The Undertaker is revered for being one of the best singles competitors in the history of professional wrestling. Although The Deadman has found a hobby in "taking souls and digging holes" in the WWF (now WWE) for decades as a solo star, he has had many tag matches and numerous reigns as tag champion.

Undertaker has had many unique tag team partners on WWE TV including: Ric Flair, Sycho Sid, Kurt Angle, Mankind, Orlando Jordan, The Rock, Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Some team-ups were one night while others were repetitive. Excluding the aforementioned stars, Here are five great tag partners The Undertaker had and five he did not click with.

10 GREAT: Kane

The Brothers of Destruction are one of the most feared tag teams in all of wrestling. Intimidating teams such as The Road Warriors, The Brainbusters, and the APA doomed their opponents with their size and power; Kane and The Undertaker had this but added the appearance of two near seven-foot, three-hundred-plus pound demons from hell.

Kane was first out for Undertaker's blood when he first arrived in the WWF in 1997 but the two found common ground, teaming for the first time on Sunday Night Heat in August 1998. Kane and Undertaker were three-time tag champions and continue to team on occasion.

9 DIDN'T CLICK: Nathan Jones

Undertaker Nathan

Nathan Jones was once one of Australia's most wanted criminals, serving seven years in jail through the '80s and 90's for armed robberies. Following prison, Jones found

power-lifting and eventually professional wrestling. Jones signed with WWE in 2002 after a few independent stints and was immediately put in a team with The Undertaker.

The two were set to team at WrestleMania 19 but Nathan was pulled from the show last minute due to his lack of ability. Despite a broadcasted training segment with Taker and all the promise of the near seven-footer, Nathan's abilities caused an awkward Undertaker WrestleMania (handicap) match and the team to RIP.

8 GREAT: The Big Show

Big Show entered the WWF in February 1999 and was immediately placed in the WWF Championship picture. The WWF's rookie giant would soon after find a partnership with the leader of The Ministry of Darkness: The Undertaker. Although the two first clashed, they eventually settled their differences to form the Unholy Alliance.

Taker and Show would win the WWF World Tag Team Championship twice. Despite a short run as a team, Taker became a professional and personal mentor to Show in this time on and off screen. Big Show values Taker's mentoring, believing it made him a better wrestler and person.

7 DIDN'T CLICK: John Cena

John Cena and The Undertaker is a video game fantasy duo that only partnered twice,  with the first being on a July 2002 SmackDown. The then-rookie Cena and Taker won but Cena was only finding his place at the time and was being used to further Undertaker's face turn.

The two teamed again in a winning effort on a special RAW in November 2009 at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York in a triple threat tag match. As a form of thanks, Undertaker immediately delivered a Tombstone Piledriver to Cena after John scored the win, showing his "appreciation" for his partner.

6 GREAT: Batista

The Phenom and the Animal only teamed in 2007 but on numerous occasions. The powerhouse team of Undertaker and Batista first teamed on SmackDown in February 2007 defeating Edge and Randy Orton, days before teaming at No Way Out 2007, losing to John Cena and Shawn Michaels.

This pairing began through the rivalry of Undertaker challenging Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 23. Although they clashed at times, the two heavyweights were an entertaining team who had a 6-1 record. They never had a tag title shot but would defeat Cena and Michaels on RAW weeks after their loss.

5 DIDN'T CLICK: Shawn Michaels

Undertaker and Shawn Michaels

Madison Square Garden is sacred ground for the McMahons. WWE has had many events and legendary moments at the historic arena for decades; the MSG Show was always a sell-out and would sometimes be televised. Even when it was not, it still sold out and even Vince McMahon attended.

1996's MSG Show in September saw Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker team for the first time to defeat Mankind (Michaels' rival) and Goldust (Undertaker's rival). The throw-together team were a duo once more, winning as rivals, on a RAW in March 2009 as a buildup for their showdown at WrestleMania 25 weeks later.

4 GREAT: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

The Texas Rattlesnake had a heated rivalry with Undertaker for the WWF Championship through 1998 and 1999, but the two occasionally raised hell as a team. Steve Austin and Undertaker first teamed in summer 1997 through un-televised events to battle The Hart Foundation and later D-Generation X.

The two Texans picked up their team the following spring to compete in the first tag team Hell In A Cell match on RAW and would win the WWF Tag Team Championships at Fully Loaded 1998 en route to their WWF Championship clash at SummerSlam 1998. They would later tag at un-televised events in 2000-2001.

3 DIDN'T CLICK: Ahmed Johnson

Ahmed Johnson's first impression in the WWF in 1995 was slamming Yokozuna on RAW and would have a great showing at that year's Survivor Series. Johnson won the Intercontinental Championship in mid-1996 before getting injured. Ahmed began feuding with Farooq and The Nation Of Domination (NOD) upon returning.

Undertaker would team with Johnson to defeat the NOD on RAW in January 1997. Months later in June on RAW, Taker would assist Ahmed again against the NOD but would be betrayed by Johnson who joined the stable. Johnson would challenge Undertaker unsuccessfully for the WWF Championship at In Your House 16 in the night's lowest-rated match for their grand payoff .

2 GREAT: Roman Reigns

WrestleMania 33 was looking to be Undertaker's "last ride" after losing to Roman Reigns. A year later, Undertaker came close to paralysis in a botch-filled win against Goldberg at Super ShowDown 2019 but weeks later was on RAW saving Reigns from an attack by Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre.

The four met in a No Holds Barred tag match at Extreme Rules 2019, where the two were a strong, cohesive unit, defending the other in odd-man situations and showcasing their signature moves to an entertained crowd. It was a well-received one-off tag match for the Big Dog and the Deadman.

1 DIDN'T CLICK: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho and The Undertaker teamed four times post-millennium, with one being un-televised. They were 2-2 as a team but they were only partners to support each other's rivalry (Jericho and Undertaker vs. Jericho's rival and Undertaker's rival).

Their first tag match was a loss to Kurt Angle and Kane on SmackDown in November 2000. A year later on SmackDown in December, the two lost to The Rock and RVD but defeated The Rock and Steve Austin on RAW in February 2002. Undertaker and Chris Jericho heavily contrasted in aspects such as poise, size, style, charisma and personality.
