When Undertaker debuted at Survivor Series 1990, he brought with him the Tombstone Piledriver. The Tombstone is a devastating version of the piledriver, where you lift your opponent in a scoop slam position, and you drop to your knees, which creates a devastating impact when they land on their head.

Nevertheless, The Undertaker's Tombstone is the best and it has won him countless championships. Moreover, only Kane comes close to The Undertaker in executing a picture-perfect Tombstone. The Deadman has used the Tombstone many times so it's easy to forget that some outstanding Tombstones get lost in the shuffle.

10 First Tombstone (Survivor Series 1990)

Undertaker Koko

At Survivor Series 1990, The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase introduced Undertaker as his mystery partner. The Deadman marched down the aisle with Brother Love as his manager in his corner. Fans were in awe of witnessing Undertaker's presence as he was a scary figure, and an unknown quantity.

However, once Undertaker got involved in the fray he was all business. Undertaker wasted no time by removing Koko B. Ware from the equation. In just under two minutes, The Undertaker planted Koko with a devastating Tombstone Piledriver on his head, that looked vicious.

9 Second WWE Championship Reign (WrestleMania 13)

Undertaker v SId

The expected main event of WrestleMania 13 was going to be Bret Hart versus Shawn Michaels for the WWE Title until Michaels lost his smile and vacated the championship. Enter Sycho Sid and The Undertaker who found themselves headlining WrestleMania 13 with Sid's WWE Championship on the line.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst main events in the history of WrestleMania. The match being No Disqualification, Bret Hart kept on getting involved as he just newly turned heel. Nonetheless, this was a significant night in Undertaker's career as it was the first time that he won a WWE Title at WrestleMania with his Tombstone.

8 First High-Profile Meeting With Austin (In Your House 15: A Cold Day In Hell, 1997)

IYH 15

Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin have had many legendary battles over the years, and their first huge meeting came at In Your House 15: A Cold Day in Hell. The Texas Rattlesnake was still building his way up to be a household name in WWE.

The Deadman and Austin's encounter for Undertaker's WWE Championship is often forgotten since they have met on several occasions. However, this Tombstone was brilliant as Undertaker was going for the Tombstone, then Austin was looking to hit Undertaker with his own finishing maneuver. Ultimately, Undertaker expertly reversed it and retained the WWE Championship.

7 Three Tombstones To Keep Kane Down (WrestleMania XIV)

Undertaker v Kane WM 14

After months of build-up, Undertaker and Kane finally locked horns on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania XIV. Undertaker had a grand entrance with the druids, and The Big Red Machine had the dastardly Paul Bearer in his corner.

Nevertheless, this was a magnificent match between the two brothers, which was arguably their best match together. Kane dropped Undertaker with a devastating Tombstone in this contest but The Deadman had to execute three Tombstones to pick up a monumental victory.

6 The Gravest Challenge (Survivor Series 1991)

Survivor Series 1991

Hulk Hogan seemed invincible when he recaptured the WWE Championship from Sgt. Slaughter at WrestleMania VII. No one could wrestle the WWE Title away from The Hulkster until he squared off with The Undertaker at Survivor Series 1991 in a match dubbed as "The Gravest Challenge."

The slow methodical figure of Undertaker dropped Hogan with a Tombstone early on in the match but Hogan no-sold it. However, there was controversy when Undertaker dropped Hogan with a Tombstone on a steel chair placed there by Ric Flair. Undertaker captured his first WWE Title but in typical Hogan fashion, he acted like Undertaker broke his neck, when his head was nowhere near the chair.

5 The Great One Is Tombstoned Onto A Limo (SmackDown 2/7/02)

Undertaker Tombstone Rock

On the February 7, 2002 edition of SmackDown, Undertaker defended the Hardcore Championship against Maven. Undertaker was humiliated by the inaugural Tough Enough Winner when he was eliminated by him in the Royal Rumble match.

Nevertheless, Undertaker was in no mood to hang around, and he dominated this contest as expected. However, The Rock interfered and he executed a Rock Bottom on Undertaker. Maven captured the Hardcore Championship and Undertaker was far from happy. The Deadman got the last laugh as he ambushed The Rock in the parking lot, and Tombstoned him emphatically onto the roof of a limo.

The former world champions had magnificent chemistry together which is why this match was a five-star classic. However, The Heartbreak Kid rarely makes a mistake but it was a costly one when he was going for a moonsault. Undertaker caught him superbly and dropped him with a Tombstone to extend his WrestleMania unbeaten streak to 17-0.

3 A Tombstone In A Subway Station? (Shotgun Saturday Night 2/8/97)

The Undertaker v Triple H Shotgun Saturday Night 1997 Cropped

Undertaker and Triple H have had some epic battles in their own right and they competed for Triple H's Intercontinental Championship on Shotgun Saturday Night. Their titular bout took place inside a New York Subway station which is incredibly unusual.

Nevertheless, neither man held back and they showed a glimpse of what their future matches would look like. Triple H managed to retain the title and tried to escape from Undertaker's clutches, who was in hot pursuit. The Deadman planted Triple H with a devastating Tombstone on the top of an escalator, and he slid down it which was an iconic moment.

2 Shawn Michaels' Back Is Damaged (Royal Rumble 1998)

Undertaker v Michaels Rumble 98

At the 1998 Royal Rumble, Shawn Michaels defended the WWE Championship against Undertaker in a casket match. Unfortunately, Michaels herniated a disc in his back which caused him to miss four years of action after WrestleMania XIV.

The Showstopper deserves a lot of credit for putting on an outstanding match, considering he was in an insurmountable amount of pain. However, Undertaker was closing in on a third WWE Championship reign when he dropped Michaels with a remarkable jumping Tombstone into the casket. That could have been a dangerous spot but Undertaker landed the move safely.

1 HBK's Show Is Stopped (WrestleMania XXVI)

Undertaker v Michaels WM 26

The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels' high-profile match at WrestleMania XXVI had a couple of important caveats. The Phenom's unbeaten WrestleMania streak and Michaels' career were on the line, which made this match even more important than their WrestleMania XXV match.

The two iconic figures tore the house down once more, and they were positioned in the rightful main event spot. Michaels had a refusal to stay down, and he slapped The Undertaker in the face, which prompted The Deadman to get angry and execute a jumping Tombstone on Michaels, which sent HBK into retirement.
