While WWE's main focus is obviously on the weekly television product and the monthly PPV events, the company puts on hundreds of live events around the world each year that give fans a chance to attend and see the action live and in person.

These shows are crucial for WWE in terms of bringing in revenue, as well as allowing talents to work on new ideas and start to gain some in-ring chemistry with opponents they will be facing on television.

However, attendance for live events has slipped in recent months and that is something that WWE will quickly want to address, so within this list, we will rank 10 changes WWE could make to its house shows.

10 Progress Storylines

Something that WWE live events never do is actually progress the current storylines that are on WWE television, with segments that make sense to what is happening on Raw and SmackDown taking place.

With the popularity of social media, it would be very easy to show the world exactly what has happened, with videos on YouTube or posts on Twitter keeping fans who are not in attendance updated.

Rather than just having random matches on a show, it will be far more interesting for fans if WWE continues its storylines on every single show to keep the stories growing, helping fans feel invested.

9 Legendary Surprises

Whenever a WWE legend shows up as a surprise it instantly becomes a huge memorable moment, with the wrestler often earning a massive pop from the crowd as people talk about it for days.

However, what if WWE did this for a live event? Bringing out someone like Edge or Ric Flair as a surprise would be a huge moment that fans wouldn't be expecting but would certainly be shocked about.

This would give the shows a real buzz and while the legends don't need to get in the ring and compete, simply appearing and cutting a promo would be enough to entertain fans.

8 NXT Pop-Ups

Similarly to how having legends making surprise appearances would be a lot of fun, bringing in NXT talents would be equally great and would certainly improve the quality of the shows.

Not advertising them and bringing in the likes of Matt Riddle or Candice LeRae for a one-off match against current main roster stars would be a win for everyone involved.

Not only does it provide some dream match potential, but it also starts to introduce certain NXT stars to a more casual audience, while also keeping things fresh for the fans in attendance.

7 Major Stipulation Matches

WWE quite often has a street fight or no disqualification match on WWE live events, but those matches are quite easy to put on with just one or two small spots that can be kept fairly safe.

However, if WWE really wanted to spice things up, then throwing out a major stipulation like a steel cage match every now and then would be a great way of doing so, promoting it heavily beforehand in order to sell the show.

There is no reason WWE couldn't do this, as it would just take a little extra set up, but the benefit would certainly be well worth it.

6 Mega Shows

Perhaps this isn't something WWE can do with all of their live events, but having mega programs that feature talents from both Raw and SmackDown could be a good way of improving the shows.

While they currently do shows based upon the rosters that they have, with a strict set of talent appearing on each show, if WWE was to mix it up and have some mega shows there is no doubt they would sell more tickets.

Having one-off matches between talents who don't normally interact would keep things so much fresher, with fans not being subjected to exactly the same matches they see all the time.

5 Bigger Sets

If you have ever been to a WWE live event you will know all too well about the usual set up that the company has for them, with just a very small screen at the top and a tiny ramp to the ring.

The company scales things back in order to save money and time, with WWE not needing to pay for a full set up like they have to do on Raw or SmackDown, but all this does is make the shows feel less important.

Sure, it might cost a little more money, but having bigger and better setups and stages would help make the shows feel like a bigger deal to the fans, helping to make people more interested in attending.

4 Be Less Predictable

When you attend a WWE live event, you want to enjoy yourself; therefore, WWE almost always books every single match to be dominated by babyfaces.

Obviously, WWE has the fan favorites win so the audience goes home happy and the thought process is that it will translate into merchandise sales, which is likely something that works.

However, to make some of the big face victories in the night mean something, it is important to allow some heels to pick up victories. Adding an element of unpredictability will only enhance the experience.

3 Have PPV Quality Matches

When it comes to these events, one of the biggest issues is that the wrestlers don't go all out because they are not being exposed to a major audience.

This does make sense as WWE Superstars are trying to protect their bodies to be as healthy as possible, but on the other hand, WWE fans want to see a high-quality event if they are paying good money for it.

Putting on such a high-quality standard of wrestling that word travels and makes people interested in attending future events would be a brilliant way of improving things.

2 Stream On The Network

While it might be surprising to some, the fact is that a lot of wrestling fans aren't actually aware of all the live events that the company does, with many who are casual fans just thinking that they have the weekly TV shows and that is all.

One way to change that would be having some of the WWE live events stream on the WWE Network, making the shows feel a lot more important and helping to promote them to a wider audience all at the same time.

WWE has done this a couple of times, with The Beast in the East event being a perfect example, but doing this once a month would really make them feel more important.

1 Have Title Changes

You will find that most live events will feature championship matches, with the main event normally being for the title at the very least, however, the problem with those matches is that the outcome is very predictable.

WWE doesn't have titles change hands-on live events, instead, the company chooses to save those moments for television or PPVs, which makes sense as they are the big shows, but they don't help live events.

Obviously, WWE doesn't need to have a title change take place every single week, but a few changes here and then would make fans more likely to go and see live events as they know there is a chance something huge could happen.
