WWE's women's tag team division has certainly been very stop-start since it was first created. There have been times when the division has been tons of fun and felt very important, but there have also been times when it has clearly been an afterthought.

However, recently WWE has been on a hot run with the division, and with three solid teams built up, now is the time to commit and develop the division. Whether it be by pairing up random wrestlers or utilizing current friendships to create teams, there are plenty of teams that can be used to push for the titles.

10 Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez

The Women's Tag Team Championships can technically be defended on all three brands, but so far, NXT has been left out quite a lot. That's a shame as the black and yellow brand has arguably the strongest and most in-depth tag team division.

Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez could be the perfect team to bring the NXT roster into the division more seriously. With Kai's fantastic striking ability and Raquel's pure power, they would be a great combination to work for the titles.

9 Marina Shafir & Jessamyn Duke

Another team in NXT that could be used is Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke, who are members of the Four Horsewomen group from UFC. They worked together during Shayna Baszler's run and are a legitimate duo who have worked together for a long time.

Bringing them to chase the titles with their MMA history would be very interesting, and WWE could even link them with Shayna again on the main roster to add to her character at the same time.

WWE has brought Natalya and Beth Phoenix together to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Titles before, but it really is something the company should consider doing again. They are both great in the ring and are very believable as a team due to their legitimate friendship.

They have tons of experience which they can then provide to some of the younger wrestlers in WWE. On top of that, fans would simply love to see this team have a run as tag team champions, as it's a story that just writes itself.

7 Lita & Trish Stratus

Speaking of WWE veterans, one team that the company really should make happen is Lita and Trish Stratus. Sure, they might have been amazing rivals, but everyone knows they are best friends in real life, and putting them together for one final run as a team would be amazing.

This would bring a much-needed focus to the women's tag team division, really injecting it with passion and star power. Having them work against some of the younger stars would be a lot of fun, and it's a title chase that fans could really get behind.

6 Bianca Belair & Naomi

These two women have been bitterly underused on the main roster since WrestleMania, and that shouldn't be the case. They're two of the absolute best women's wrestlers around and have tons of charisma and agility.

They have both made it clear in the past they want to face each other and also team up, and there's no reason WWE shouldn't make it happen. It would give them both a real purpose, and it would also add a great team to the tag division.

5 Shayna Baszler & Mercedes Martinez

A lot of fans likely aren't aware of the history these two women have, but Mercedes Martinez had worked as a mentor for Shayna Basler on the independent scene. Since officially signing with WWE, she has lacked a real purpose, and putting her with Baszler could change that.

She's just as aggressive and talented as Shayna, and they could really work well as a team. With WWE not putting the Raw Women's Title on Shayna for some reason, this tag team run could be a great way of developing her.

4 Mickie James & Chelsea Green

This might seem like a very random pairing as they've never interacted together; however, they would make a brilliant tag team. Both of them have worked gimmicks with unstable characters who can go crazy at any moment, and putting them together could be very entertaining.

It would give Mickie James a real purpose upon her return from injury, and it would bring Chelsea Green straight to the forefront while providing a legend for her to learn from.

3 Carmella & Dana Brooke

While this would be quite a random pairing, WWE did put Dana Brooke and Carmella together as a team not too long ago. With neither woman having any real storyline as singles wrestlers right now, why not bring them together as a team?

They're two upcoming talents who have a lot to offer the industry, and having them work together could be a great way of giving them more exposure. Utilizing more of the roster is always a good idea, and this is one way to do that.

2 Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart

Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart are two of the most popular wrestlers in NXT right now, and putting them together as an official tag team could be really interesting. Blackheart has been on a roll lately, and keeping that up would be a great idea, while Nox has always had the star power to be a big deal in WWE.

They would really be ideal for working together as they would certainly get the fans behind them. They have tons of energy, great ring work, and they have been working together lately, so why not fully commit?

1 Toni Storm & Rhea Ripley

They're good friends, and they've also been great enemies, but now would be a great time to bring this Australian duo together as an official team. Toni Storm is more than ready to be heavily featured on NXT and the main roster, and Rhea Ripley already has that exposure.

They're both hard-hitting, physical wrestlers, and seeing them as a team could be really exciting. It would add some major names to the division and is something totally different for both of them to get stuck into.
