Over the years, wrestling has grown less and less dependent upon one former fixture: managers. In previous eras, there were some amazing managers. Even some of the greatest talkers in sports entertainment had themselves a manager—guys like Hulk Hogan, for example. In the current era, fans don't see much in the way of managers in WWE. We've got Paul Heyman, and that's nearly about it.

Now, while there is a distinct lack of managers in WWE, there is not a lack of Superstars who could benefit from a manager. There are plenty of wrestlers who aren't as strong with their promos as one would want, which is where a manager comes in. So let's look at 5 wrestlers who could benefit from a manager, and the 5 people who could manage them!

10 This Wrestler Could Use A Manager: Ricochet

Perhaps the most obvious candidate on the main roster, but by no means the only one. Why is he on the list? Ricochet is an incredible athlete. He's a human highlight reel, and perhaps the most exciting performer on the roster at the moment.

Give him a moment to speak, however, and things aren't quite as awesome. This is a perfect reason to give him his own spokesperson, to handle those bits for him. But who?

9 Who Should Manage Him: X-Pac

Maybe this one is a bit out of left field, but there could be something to it. Pac wasn't half bad on the mic, and with WWE doing what they can to keep all of their big names away from AEW, giving him a managerial opportunity could be a great play.

During his prime, X-Pac was a flier, not unlike Ricochet today. Now, if fans weren't convinced to go with X-Pac here? Perhaps an alternative would be someone like Edge. Either personality could work well alongside The One And Only.

8 This Wrestler Could Use A Manager: Ronda Rousey

This one might be a bit of a shocker, because Rousey has been in WWE long enough without one that she's done OK on her own. That said, there's someone who has always had her ear, and she's done well to get his advice all along. Taking that one step further would actually make a ton of sense. It would also set the table for something else WWE sorely lacks nowadays-dominant stables, or stables of any kind. So who is this lucky guy?

7 Who Should Manage Her: Paul Heyman

See, this one was simple enough. Rousey has been talking to Heyman since she debuted. Heyman is something of a promo whisperer, after all. Of all the areas of Rousey's game, she was and is weakest on the mic.

Plus, there is the obvious MMA connection, as Heyman already is the advocate for Brock Lesnar. And, down the road, when WWE is ready to bring the other three MMA Horsewomen to the main roster? Boom, instant stable.

6 These Wrestlers Could Use A Manager: Authors Of Pain

True, this duo-when not injured-was already being managed by Drake Maverick. But here's the thing. Even before they were taken off TV due to some injuries getting in the way, Drake was already doing double duty with 205 Live. Since that time? Maverick has been even busier, chasing around the 24/7 Championship. The other thing to keep in mind here? Honestly, Maverick was not all that compelling as their manager. So, who do they work with now?

5 Who Should Manage Them: Paul Ellering

Yep, this one is all about undoing the mistake that WWE made when this team came up from NXT. Granted, this does assume that Ellering would want the job back, but for the time being, we will presume that he'd jump at the chance.

And why not? Ellering was the perfect manager for these monsters. He worked well with them in NXT, so why can't he repeat his mastery on the main roster?

4 These Wrestlers Could Use A Manager: The Revival

This one was almost too easy. Here's the thing-over the years, one can think of plenty of tag teams that had managers, more than any other wrestling class it seems. Now, as it pertains to Dash and Dawson? Sure, they've done fine enough on their own. They are rumored to be unhappy, however, or at least slow to re-sign with WWE. All that being said, these two are no frills wrestlers, tough and talented...and they remind fans of some wrestlers from a prior generation. So, why not lean on one of those legends they seem to emulate, to fill their managerial role?

3 Who Should Manage Them: Arn Anderson

As was said, this one was almost too easy. The first time anyone would have seen Dash and Dawson, you'd be hard pressed to not see a striking resemblance to Anderson.

From the look, the ring attire, the style, these two are throwbacks to an era where Anderson made his mark and became a Hall of Famer. Now, while Arn is no longer with WWE, bringing him back to manage this duo would be a great move, and a perfect fit.

2 This Wrestler Could Use A Manager: Bobby Lashley

This one is kind of painfully obvious, isn't it? Lashley had Lio Rush as his "hype man", but then Lio Rush became his own worst enemy and imploded. We haven't seen Rush again, and probably won't for a long time to come. While Lashley is spending time recovering from an injury, WWE needs to spend this time figuring out who could do some of the talking for him. He's just so bland on promos, he needs a manager or valet in the worst way possible.

1 Who Should Manage Him: David Otunga

Is it a name a bit out of left field? Perhaps. Is it a name that could be crazy good? Absolutely. Otunga has the background and the ability to talk, it's not so hard to imagine he starts building a monster heel stable, if WWE wanted to set that up for him. If they did, what better place to start than by signing Lashley to be his alpha male? Will it happen? No idea, but it's not the craziest one out there. Would be a nice way to use Otunga again, and breathe some new life into Lashley in the process.
