can prepare for what is coming and one of those men is Seth Rollins.

Aleister Black has taken WWE by storm but it's his background in martial arts and the accuracy of his kicks that make him one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch right now. Obviously, these skills aren't just used for his arsenal in the ring, he is a trained striker and if it came down to it then he could definitely back himself up in a fight. There aren't many wrestlers in WWE right now that would be happy to start a real fight with Aleister Black, so if Rollins is one of the many backstage stars who walk on eggshells around him, then he isn't alone. Black is set for huge things in WWE, but before he gets to the top, he needs to remove the people who are currently on the ladder.

6 Could Take: Jason Jordan

via news24feed.com

Jason Jordan is a former Independent wrestler who found his niche in NXT when he was aligned with Chad Gable and the duo became known as American Alpha. Even though Jordan was brought to the Raw roster and seen as the son of Kurt Angle, this is all storyline, he doesn't possess any of the skills outside of the ring that "his father" had and if it came down to it, he wouldn't be a hard person to beat in a fight.

Jordan and Rollins have a history after the Angle forced the duo to join forces and win the Raw Tag Team Championships on Christmas Day last year, titles that Jordan later cost them and then ruined any chances that they had at reclaiming them before he was forced on the sidelines with a neck injury. Jordan now has a weakness, for the rest of his career all of his opponents will target his neck, but while none of them will be out to intentionally hurt him, in a real fight that would be an easy injury to take advantage of. Rollins has to have been in a real fight before and he will know that even though it's a harsh way to win, but exposing your opponent's weakness is the simplest way to get a victory.

5 Probably Afraid Of: Chris Jericho

Via Pinterest.com

Now, Chris Jericho is definitely a name that seems unexpected, but when you look at some of the facts about Y2J, it would be understandable if Seth Rollins was actually afraid of him. Jericho was reported to have been the man who stood up to Goldberg in WCW, he then stood up to Brock Lesnar and almost caused a real-life fight when the current Universal Champion injured Orton at SummerSlam back in 2015 and even took on Sin Cara in a real backstage brawl.

Jericho is a man who has made it his mission to prove that he isn't someone who backs down from a fight inside or outside of the ring.

He has the history to claim that he is a real bad dude. Rollins and Jericho have had their own fair share of issues in the ring as well, but even the former Shield member isn't stupid enough to want to cause a real argument with Jericho knowing what he has been capable of in the past. Jericho has earned himself that reputation and now he can be respected and feared for it since it's obvious that Rollins isn't the only superstar backstage who's afraid of The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla.

4 Could Take: Roman Reigns

via wwe.com

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have been good friends for years, they have traveled together as part of The Shield and when they were first put together back in 2012, Dean Ambrose and Rollins were the men who were given the task of helping Reigns to adapt to the business. The fact that the current Intercontinental Champion had a hand in training Reigns when he first debuted on the main roster means that he knows all of his weaknesses and could easily use them against him.

Reigns has a background in American Football, he is an athlete, he wasn't someone that was trained to a high level in the wrestling world before he came to WWE like Rollins and he doesn't seem to be someone who continues to push himself to the highest level in the gym like The Architect continues to do right now. Rollins has been head and shoulders above many of the superstars on the Raw roster for a number of years and even though WWE see Reigns as the future of the business, that doesn't mean Rollins wouldn't think twice about pushing himself past him and exposing all of his weaknesses, if it came down to it.

3 Probably Afraid Of: Brock Lesnar

Via bloodyelbow.com

Brock Lesnar is someone who has struck fear into the hearts of many current WWE superstars throughout his reign as Universal Champion and so far there is no man who has been able to take that title away. Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and even Roman Reigns have all stepped up to try and battle The Beast but left empty handed.

Lesnar's background in UFC and knowing full well that he wouldn't think twice about snapping an opponents arm if they were locked in the Kimora could be one of the reasons why he is so good at getting everything that he wants. Rollins could be the next man to step up and challenge Lesnar for that Championship at SummerSlam in a few months time, but while WWE have managed to build Rollins into someone who is seen as a legitimate threat to Lesnar's title reign, he has no chance of doing the same thing in a real fight. Lesnar is bigger and stronger than Rollins and he has been trained to fight against resistant opponents, which is something that wrestling training doesn't teach, all that Rollins has to his advantage is his speed, and that wouldn't be a lot of use to him.

2 Could Take: Cesaro

via baltimoresun.com

Cesaro is someone who could be seen as one of the strongest stars in the locker room right now since his core strength has always been the thing that stands out. Cesaro and Seth Rollins have been best friends for the past few years and when both of them were performing on the Raw roster, they were traveling buddies and often found time to work out together too.

This means that Cesaro and Rollins both know a lot about each other which includes knowing each other's strengths as well as all of their weaknesses. It's hard to see someone like Rollins having many weaknesses since he's always pushing himself through anything that he perceives as a problem, but if it came down to it then he could use these weaknesses against Cesaro. There's a reason WWE think Cesaro is best suited to tag team wrestling, which is a shame because there was a time when The Swiss Superman had the entire WWE Universe behind him and he could have gone on to be on the same level as Rollins right now, but the plug was pulled and now he's stuck in a rut alongside Sheamus in the SmackDown Live Tag Team Division.

1 Probably Afraid Of: Ronda Rousey

via catch-newz.com

Ronda Rousey's Royal Rumble debut earlier this year changed the face of the Women's Division in WWE forever, but she also managed to create waves across the Monday Night Raw roster that ensured that the male superstars were taking note as well. At WrestleMania, she proved that she doesn't mind stepping into the ring against a male opponent if she has to when she went toe-to-toe with Triple H.

Ronda threw the COO around the ring like he was just another rag doll to be handled.

That must have been something that every male superstar in that locker room was watching closely and wondering if they were next. There will be a time when Ronda runs out of women to defeat and she could then believably move on to the male roster if the company allowed it. Ronda's background in UFC and the fact that she changed Dana White's promotion for the better all those years ago means that she could easily do the same in WWE and every single male wrestler in that company should be looking over their shoulder at The Baddest Woman on Planet Earth right now, knowing that it's just a matter of time before she comes for them too.
