Remember when Ted DiBiase introduced an Impostor Undertaker back in 1994? For a long time, he was the second-most well known Undertaker, but the 2006 manga (and 2008 anime) Black Butler decided to give the Impostor a run for his money by introducing a character also named Undertaker, but this one is a rogue grim reaper as well as a funeral director. Also, the Black Butler Undertaker has the ability to resurrect the dead, which I don’t believe WWE’s Undertaker possesses. The Undertaker’s best feud in recent years has been with Brock Lesnar, who infamously and shockingly ended the Dead Man’s unbroken streak of victories at Wrestlemania XXX, leading to a series of mega-violent marquee matches worthy of a wrestler whose persona involves implying that his opponents were going to die if they fought him.
Pair that with this iconic scene from the movie Step Brothers -- the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar of movies, if we’re being honest -- and you have an incredibly funny mash-up. We know you might be interpreting the word “bury” as the pro wrestling definition, but you shouldn’t.

This is just a generic screengrab of The Undertaker (the hashtag tells you just when it was happening in WWE history), but the text is pretty good, comparing The Undertaker to fictional characters like Santa and The Easter Bunny. This meme pokes fun at the anti-vaxxer movement, which we won’t get too much into here except to say that this specific brand of pitch-black humor is not uncommon if you’re a casual participant in Weird Facebook. The use of The Dead Man in this meme is extra appropriate because, just like “a disease that hasn’t been relevant since the early 20th century,” The Undertaker is super old.
4 An Extremely Specific Scenario
There is no shortage of weird Undertaker expressions being used as reaction memes, probably because Undertaker only fights in big matches now and those epic bouts tend to have at least one zoom-in on Undy’s face in reaction to, like, a kick-out or something.
This meme, about a lost RPG save slot, is hilariously specific and made funnier by the Undertaker’s face, which is simultaneously taken aback and infuriated. You know that nephew is going to get a tombstone piledriver because Undertaker wasn’t finished getting all the endings in Chrono Trigger.

This meme is on a similar level with the meme about the overwritten RPG save, except this situation is more broad and relatable, even though nobody would sit next to a guy who looks like The Undertaker in a dark room. Personally, we think the accompanying image here is much funnier, too -- The Undertaker looks way more disheveled, and his expression is a mixture of annoyance and discomfort. If he turned a few degrees he’d be making Jim Halpert face. Maybe they should have gotten Mean Mark Calloway to play Jack Ryan.
1 The Actual Best Undertaker Meme
At some point over the past few years people began to notice that the Undertaker looks kind of like actor Kelsey Grammer, best known for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier (and also Cheers). If Undertaker memes are a subgenre of meme, then Undertaker as Frasier memes are a sub-sub-genre, and a really good one because they’re so absurd.
