Stephanie McMahon is a controversial figure in WWE who divides the WWE Universe in half. Many fans love her for all the work she puts in on and off camera and commend her for the fantastic heel character she portrays. On the other hand is a portion of fans, a large portion, who dislike Stephanie because of the way she emasculates every single WWE Superstar and never seems to get stood up to, derailing many characters in the process.

However, whether you love her or not it's hard to say anything negative about her commitment and love for WWE. She was born into the company and has never left, slowly rising higher and higher behind the scenes to gain more influence and power. The time is coming for when Vince McMahon hands over the keys to the kingdom to somebody, and Stephanie is certainly in line to be that person, with the Daddy's girl and her husband, Triple H seemingly poised to take over at the drop of a hat.

But what would WWE look like with Stephanie in charge? There would certainly be some major changes as she would have different opinions from her father, likely on many elements of WWE, and that includes the roster. There would be some shifts backstage, with some wrestlers gaining pushes because Stephanie sees something in them, while others would likely be cut altogether, but who would she push and who would she release?

20 Would Push: Nia Jax

Nia Jax has just received her first ever championship in WWE after defeating Alexa Bliss in New Orleans for a WrestleMania moment she is never going to forget and the future certainly looks bright for her. Prior to this feud with Bliss, it is fair to say that the booking of Nia Jax has been hit and miss.

While she has been kept dominant, Jax could have been treated much differently, but it appears the company has finally seen her potential.

Given the storyline WWE is going with in regards to Nia's body size, it's clear WWE has no problem in telling that type of story, and that is something Steph would likely want to continue, using Nia as an inspiration to younger girls around the world.

19 Would Release: Rusev

Photo: WWE.com

It is clear that WWE doesn't understand Rusev or how 'Rusev Day' has become a thing, but the company is still keeping him around because he shifts merchandise and if you make money then you make WWE happy. But if you follow Rusev on Twitter, you will know he isn't shy about giving his opinions on the matter of him not being pushed. It's fair enough that Rusev is frustrated with his role within the company, but constantly bashing the booking decisions online makes everyone look bad.

Stephanie McMahon is a clear advocate of using social media as a tool to promote the company, so when she sees one of her employees doing what Rusev does and removing all WWE references from his bio, she might not look on it so kindly.

18 Would Push: Bayley

via diva-dirt.com

Stephanie McMahon's favourite slogan is that WWE is all about "putting smiles on peoples faces," and you will struggle to find many superstars who do it better than Bayley, who is the purest babyface you could possibly find. She might never get the heel turn which some wrestling fans do want to see for Bayley but she would certainly be set for plenty of runs as champion and would be pushed hard as the John Cena of the women's division.

If Stephanie truly cares as much as she seems to about her famous slogan, then Bayley is a wrestler she would hang her hat on, giving her all the chances to become the fan favorite amongst the WWE Universe.

17 Would Release: Kurt Angle

via youtube.com

Every time that Stephanie McMahon and Kurt Angle are on screen together there is a bad vibe that is just incredibly awkward. While tension is something that is supposed to be portraying, the situation between them is very odd to watch. Just like when Mick Foley was the general manager, Stephanie dominates the screen and totally overpowers Angle, making him seem pathetic. Whether it's because the Olympic hero keeps on fluffing his lines and it frustrates Stephanie or if she just likes to be that dominant is unknown but Angle's role is almost pointless at this point.

If Steph wants to be in control this much then it can be simply sorted; release Angle and have him work a legends contract while she works as the on-screen Authority figure that she clearly can't let go of.

16 Would Push: Daniel Bryan

via si.com

He's back and I don't think there is a single person in the entire world that isn't over the moon about the fact that Daniel Bryan is once again wrestling inside a WWE ring, and that includes Stephanie McMahon.

There is no doubt WWE is going to be very protective over Bryan this time around.

No one can blame the company for being cautious about pushing him too hard through fear of his health. However, Stephanie might put those worries to the back of her mind to give Bryan that World Title push again should she get in charge. Stephanie and Bryan have a connection from all the work they did with Connor The Crusher and that's something that Stephanie would like to continue promotion, especially if Bryan became champion again.

15 Would Release: Alicia Fox

via wwe.com

Alicia Fox is one of WWE's longest-serving employees on the current roster, yet despite how long she has worked for the company, Foxy doesn't really have much to show for her time, does she? But it isn't the fact she has done a whole lot of nothing that Stephanie would release her, though it would be a contributing factor, she has not represented in the company in the greatest way throughout her time, as she is known as a party girl in WWE.

The partying got the best of her over WrestleMania 34 weekend when she got into a confrontation with Ronda Rousey's husband, something which hasn't put her in management's good books and a situation Stephanie would likely punish her for.

14 Would Push: Seth Rollins

Photo: WWE.com

Both on-screen and off, Seth Rollins and Stephanie McMahon get on incredibly well. Rollins would never have been given his role in The Authority without the approval of both Stephanie and Hunter, and the fact he was put in that position shows they both think he is the real deal. Rollins has been given countless opportunities ever since he was put on the main roster and has never been far away from the title hunt, something that would not change if Stephanie McMahon took charge on her own.

Whether Rollins could actually be pushed anymore than he has throughout his career is unknown, but Stephanie would certainly be keeping him around to be a top star in her company.

13 Would Release: Shane McMahon

via si.com

Can you just imagine? The wrestling world would implode if Stephanie and Triple H finally took over from Vince and simply released Shane McMahon from his contract, it would be a very brave call. Ever since Shane first left WWE it was made clear that when the time comes for Vince McMahon to hand over the company, that would be happening to Stephanie and her husband, Triple H, not his son Shane.

Even though Shane has now returned, that seems to very much be the same decision and there has been plenty of reports about tension between the siblings because of that, so Stephanie could easily end that tension by simply getting rid of her brother.

12 Would Push: Goldust

via twitter.com

A future WWE Hall Of Famer and one of the all-time greats with possibly one of the best gimmicks in wrestling history, Goldust is actually nearing the end of his career at this point, but there's no doubt he is still in incredible shape and in-ring condition. Because of that, Goldust certainly has one more solid mid-card run left in him and that is something that Stephanie would happily give to him if she took charge of the company, mainly because of Goldust's family.

Stephanie has tremendous respect for Dusty Rhodes and the closeness between Dusty and Triple H is something she won't have forgotten in a hurry.

While she might not rush to sign Cody Rhodes back, who has gone on to become an even bigger name than he was in WWE, she would happily give Goldust one final run to retire on top.

11 Would Release: Titus O'Neil

via f4wonline.com

Who remembers when Titus O'Neil was randomly suspended from WWE, seemingly out of nowhere? Most people have probably forgotten about this situation but one person who won't have forgotten is Stephanie McMahon. O'Neil was suspended for putting his hands on Vince McMahon on live television and even though the reason for that was because he actually wanted Vince to wait and let Stephanie go first, that doesn't change the fact he put his hands on his boss, and more importantly, Steph's father.

There is no doubt that Steph won't have forgotten about this little incident and given that he isn't exactly a major player in the company right now, she would likely have no problem in cutting ties.

10 Would Push: Mike Kanellis

Photo: SportsKeeda.com

You may have forgotten that Mike Kanellis is employed by WWE, but I assure you he is. With his wife away pregnant, WWE seems to have totally forgotten about him with the 'Power of Love' gimmick not really working. It's a shame really as Mike is a fantastic worker and would certainly make a solid mid-carder for WWE. But if Stephanie took over that is something that could be in his future, as he has a story WWE can promote.

Kanellis has recently overcome personal issues and is now living a clean life.

WWE loves stories like this that the company can get behind and really promote, putting their talents into the mainstream with a feel-good story.

9 Would Release: David Otunga

via wwe.com

The fact David Otunga is actually still under contract with WWE is totally baffling considering how little he has actually done in his wrestling career, but nevertheless, that might change if Stephanie takes over. Steph is promoting herself as being a big advocate for women in recent years and considering Otunga's current situation in his personal life, she might be inclined to make a stand against him.

Otunga and his wife, Jennifer Hudson have split recently because of a domestic abuse issue, with Hudson even going as far as putting a restraining order against him. With that in mind and the fact he is easily replaceable, Stephanie might cut Otunga.

8 Would Push: Velveteen Dream

via twitter.com

WWE loves it when 'one of their own' makes it to the big time. It doesn't happen all that often, but when it does the company likes to let you know about it, and they have the chance to do that with Velveteen Dream.

The NXT star isn't an independent star who has gone and made his name for Ring Of Honor or in Japan like many of WWE's current top stars have and the fact Dream is a WWE made property is something that Stephanie would promote. With Triple H clearly a huge fan as well, Dream's future seems set for a massive career and rightfully so. Not only would he be pushed because of the fact WWE has created him, but also because he is a fantastic wrestler.

7 Would Release: Curt Hawkins

via ewrestlingnews.com

Given that her husband is the mastermind behind everything to do with NXT, it is likely that Stephanie is going to want to free up some space to allow some of the wrestlers he is working with to be moved to the main roster. After all, there are only so many hours of main roster TV and if people aren't released there can only be a set amount of NXT talent that ever move on to Raw or SmackDown so some deadwood has to go.

Unfortunatley for Curt Hawkins, he could find himself on the chopping block. Hawkins is nearing a 200 match defeated streak and it seems like WWE has zero plans for him, so he would be a sensible choice.

6 Would Push: Ronda Rousey

via stillrealtous.com

Despite their on-screen rivalry so far in WWE, Stephanie McMahon actually has a tremendous amount of respect for Ronda Rousey and was a big advocate in WWE signing her. The fact that everything Rousey has done so far in WWE has been with Stephanie, dating all the way back to her WrestleMania 31 angle alongside The Rock, Steph has been at the heart of everything Rousey has done.

After all this time in the business, Stephanie has certainly learned a thing or two about how to make money and she isn't a fool. Steph knows all too well that the former UFC star can print money for WWE and she would be a main event star if Stephanie took charge.

5 Would Release: Dolph Ziggler

via wwe.com

While Rusev might often tweet about his position in the company, Dolph Ziggler tends to go one step further and fully address the situation during press interviews, a time when he is supposed to be promoting the company. Obviously, Ziggler has had a tough WWE career, not quite reaching the level that he likely should have done given his potential, with plenty of stop-start pushes that would certainly frustrate most people.

However, the way he constantly talks about it and makes the company look bad is something that Stephanie likely wouldn't stand for. With the amount of talent waiting in the wings in NXT, letting Ziggler leave wouldn't be a big issue for her.

4 Would Push: Charlotte Flair

via twitter.com

Whether Charlotte Flair could actually be pushed anymore remains to be seen, but Stephanie McMahon would certainly give it a good go and it's one that I wouldn't have any complaints about, as she is the best female wrestler in the world. Stephanie is a big fan of Charlotte's and is one of the women on the roster she hasn't gone head to head with on screen, likely for that reason. Because of Charlotte's family, there is no doubt a level of immense respect between them and that is something Steph would no doubt reward.

Not to mention, Stephanie's husband Triple H is one of Ric Flair's closest friends, with the pair sharing a very close bond, something Stephanie wouldn't want to get in the way of, especially with all the work Triple H has put into helping Charlotte in the early stages of her career.

3 Would Release: Paul Heyman

via wwe.com

He technically does not belong on this list because Paul Heyman is not a professional wrestler, far from it in fact. But he is a member of the current roster and it's my list so he's making the cut. Speaking of cut, that is exactly what would happen to Heyman if Stephanie McMahon took over WWE, with the advocate for Brock Lesnar likely finding himself on the unemployment line.

Their dislike for each other goes all the way back to when Heyman was writing for SmackDown in the early 2000's and hasn't been dropped by either. With that much tension, Stephanie would certainly find it easier to just get rid of him.

2 Would Push: Jinder Mahal

via wwe.com

Stephanie McMahon's husband might be prepared to push small wrestlers such as Johnny Gargano or people who don't fit WWE's typical mold like Samoa Joe or Kevin Owens, but she is a McMahon and we all know what they prefer. Vince has made a career out of pushing a certain type of wrestler, who is often incredibly jacked and in fantastic shape, whether they have the talent to back it up in the ring or not and Stephanie would be no different.

Given that she fell in love with someone who is of that body type, it's clear she follows her father's feelings about a man with a physique and there are few men in better shape than Jinder Mahal in WWE. With the impact he can have in India added on, he would be set to continue receiving a push.

1 Would Release: Paige

via youtube.com

Despite the fact that WWE is currently not giving up on Paige regardless of her troublesome last year, partying antics and the fact she has been forced to retire from in-ring competition, Stephanie McMahon might not be that kind if she took over the company. McMahon has made it clear on many occasions that her prime focus is "putting smiles on peoples faces" and protecting the brand's image, something that Paige has damaged countless times.

Stephanie is also one of the main reasons as to why Chyna isn't in the WWE Hall Of Fame, with the argument being that kids search her name and find the links to porn. Given Paige's videotapes, the same can, unfortunately, be said for the current SmackDown Live general manager, something that Steph may not appreciate.
