When many fans reminisce of the New World Order (nWo), they think of the good times. Some of these highlights include the time that the original trio was first revealed, the birth of the Wolfpac, and the surveys where the bad guys always won. However, when the group began to grow in size, various individuals split off and formed tag teams.

Some of them went on to have great success and even win a title or two, while others only appeared once or twice before returning to their place in the background with the other members of the group as they had no business teaming up in the first place. Here are the five best and worst team ups formed within the nWo ranks.

10 LAME: Stevie Ray & Horace Hogan

After splitting from Harlem Heat with Booker T, Stevie Ray began hanging with the nWo as an enforcer-like character. He didn't achieve the same singles success as his brother, so he went back to what he knew, and that was tag-team wrestling.

As a member of the nWo B-team, Ray would team up with his colleague Horace Hogan. The two never seemed in-sync, as Horace didn't bring a lot of talent to the ring. Ray would eventually reunite with his brother once the nWo disintegrated.

9 GOOD: Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage

Dennis Rodman, Macho Man, Hollywood Hogan

Comprised of two of the biggest legends in the world of wrestling, The Mega Powers is one of the greatest tag teams to have ever existed. It featured Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage in one team, and their story was told to perfection up until their explosion at WrestleMania V.

When the two arrived in WCW, they reunited to face some mutual enemies before parting ways again. After a feud with the nWo, Savage would end up joining the group, and The Mega Powers would reunite several times to take on some of WCW's finest, leaving the fans cheering for more.

8 LAME: Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff Jay Leno

Hollywood Hogan would team with several members of the nWo, but one of his worst choices was Eric Bischoff. The two would team up to take on DDP and Jay Leno after Hogan and Bischoff hijacked The Tonight Show. The match was rough. DDP and Hogan carried most of the bout but every now and then, Leno and Bischoff would get into a scuffle.

Leno's bandleader, Kevin Eubanks, would be the one to deliver the Diamond Cutter to Bischoff, allowing Leno to score the three-count. Thankfully, Hogan and Bischoff didn't team again.

7 GOOD: Hulk Hogan & Dennis Rodman

Controversial Chicago Bulls star Dennis Rodman became an honorary member of the New World Order and began hanging with the group in and out of arenas around the country. After appearing with the nWo at several shows, Rodman would eventually get the itch to jump in the ring.

He finally got his wish at Bash At The Beach 1998, where he would team with Hogan to face DDP and Karl Malone. The Worm managed to land a few moves in the ring, but what Rodman brought was his ability to antagonize his opponents and the fans.

6 LAME: Scott Hall & The Giant

In 1998, WCW was starting to get out of control. At Slamboree, The Giant and Sting faced The Outsiders for the Tag Team Championships. However, only a couple of weeks before the event, The Giant decided to join nWo Hollywood.

During the contest, Hall turned on Nash, allowing Sting and The Giant to win the titles. The big man would challenge The Stinger for the belts and Scott Hall as his new partner. They would go on to win the titles back but then lose them a month later to Buff Bagwell and Rick Steiner.

5 GOOD: Scott Steiner & Buff Bagwell

Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell were two peas in a pod. They began teaming up when Bagwell returned from injury in a wheelchair to confront Rick Steiner. Big Poppa Pump would appear, and Bagwell would miraculously arise from his chair to attack The Dog-Faced Gremlin.

The duo fed on the animosity from the crowd and loved to be hated by everyone. They actually didn't win any titles together, but were still considered one of the best tag teams on the roster.

4 LAME: Sting & The Giant

The Sting and The Giant's match at Slamboree was not the first time that the two had teamed together, but it wasn't their best outing. WCW had many great tag teams at this time, but for some reason, the powers that be were trying to push this story of feuding nWo groups.

Sting would battle in what seemed more like a handicap bout instead of a tag team championship contest. Once Hall turned on Nash, The Giant would enter the match for the first time and get the pin. He then proceeded to celebrate with The Bad Guy instead of his partner.

3 GOOD: Sting & Kevin Nash

After earning the right to ditch The Giant as his tag team partner at The Great American Bash, Sting chose Kevin Nash as his new partner. While the obvious choice seemed like it would have been fellow Wolfpac member, Lex Luger, Sting chose wisely with Big Sexy.

The two would defend against some of the top teams from both WCW and nWo Hollywood. But their reign would come to an end shortly after when they faced The Giant and Scott Hall on an episode of Nitro.

2 LAME: The Harris Brothers

Creative Control WCW Tag Team Champions

The Harris Brothers were recruited to the doomed New World Order 2000 as members of Jeff Jarrett's enforcement team. While the brothers have faced many tag teams during their tenures in WWE, ECW, and WCW, their worst run as a group was with this iteration of the New World Order.

The duo would win the tag team titles twice while under the black and silver brand, but then they were split up and put into singles matches. Thankfully, WWE purchased the company and their contracts were not picked up.

1 GOOD: The Outsiders

No other team within the nWo can compare to the founders, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The Outsiders were the perfect antagonizers for other WCW teams and utilized each other's strengths to overcome the opposition.

The duo would win six tag team championships under the various nWo banners and defeat some of the best groups in the process, including Harlem Heat, The Faces Of Fear, and The Four Horsemen. If it wasn't for The Outsiders, it's unlikely there would even be a nWo to begin with.
