WrestleMania Season is about to kick off with the Royal Rumble which will set the table for the feuds fans may see at WrestleMania 35. Rumors regarding matches for the grandest stage of them all as well as major pushes coming this year have circulated around the web. While nothing is set in stone for the WrestleMania main event, its matches or for the future pushes of established superstars, one thing that is for sure, however, is that after WrestleMania, Vince McMahon will once again “shake things up.”

With WWE’s partnership with FOX, the Brand Split is guaranteed to continue. That also means that the WWE Draft/Superstar Shake Up is sure to happen once again, and many wrestling fans believe this will occur soon after WrestleMania to freshen up the rosters. This will create new feuds, new matches and hopefully a clean slate for certain superstars that have been struggling on their respective brands. This will also open the door for planned pushes of superstars that have been hyped for a big 2019.

Whether it’s to give a superstar a monster push, a fresh start or a simple change of scenery, many superstars on the WWE roster have been the subject of a possible brand switch for months. Fans have seen wrestlers propelled to the top through the draft, and fans are hoping a brand change will revitalize certain superstars that have been forgotten in 2018. Though time will tell if these reports hold true, here are 20 superstars that seem set to switch brands after WrestleMania, and why these brand switches make sense.

20 Finn Balor To SmackDown

via sportskeeda.com

One name that keeps coming up with regards to a brand switch is Finn Balor. The Extraordinary Man Who Does Extraordinary Things really hasn’t done anything extraordinary since his day long Universal Title win on Raw. That makes him a perfect target for a potential switch.

With Lesnar hoarding the Universal Title, Balor never got a chance to regain it. However, Finn hasn’t even received many Intercontinental Title shots either. Balor also fueled stories of a switch by saying he’d be “happy” with whichever brand he wrestled for. Clearly, fans wouldn’t mind a change for Finn, and a fresh feud with Daniel Bryan on SmackDown would be quite interesting.

19 AJ Styles To Raw

via bleacherreport.com

Another exciting reason why fans may want to see Finn Balor moved to SmackDown would be to see a feud with AJ Styles. Unfortunately, the powers that be just don’t to want these former Bullet Club members on the same brand.

While on SmackDown, AJ Styles was the face that ran the place, but he may be looking at a new residency after WrestleMania. The Phenomenal One has carried SmackDown on his back and has really done all he can for that brand. With a reduced schedule coming up for AJ, a change of scenery will not only freshen him up but will also lessen the burden of having to carry an entire show. That puts Styles high on the list of would-be trades to Raw. Though fans might miss Balor and Styles on the same brand, AJ feuding with Seth Rollins would definitely be phenomenal.

18 Ronda Rousey To SmackDown

via wwe.com

With WWE’s big partnership with FOX, big changes will be coming to SmackDown this year. One of these changes will be Ronda Rousey moving from Raw to SmackDown.

FOX is apparently shooting for more sports and less comedic programming to SmackDown Live, and WWE is likely to comply. FOX is also hoping to have a big name like Rousey to help promote their sports block. With FOX against having SmackDown stars appearing on both Raw and SmackDown, it’s highly possible that Rousey loses her Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania, setting up “The Baddest Women on the Planet” to be drafted over to SmackDown.

17 Becky Lynch To Raw

via wwe.com

Another SmackDown superstar that is almost guaranteed to switch brands is The Man herself, Becky Lynch. Some sort of match involving Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey is going to take place at WrestleMania, whether Charlotte is added to it or not. This means Becky could possibly win the Women’s Royal Rumble and challenge Ronda for the Raw Women’s Title, putting her on the Raw brand after her title win.

With Ronda moving over to SmackDown afterwards, WrestleMania 35 may be the only time Rousey and Lynch can face off. Still, the move actually makes sense. Becky can win the Raw Women’s Title, while Rousey can move to SmackDown and pick up her feud against The Queen.

16 Braun Strowman To SmackDown

via wwe.com

The Monster Among Men was on the precipice of breaking out into a major star. All he had to do was beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. Unfortunately, Braun Strowman failed to do so and really hasn’t looked good in any of his meetings with The Beast.

WWE still sees Strowman as a future star, but his time on Raw may be coming to an end. After a confusing heel turn and repeated losses to Lesnar, it’s time for Strowman to see some new opponents and recover some of his lost credibility. If SmackDown truly is the land of opportunity then look for superstars like Strowman to be unleashed there rather than hindered any longer on Raw.

15 Samoa Joe To Raw

via twitter.com/SamoaJoe

Samoa Joe couldn’t get far on Raw with Roman Reigns holding the Intercontinental Title, and Brock Lesnar holding the Universal Title. Fans speculated that the Samoan Submission Machine would go far on SmackDown, however that hasn’t been the case either.

Joe had a WWE Title feud with AJ Styles but saw nothing come of it. With Samoa Joe treading water on SmackDown, fans have pegged him for another stint on Raw. With Lesnar possibly leaving and Reigns out indefinitely, Raw may be looking for someone like Samoa Joe to help out Raw’s main event scene. Even without holding a title, Joe always seemed like a major threat on Raw, unlike on SmackDown where he’s just taking up space in the mid-card.

14 Drew McIntyre To Smackdown

via wrestleyard.com

Drew McIntyre is set for a monster push in 2019, but this push probably won’t be happening on Raw. Rumors have indicated that Seth Rollins, not Drew McIntyre, will win the Universal Title over Brock Lesnar. While that could set up a feud between Rollins and McIntyre, it’s more likely Drew will head to SmackDown to protect Seth’s big win.

Vince McMahon has said the Drew McIntyre will be a future World Champion, and it’s likely he will be. However, officials won’t want to knock off Seth Rollins too quickly after his future Universal Title win. Due to this, many fans see McIntyre heading to SmackDown where he will soon be crowned new WWE Champion on the blue brand as opposed to the Universal Champion on the red one.

13 Aiden English To Raw

via wwe.com

Aiden English has lost two of his tag teams with The Vaudevillains and Rusev Day, but he’s more than capable of continuing his singles career alone. However, Rusev is the one ascending to the top while English is left in his dust. With Rusev on the rise and English going nowhere, speculation is running rampant about English’s Smackdown future.

English didn’t exactly curb these rumors either. When a fan asked English on Twitter about moving to 205 Live, English responded with, “Hmmm…” With Rusev and English’s tag team break-up and feud apparently over, English hasn’t had much to do on SmackDown. A change could be in order for English, whether it’s a move to the Cruiserweight Division or switching from SmackDown to Raw.

12 Bobby Lashley To SmackDown

via wwe.com

Bobby Lashley made some headlines when he returned to WWE, unfortunately, he hasn’t done much since then besides point at his hamstrings. Lashley may have found some new life with his heel turn and the addition of Lio Rush as his spokesperson, but The Almighty isn’t going to be making anymore headlines staying on Raw.

Lashley is moving into a feud with Seth Rollins which could be prepping The Architect for his penned feud with Lesnar. If Lashley is supposed to lose this feud, then it’s a good time for Lashley to head over to SmackDown. Lashley could prop up SmackDown’s depleted mid-card or bolster even further SmackDown’s main event scene which could be in for a major overhaul.

11 The Usos to Raw

via thechairshot.com

Raw’s Tag Team Division is a bit of a mess. Most of Raw’s past dominant tag teams have either split up or gone to SmackDown. Meanwhile, other tag teams like The Revival have been decimated by stupid losses for most of their main roster tenure. With the Authors of Pain the only legit tag team that hasn’t been slopped together, Raw is desperate for tag teams. Luckily, SmackDown has more tag teams than they know what to do with.

With Raw’s current tag team situation, The Usos are expected to be heading to Raw. Most of SmackDown’s other tag teams have already spent time on Raw since the split, with The Usos being the exception. That makes them likely candidates for a brand switch.

10 Bobby Roode To SmackDown

via wwe.com

Former NXT Champion Bobby Roode came up from NXT to SmackDown and was able to capture the United States Championship while there. Unfortunately, his move to Raw has been less than glorious.

Due to a crowded middle and upper card, The Glorious Bobby Roode really had nowhere to go on Raw. Instead, Roode was randomly placed in a tag team with Chad Gable. Yes, they won the Raw Tag Team Titles, but Roode deserves better. With a draft on its way, fans have Roode heading back to SmackDown where he saw singles success. On SmackDown, Roode can find himself back in the mid-card and back in U.S. Title contention.

9 The IIconics To Raw

via wrestlinginc.com

Another tag team that could find itself on Raw could be The IIconics. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce made a huge impact on their SmackDown debut, destroying Charlotte and costing her the SmackDown Women’s Title. However, since their debut, The IIconics have done absolutely nothing else notable on the blue brand.

A change to Raw could ascend The IIconics past the jobber status that they’ve held since coming to SmackDown. They could wreak havoc as heels or turn babyface and feud with The Riott Squad. Needless to say, The IIconics need a change, and many fans believe they’ll be making the switch in 2019.

8 Bayley To SmackDown

via cagesideseats.com

Bayley had a run with the Raw Women’s Title. However, if you blinked you missed it. That title win feels like a lifetime ago, and the Huggable One hasn’t seen many title opportunities since Ronda Rousey came to Raw. With the lack of opportunities, Bayley has been pushing for Women’s Tag Team Titles instead, but a switch to SmackDown could completely change her tag team campaign.

Many fans believe Bayley will be taking her Bayley Buddies to SmackDown to put her back in the singles title hunt. With fresh opponents, Bayley could get a more deserving push on SmackDown or, at the very least, see her in some new feuds.

7 Randy Orton To Raw

via wwe.com

The Viper was looking to be the face of the SmackDown brand since his initial draft there. However, since losing the WWE Title, Randy Orton hasn’t been the top face since his feud with Jinder Mahal. Even with his recent heel turn, Orton hasn’t climbed any higher on the card and isn’t the top heel at the moment either.

However, Orton could become the Apex Predator once again with a switch to Raw. The draft could immediately place him in the main event scene and finally get him out of SmackDown’s mid-card. With top stars probably on the move to SmackDown, and Lesnar leaving for UFC, Raw will need some heavy hitters on the red brand. Once back in the upper card, Orton could be an RKO away from becoming Universal Champion.

6 Sasha Banks To SmackDown

via stillrealtous.com

One of the reasons fans place either Sasha Banks or her best friend Bayley on the SmackDown brand is to separate them. Fans are growing tired of seeing the friendship of The Boss and The Hugger, which is why separating them makes sense. However, there’s reason to believe both could find themselves on Tuesday nights.

The Women’s Tag Team Division isn’t going away, and Sasha and Bayley are front-runners to win those titles. They may find themselves taking those titles to Smackdown, but WWE could go in another direction also. Bayley and Sasha have hinted at a feud on Raw, and WWE could finally plug the trigger on splitting the friends up on Smackdown. Either way, look for Bayley and Sasha to leave Raw come 2019.

5 The Miz To Raw

via MankyMedia.com

After carrying Raw on his back, many fans believed The Miz was assured to win the WWE Title on SmackDown. Oddly enough, that has yet to happen. There’s still a chance Miz could win it at WrestleMania 35, but with Daniel Bryan’s unexpected heel turn, The Miz’s chances of winning the title have become a lot less likely.

With The Miz’s SmackDown tenure failing to meet the fans’ expectations, The Miz could be seeing a move back to Raw. Miz carried the Intercontinental Title on Raw, which was essentially the main title, with the Universal Title infrequently seen. This time around, the Universal Title may be possible for The A-Lister, and after seeing his great work for the past two years, a Universal Title win for The Miz would be truly AWESOME.

4 Bray Wyatt To SmackDown

WWE fans would have a hard time finding a more disappointing character than Bray Wyatt on Raw. WWE may have forgotten, but Bray Wyatt is a former WWE Champion. With this in mind, fans had hoped to see a huge push for The Eater of Worlds on Raw. However, Wyatt saw no chance in the main event scene and never even sniffed a mid-card title opportunity.

After his run on Raw has been so poorly booked, fans believe Wyatt will follow the buzzards all the way back to SmackDown. Wyatt had some lackluster feuds with Finn Balor and Matt Hardy and eventually won the Tag Team Titles with Hardy, but Wyatt should be in the upper card. Wyatt can be that on Smackdown, but fans are fearing for his WWE future should he fail once again.

3 Shinsuke Nakamura To Raw

via wwe.com

Fans would have a hard time calling Shinsuke Nakamura’s SmackDown run a failure with his United States Title win and multiple WWE Title opportunities. However, many WWE fans still have The Artist leaving those feuds behind him and building his credibility on Monday nights.

Nakamura won the Royal Rumble but failed to win the WWE Title. While he did win the U.S. Title, fans still felt it was a step backwards. However, Nakamura can build on that win on Raw and hopefully climb the ladder to the Universal Title. Nakamura has never been on Raw, and despite his success on SmackDown Live, many fans have a feeling he’ll be on the move in 2019.

2 Apollo Crews To Smackdown

via twitter.com

Reports have been circulating that Apollo Crews will be in line for another big push in 2019. Crews has gone solo from Titus Worldwide and is coming for Dean Ambrose’s Intercontinental Title. This is a big opportunity for Crews, but it’s doubtful that he will end The Lunatic Fringe’s title reign.

If Crews should come up short against Ambrose, a trade is almost certain. Apollo could head for the land of opportunity and fans expect him to pick up some mid-card wins there. Seemingly many of the big pushes for 2019 are heading to SmackDown, but those superstars look to bolster the main event scene. Crews’ push, on the other hand, could occur in the mid-card, and should Crews move to SmackDown, a United States Title win is almost assured.

1 Luke Harper To Raw

The former Wyatt Family member, Luke Harper, has had an up and down career on SmackDown. He’s seen some big moments, being involved in feuds for the WWE and United States Titles. He’s even won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles twice, but fans can still argue that the Tag Team Division is holding Harper back.

When he’s not in the Wyatt Family or as a Bludgeon Brother, Luke Harper has seen the most success. Harper is extremely talented, for a big man, and has won the Intercontinental Title on Raw once before. It’s time to set Harper free for good and move him over to Raw. Harper can give Raw’s mid-card some depth and could also be a threat in the upper card as well.
