Due in large part to the rise of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), the world of professional wrestling has never been in a better state than it is in right now. When wrestlers like Jordan Myles and Austin Aries feel comfortable enough leaving the company due to how they feel they have been treated, it shows that the business beyond Vince McMahon's company is alive and well.

Whether it be due to the lack of proper use in the company or if he or she has done everything there is to do in the WWE, here are some of the wrestlers that should leave WWE in 2020.

10 Kona Reeves

This particular entry hurts, because the gimmick of "The Finest" is one of the most interesting gimmicks in not just NXT but all of the WWE. Bianca Belair certainly makes a similar gimmick work with the "EST of NXT." Reeves even has the look, billed at 6'4" and 250 pounds.

However, Reeves is unpolished and does not have nearly the same credentials that many of the wrestlers on the NXT roster have, as Reeves only had about 1 year on the indie circuit, and has only won 1 title in or out of the WWE.

9 Heath Slater

Heath Slater and Daniel Bryan are the only two wrestlers from the original 8 members of The Nexus who still compete in the WWE. However, that is the only thing that Bryan and Slater have in common.

Slater got the most over when he was in a tag team with Rhyno and he had his "I've Got Kids," character during the first months of the second brand split. However, ever since Rhyno left in 2019, it would be great to see his fellow tag partner join him on the indie scene next year.

8 Shelton Benjamin

There was huge hype surrounding the return of Shelton Benjamin when it was announced that he was going to return to the WWE in 2017. However, Benjamin was sidelined immediately after failing a physical exam, which did not bode well for him. When Benjamin did return, he was seen only sporadically as the tag partner of Chad Gable.

Since their team's breakup, Benjamin has been virtually non-existent on RAW. He has shown that he has the chops to succeed on the indie scene, so it might be time for him to leave again.

7 Apollo Crews

Uhaa Nation was one of the best prospects around 2013. With an impressive physique and an even more impressive move set, he seemed to have all of the necessary skills to be successful in a company like WWE.

However, ever since signing with the company in 2014, Crews has never been used to his full potential. Even worse, Crews was used as a bargaining chip in 2017, the only notable thing that he has done in years. If Uhaa Nation returned to the indie scene on a full-time basis, he could make a huge impact in any company he chose to work.

6 Liv Morgan

While Liv Morgan is the one who made this list, this entry could have easily gone to any of the other former members of the Riott Squad. However, with Ruby Riott out with an injury and Sarah Logan married to a Viking Raider, Liv Morgan is the one who most needs to leave WWE.

Unlike Riott and Logan, Morgan does not have indie credentials, as she was signed when she was discovered in a gym. Morgan could benefit a lot from learning a different wrestling style outside WWE's Performance Center.

5 Shane Throne

While they were not the most successful duo in NXT, TM-61, also known as The Mighty Don't Kneel or The Mighty, Shane Thorne and Nick Miller were one of the best tag teams in WWE.

Before coming to the company, Shane Thorne and Nick Miller, known as Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls, were considered one of the best tag teams in the world. Miller left the company in 2018 and has since returned to NJPW as a member of Chaos. Throne and Miller would make a solid addition to the Chaos faction.

4 EC3

While his initial run in WWE as Derrick Bateman was unsuccessful, Bateman reinvented himself as Ethan Carter III, winning the TNA Heavyweight Championship on two occasions.

Since returning to WWE in 2017, EC3 has only succeeded in winning the 24/7 Championship. EC3 has been seen on-screen multiple times where he is obviously not happy about being in the position that he is in. While he was used well in NXT, his stint there was extremely brief, and EC3 would likely be a welcome addition to Ring of Honor, NJPW, or even in a return to Impact.

3 Eric Young

From one former TNA World Champion to another, Eric Young has also seen middling success. Eric Young was a very successful wrestler in Impact, and even saw a little success as the leader of the short-lived NXT faction Sanity. But ever since Sanity disbanded, Young has clearly gotten the short end of the stick.

Alexander Wolfe found his spot in Imperium, Nikki Cross has seen main roster success, and Killian Dain has been heavily pushed in NXT lately. Due to the number of departures from Impact, Young would benefit from leaving WWE and returning next year.

2 Randy Orton

This is probably the most outlandish pick on this list, but Orton himself stoked the flames when he posted a picture showing his potential interest in All Elite Wrestling. Randy Orton became a grand slam champion in 2018, winning the United States Championship from Bobby Roode at Fastlane, so he has done everything that there is to do in WWE.

Orton would do well to follow in the footsteps of Chris Jericho and bring legitimacy in the eyes of casual fans to this new wrestling promotion, where he would likely be in the main event immediately.

1 Aleister Black

Aleister Black is perhaps the saddest case on this list. In NXT, he had a creepy, cult-like gimmick in Black Mass, was heavily protected, and he was NXT Champion. Since Black is married to Andrade's manager Zelina Vega, Black is not likely to leave his wife to go wrestle for another company.

However, Black has clearly not been used effectively since his tag team with Ricochet disbanded in early 2019. Black could return to his original ring name, Tommy End, and return to any of the promotions that he wrestled for before.
