WWE Superstars are currently trying to win over the support of multiple people with power in the company. Vince McMahon is still the most important person that is responsible for deciding which wrestlers get the huge pushes and which struggle to find television time. However, the future of the company is expected to see Triple H and Stephanie McMahon replacing Vince as the ones making the decisions. Wrestlers try their best to please everyone despite the differing of opinions from the big three along with others running WWE. The biggest question about the future of WWE is when exactly Triple H and Stephanie will succeed Vince as running the on-screen product.

Vince is already 73-years-old and still is fully in control of WWE, so the likelihood of him flat out retiring is unlikely. The project of the XFL relaunching will, however, see potential changes. Vince is reportedly expected to contribute more of his time and energy to the XFL at the end of 2019 before the football launches in 2020. It is unknown just how often he will show to run WWE’s television product. Regardless, Triple H and Stephanie will replace at some point where it’s as soon as the XFL timeline or later in the future. There are quite a few wrestlers that will benefit from this. These are20 wrestlers that will get a bigger push from Triple H and Stephanie once taking over for Vince, no matter what he thinks.

20 Bayley

via wwe.com

Vince McMahon has missed the mark with Bayley since her call-up to the main roster. Triple H was the one to book her to perfection to use the character correctly. Bayley was given time to connect with the audience as a slow build to the title picture made her NXT Women’s Championship win a huge moment.

Bayley's main roster run saw her getting a title run right away before Vince gave up on her and had Alexa Bliss squash her. Bayley has been struggling since then to find relevance. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have a lot of love for Bayley. Stephanie even named Bayley as a character she was proud to see in WWE. They would clearly push her better than Vince did.

19 Sami Zayn

via wwe.com

Underdog stories almost never work out well in WWE due to Vince McMahon’s perception of the characters in those roles. Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan are the two most successful instances and their biggest runs took a lot of convincing before McMahon eventually cut them down anyway.

Sami Zayn is another story of an underdog that could have been a great character after his amazing run in NXT. The success of Zayn made him the first breakout NXT star that made people start paying attention to the show. Triple H and Stephanie would certainly love to get that magic he had in NXT back on the main roster without Vince’s meddling.

18 The Revival

via wwe.com

Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder were arguably the best tag team in the world during their peak run in NXT. Triple H took notice of what The Revival were doing to improve and gave them a shot to represent the entire division as the NXT Tag Team Champions.

Many have forgotten their great matches on NXT and their TakeOver shows, given how far they have fallen in WWE. Things are going poorly for The Revival as it’s been quite some time since they’ve had a relevant story and they continue to rack up losses, most recently against the Lucha House Party. The only hope for Dawson and Wilder is Triple H and Stephanie getting full power from Vince soon.

17 Tommaso Ciampa

via wwe.com

The current success of NXT is seeing the brand develop more momentum after another great year. Tommaso Ciampa has been one of the top reasons for that as he’s been NXT Champion for half of the year. The return of Ciampa at the start of 2018 set him on a great path as an NXT main eventer.

Ciampa’s title run will extend into 2019, but the rumors of a call-up could see him on Raw or SmackDown. It is unlikely Ciampa will be Vince McMahon’s cup of tea, due to his lack of size. The booking of Triple H and Stephanie would be needed for Ciampa to reach a great level of success at the next stage rather than regressing.

16 Shinsuke Nakamura

via wrestletalk.com

The signing of Shinsuke Nakamura was one of Triple H’s biggest successes since taking over the hiring department of WWE. Nakamura was among the hottest names in the industry after a tremendous run in New Japan. No one expected him to leave a great spot until Triple H signed him to NXT.

The NXT run presented Nakamura with the same mystique from NJPW as the top star in the promotion. A call-up to the main roster has seen glimpses of success, with a United States Championship run, Royal Rumble win, and a WrestleMania title shot. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon doesn’t know how to book Nakamura. Triple H and Stephanie would rightfully make changes for the better for him once taking over.

15 The IIconics

via gfycat.com

It is easy to forget just how over The IIconics were in NXT. The crowds usually would welcome Peyton Royce and Billie Kay with huge reactions, whether negative or positive. There was even a point where the crowd was invested in Royce potentially winning the NXT Women’s Championship.

The call-up to SmackDown saw the IIiconics get involved in a major way right away when costing Charlotte Flair the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Carmella. Things have gone downhill since then as Royce and Kay are afterthoughts. Given the support they had under Triple H’s NXT booking, the IIconics would get a better push with Vince out of the picture.

14 Ricochet

via wwe.com

Ricochet's incredible athleticism allows him to pull off some of the most outstanding moves you’ll ever find in a wrestling ring. Ricochet was a massive signing for NXT due to his success in places like New Japan, Lucha Underground, PWG, and many more promotions.

The size and lack of microphone skills from Ricochet will be his biggest problems if he gets called up to work for Vince McMahon. Triple H’s booking allows Ricochet to use his strengths to hide his weaknesses. There’s no doubt Ricochet would get a huge push if Triple H and Stephanie were the ones running the show.

13 Johnny Gargano

via wwe.com

The success of Johnny Gargano in NXT made him one of the most important performers in company history. Gargano originally joined as a part-time addition before Triple H was impressed enough to offer him a contract. The rest is history, as Gargano has been a massive part of almost every TakeOver of the past two years.

Gargano will have to win over Vince McMahon due to his smaller size if he does get called up while Vince is still running the show. The trust that Triple H has put into Gargano and has been rewarded with would land him a huge push once Triple H and Stephanie are in charge.

12 Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows

via lordsofpain.net

The signings of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were a huge deal in 2016 when they defected to WWE from New Japan along with AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Styles is a successful main eventer, Nakamura is a successful (if often misused) upper mid-carder, and Gallows and Anderson are struggling to get any television time at all.

Vince McMahon was not impressed with the work of Anderson and Gallows in their first year and the television time started to disappear after that. Triple H’s team hired the popular duo from their time in Bullet Club. This is another instance of a couple of wrestlers that need Triple H and Stephanie to get power to lead to a huge run in WWE.

11 Shayna Baszler

via biggoldbeltgroup.com

The success of Ronda Rousey has won over the support of Vince McMahon for Triple H and Stephanie’s biggest signing. However, McMahon has yet to work with the other members of Rousey’s Four Horsewomen. Shayna Baszler is currently doing well in NXT as NXT Women’s Champion for most of the past year.

The look and wrestling style of Baszler are usually not what Vince wants from his female performers. Triple H and Stephanie, however, believe strongly in Baszler becoming a future star for the company, with or without the association to Rousey. Expect Shayna to have a huge role in WWE’s future, especially if Triple H and Stephanie have power.

10 Samoa Joe

via vulturehound.co.uk

Triple H specifically signed Samoa Joe for NXT knowing Vince McMahon would not have gone for it. Triple H even told Joe that it was unlikely he’d ever make the main roster, given Vince’s stance. However, Joe became such a draw for NXT, with incredible t-shirt sales and interest in his work from fans.

The call-up to the main roster has seen Joe’s work win over Vince enough to put him in major angles against AJ Styles, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Joe, however, does have a ceiling on him with Vince’s booking as he’ll likely never win a world title. That could change once Triple H and Stephanie takes over, given Triple H’s trust in Joe from his NXT title reign.

9 Matt Riddle

via wrestleyard.com

The signing of Matt Riddle was one of the biggest moves by Triple H this year. Riddle had a successful run in UFC before things ended ugly. A few years on the independent circuit earned Riddle the reputation of being among the best wrestlers in the world.

Riddle joined NXT during the summer and is reportedly a huge part of the future. Triple H wants Riddle to have a main event run in NXT before getting called up. The laid-back persona of Riddle would likely see Vince McMahon hate him. Luckily, the support of Triple H and Stephanie could see Riddle become a major star in the future.

8 Andrade "Cien" Almas

via tech2.org

The main roster call-up of Andrade Almas has harmed his momentum in a huge way. Almas started the year as NXT Champion and is ending it as a forgotten person on the SmackDown roster. Reports indicated that Vince McMahon was high on Almas at the start, but the lack of television time in recent months would suggest that has changed.

Almas looked like a future major star in WWE, thanks to his booking from Triple H. Both Stephanie and Triple H will likely play a huge role in pushing him if they did have more control over the product. Almas has the look, talent, and manager to become a bigger star for WWE if Vince wasn’t holding him back.

7 Ember Moon

via wrestlinginc.com

Ember Moon has not had many standout moments on the main roster since getting called up from NXT. Fans are starting to forget Moon was one of the greatest female wrestlers in NXT history. The matches with Asuka alone showed that Ember could perform at a level as high as any other woman in WWE.

Vince McMahon doesn’t seem to have much faith in Moon as a top star. Most of her angles feature lower card work and inconsistent storylines. Triple H and Stephanie certainly try to get the best of their female roster. Ember would be one of the biggest instances of a new push coming if they had the power in WWE instead of Vince.

6 Aleister Black

via wrestlingnewsworld.com

Aleister Black is arguably the most valuable person in NXT when it comes to potential main roster success. The rumors of a call-up for Black have been floating around for over a year now. Black certainly has the presentation to become a top star if booked like how he’s been used in NXT.

Triple H seems to be playing the waiting game for Black’s call-up. The wait is for the right time where he won’t get lost in the shuffle. Vince McMahon likely would be down on Black and not understand the appeal of the gimmick. The ideal scenario for Black would feature him getting called up once Triple H and Stephanie are in charge.

5 Kevin Owens

via wwe.com

The success of Kevin Owens in his first few years made fans believe he’d be a fixture in the main event picture. Owens won the NXT Championship and was called up to the main roster within five months of his NXT debut. The Universal Championship win came relatively quickly as well, but things changed after the reign.

Owens started getting portrayed as a cowardly heel rather than the tough prizefighter. The standing of KO led to him falling lower down the card before his injury. Triple H’s booking and general confidence in Owens would make him a huge player in the main event scene. Vince would likely use him inconsistently with the occasional big match, but Triple H and Stephanie would push Owens harder for sure.

4 Asuka

via wwe.com

The differences in how Triple H and Vince McMahon presents wrestlers can be shown with Asuka. Triple H booked Asuka as an undefeated and unbeatable wrestler that felt special every single match. Vince booked her in a way that makes you forget she ever had that luster.

Asuka has struggled under Vince’s booking since her WrestleMania 34 loss to Charlotte Flair ended the undefeated streak. There is hope for a comeback with her inclusion in the upcoming TLC Match with Charlotte and Becky Lynch. It still seems unlikely Vince will ever use Asuka to her full potential. Triple H and Stephanie must save her before it's too late.

3 Adam Cole

via espn.com

Adam Cole is arguably the wrestler with the most potential currently in NXT. The most impressive thing about Cole is that he has found major success in every promotion he wrestles for. NXT is no different as Cole leading the Undisputed Era made the faction the hottest act on their show.

Cole looked great in the 2018 Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant interacting with some of the biggest names in the industry. His lack of height is his biggest weakness when it comes to Vince McMahon’s booking. Triple H and even Stephanie are reportedly high on Cole, and their role booking WWE could help him immensely when called up.

2 Sasha Banks

via wwe.com

The biggest instance of someone in the Women’s Division potentially being better off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in charge is Sasha Banks. Both Triple H and Stephanie loved the work of Banks in NXT and credited her for a huge role in the Women’s Evolution even taking off for WWE.

Vince McMahon, however, has little interest in pushing Sasha. Her Raw Women’s Championship reigns all ended within one defense as Vince felt Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were more important. Banks is still trying to find momentum on Raw while teaming with Bayley. Triple H and Stephanie getting power may be the only thing that gets Sasha back to the top of the Women’s Division.

1 Finn Balor

via zonawrestling.com

Finn Balor is the top wrestler from NXT that both Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have high hopes for. Unfortunately, he also happens to be one of the roster members that Vince McMahon has zero interest in pushing. McMahon clearly lost faith in Balor after his injury one night into what should have been a massive Universal Championship reign.

Triple H made Finn the face of NXT during its most important growing period and was the one that fought for him to win the Universal Championship a month after the call-up. Stephanie also sees huge potential in Balor and pitched him getting a huge push as a gay character for representation before the idea was shut down. Both Triple H and Stephanie will find ways to push Finn to the moon if Vince’s dislike for him is out of the picture.
