WWE Teases Braun Strowman-Goldberg Match At WrestleMania 35

We’re only a couple of weeks removed from WrestleMania 34, but the WWE is already talking up 2019’s WrestleMania 35 and has teased some dream events in a video on their official website.

Said video, titled 5 things we want to see at WrestleMania 35, suggests a Daniel Bryan title match, Paul Heyman’s Hall of Fame induction, what would be an epic bout between one of the show’s newest talents in Ronda Rousey and women’s division icon Charlotte Flair, and the return of Batista – citing his “unfinished business” in the ring.

But perhaps the biggest tease comes in the form of a potential showdown between Goldberg and Braun Strowman. Of course, they hardly made any promises, but just imagine how huge of a match this would be. It really would have carnage written all over it.

The legendary Goldberg shocked the world just two years ago, making easy work of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar. So mounting a challenge against Strowman would hardly come as a surprise.

“Goldberg’s return in 2016 proved that he hadn’t missed a step,” the video goes. “The WWE Hall of Famer beat Brock Lesnar in less than two minutes, and captured the Universal Championship. And along the way, he teased several dream matches.

“We wanna see him return to a WrestleMania stage for one more match against someone like… Braun Strowman. The ‘Monster Among Men’ is quickly building a Goldberg-like resume of destruction, so imagine what carnage these competitors would create while facing each other.”

The 51-year-old Goldberg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame just this year and his was one of the biggest names in wrestling around two decades ago. He is the only wrestler to have won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the WWE Universal Championship.

Having stepped away from the ring again last year, he did not rule out a return.

Whether this match does happen or not is something we’ll just have to wait out, yet the fact that the WWE themselves are putting it out there makes it all the more possible. If it does happen, though, it could be one that will be relived for ages.
