It appears another WWE Superstar might be leaving the company after a cryptic tweet and a loss on Raw the night before.

After a series of talent releases including Sun Cara, Luke Harper and The Ascension, many fans wondered who might be next. Well, the Superstar in question may have revealed that answer with a tweet hinting he’s leaving the company after waving the flag for years.

Matt Hardy took to social media after losing a match the evening earlier to Drew McIntyre on Raw, the second match Hardy had been squashed since surprisingly returning to WWe a couple of weeks ago. A star that has been petitioning for a character change, it didn’t appear one was coming and as such, Hardy tweeted:

“I needed to return to @WWE to finish in the right way. I didn’t want 2010 to be my finale. I returned in the most EPIC way & repaid my debt. I waved the #WWE flag with pride & worked hard to be a model employee. My conscience is clear & I am at peace.”

That Hardy said he needed to finish with WWE is the key statement here, suggesting he’s now done. It could be that he means his current persona as Hardy is often one to tease twists and turns, but logically, he’s more likely done and will be moving on when his contract is done, if not released before then.

WWE has yet to comment on the rumor or Hardy’s tweet. Therefore, we can’t confirm Hardy is done. We’ll add to this story if such confirmation comes down.

WWE Missed The Boat

Hardy’s job was to ultimately help the new blood get over in WWE, but as one of the most popular and creative minds in the business, it seems odd WWE couldn’t have used him in a producer role or given him one more shot to try something if his own and make it fly before letting him go.

Hopefully this report is premature.
