WrestleMania has become such a global event in the modern era that it is now impossible for WWE to create a perfect card for the show that will please everyone with the right balance of different elements.

Some fans will simply want comedy matches, others will demand surprise returns, some might want extreme moments and there are those fans who simply want to see a classic, technical wrestling match.

WWE will never please everyone with WrestleMania, but if the company manages to get a vast majority of the WWE Universe excited then they have done something right, at least as far as WrestleMania is concerned.

WrestleMania 35 is a big one for WWE, especially with the return to New York and the fans are already pumped ahead of the event, with many already having bought tickets and hotels which leads to one thing; speculation. WWE programming in recent weeks and months has featured many heel turns, plans changing on the fly and wrestlers undertaking different roles. These could all be to start planting the seeds for WrestleMania, or it could merely be a case of WWE adjusting to unforeseen circumstances.

There are already tons of reported scenarios that might be taking place at WrestleMania this year and some of those have got fans excited, whilst others do not, and we are going to look at those within the article. As always, plans change all the time for WrestleMania, so nothing is set in stone yet. For the fans' sake, we sure hope some of these scenarios unfold, while certain others get scrapped.

20 Can't Wait For- Rey Mysterio Vs. Andrade Cien Almas

via wwe.com

When it comes to a perfect potential match for the United States Championship you don't need to look any further than putting WWE legend, Rey Mysterio against one of the hottest up and coming acts in the company, Andrade Cien Almas.

This is a match that fans are desperate to see take place with the fast-paced action that they are both capable of being a potential show stealer and it makes perfect sense for WWE to have them compete for a title to add some more prestige. There's a reason Mysterio was brought back to WWE; to help elevate some younger stars and Almas is a great opponent for him.

19 No One Wants - Multiple Battle Royals

via pinterest.com

WWE attempts to put everyone on the card at WrestleMania every single year and simply runs out of ideas to feature everyone and therefore often resorts to battle royals on the pre-shows.

It isn't a new concept and you can guarantee there will be at least one come WrestleMania 35, but is there really need for WWE to have two take place within the first hour of the show as they did with 'Mania 34.

WWE attempted to have the men and women be equal, but both matches are utterly pointless with nothing but a trophy, with nothing meaningful on the line. At least have a future title shot like at Evolution to spice things up a little.

18 Can't Wait For - Samoa Joe To Wrestle

via wwe.com

This is a simple one and it doesn't really matter in what scenario it actually happens in but getting to see a wrestling veteran like Samoa Joe finally make his WrestleMania debut will be an awesome moment, especially for those who have followed him since his early days.

Hopefully, Joe gets a good spot on the card as his talent is certainly worthy of that, but even if he doesn't, him getting to have a WrestleMania moment is something he really does deserve and it should happen at WrestleMania 35.

Joe has been on the main roster for the past two WrestleMania's, with 'Mania 33 coming a little too soon into his main roster debut for WWE to feature him and an injury ruling him out of 34, this should finally be the time he gets to arrive on the biggest stage possible.

17 No One Wants - More Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon world cup champion wwe

We get it already, Shane McMahon is a popular talent and of course, is a McMahon, but that doesn't mean that we need to see him every single year competing on the show in such major matches that takes up a spot of a younger talent.

That's where the real problem lies. While seeing Shane is cool and he always gives 110% in the ring, him competing despite the fact he isn't actually a full-time wrestler simply means that someone who is on the road 24/7 doesn't get that opportunity.

It's time for WWE to take some risks and gamble on the actual talent that is part of the company every single day rather than throwing Shane out to put his body on the line with spots that he doesn't need to be doing at his age.

16 Can't Wait For - Dean Ambrose vs Elias

via YouTube.com

Heading into WrestleMania 35, two of the most featured talents should, without a doubt, be Dean Ambrose and Elias. If WWE can get its booking together on the road to the show, then a possible match between them could be for the Intercontinental Championship.

Elias is one of the most popular wrestlers in the entire company and positioning him as a babyface was a great move by WWE and alongside a fully fledge heel Dean Ambrose the two men could create a really engaging storyline.

Elias deserves to be featured heavily at this WrestleMania in an actual match rather than just giving him a concert spot and this is a perfect way to make that happen in what could be an excellent match in what is a fresh feud.

15 No One Wants - 205 Live Relegated To The Pre-Show

via wwe.com

It seems almost a given this far away from WrestleMania that no matter what the card is, you can pencil in a Cruiserweight Championship match for the pre-show of WrestleMania 35, despite the amount of talent on the brand.

205 Live has provided some of the best wrestling matches of the year and has an amazing roster, yet WWE still doesn't seem interested in giving them a chance to shine on the bigger stage.

For the last two years, the title has been defended on the pre-show and given how big the main roster is, it's unlikely that trend will change this time around, which is a shame as the likes of Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy deserve a major moment.

14 Can't Wait For- Women's Tag Team Titles

via wrestlinginc.com

The Tag Team Championship for the women's division has been speculated about for what feels like an eternity now, but once again the reports are rampant ahead of WrestleMania 35 and this could finally be the time it takes place.

WrestleMania feels like the perfect location to debut such a groundbreaking moment, just as the company did when it brought out the Women's Championship instead of the Divas title at WrestleMania 32.

It is unknown how the company will handle the situation, whether there is a tournament to build up or if it is simply announced randomly on the night, but the WWE Universe is certainly ready to see them come to life.

13 No One Wants - Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley

via bodyslam.com

With Brock Lesnar already looking towards his return to UFC, WrestleMania 35 is very likely to be his last wrestling match for quite some time, if not ever, and therefore it could be the final chance for WWE to pull off this dream match.

While fans have always wanted to see The Beast go head to head with Lashley, at this stage in their careers it doesn't feel like the right match to put on at WrestleMania as Lashley hasn't managed to get back to that main event level since returning to the company.

This is something WWE should have already squeezed in if they wanted to do it and at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar is going to be better used somewhere else with Lashley not being the fans top choice of an opponent.

12 Can't Wait For - The Rock's Return

via wwe.com

It seems like all year, there have been reports that The Rock indeed wants to return to the ring and he may have enough time cleared on his hectic schedule to work a program for WrestleMania 35. We haven't seen him in a match since a seven second squash over Erick Rowan nearly three years ago, but really, his last legitimate match was WrestleMania XXIX against John Cena.

Plans have been derailed, as Roman Reigns was pencilled in as The Rock's opponent and obviously The Rock would only come back for the right match. That being said, seeing The Rock at WrestleMania in some capacity (as long as it's not a pointless 20 minute promo) should add something to the show.

11 No One Wants - Drew McIntyre vs Dolph Ziggler

via 96rock.com

It just really feels like this is a possibility doesn't it? It's very rare that WWE has wrestlers team up, especially those who aren't traditionally tag team specialists, and not have them feud when they eventually go separate ways.

It's obvious WWE sees big things in Drew's future and therefore at some point the company is going to pull the two men apart and that is likely going to start after McIntyre gives Dolph a beatdown; leading to a match.

The question is whether WWE will pull the trigger quick enough to not have this at WrestleMania as it just feels like there are better ways to utilize McIntyre at his first WrestleMania since returning to the company.

10 Can't Wait For - Shawn Michaels Wrestles Again

via wwe.com

The WWE Hall Of Famer might have claimed on the E&C Pod Of Awesomeness that he isn't going to wrestle again after his Crown Jewel appearance but all the reports are pointing towards Shawn Michaels having at least one more match.

Michaels is set for a major payday at WrestleMania and the chance to create one more major dream match against a current member of the roster, ideally, AJ Styles, in what would be a huge WrestleMania moment. After all, Styles no longer has the title, and with him being in his 40s, Styles should have every possible dream match possible.

HBK is known as Mr. WrestleMania for a reason and if he was to compete again then it would certainly be a something very special that would have the WWE Universe more than just excited about watching it.

9 No One Wants - JBL In The HOF

via wwe.com

One of the standout moments of WrestleMania weekend is always the WWE Hall Of Fame evening where the wrestling world gets to unite and pay tribute to some of the sports greatest, reliving some incredible moments.

While this night is typically one where fans get to show their respect to people who have changed the industry and paved the way for the talent of today, but one name some people don't want to see receive the honor is JBL.

His backstage tactics are something that has become well known to fans who haven't appreciated the stories and therefore might be acceptable to him getting the entry, but it is highly possible, especially because he is close to Vince McMahon.

8 Can't Wait For - Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz

via wwe.com

It has been speculated that Daniel Bryan and The Miz were set to meet once again at WrestleMania for some time now, although most people expected it would be Miz walking in as a heel champion with the ultimate babyface in Bryan chasing.

However, with Bryan's recent title victory and heel turn, it seems WWE is looking to make a major change to this long-standing feud by reversing the roles we have come to know and love them both for.

Setting up Bryan as the heel and Miz in the babyface role will freshen things up and create some fantastic TV heading into WrestleMania for a match that fans are dying to see on the biggest stage possible.

7 No One Wants - Several Rushed Multi-Man Matches

via twitter.com

It seems that every year WWE tries far too hard to get everyone a spot on the WrestleMania card and whilst the sentiment is all well and good, the fact is that in recent years it has damaged the card.

WWE has forced random multi-man matches together with fatal four-ways or triple threats becoming far too common, a situation which was obvious at WrestleMania 34 with the United States Championship match.

It is better if WWE restricts the card to not have these, with only one at best, accepting the fact that not everyone can be part of the PPV which will, in the long run, improve the quality of the show in general.

6 Can't Wait For - Drew McIntyre vs. Braun Strowman

via wwe.com

While it is very possible that both of these men could find themselves in a Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35, with this potentially being that very match, putting the two of them against each other seems like a perfect match for the 'Mania spotlight.

This would be the first major singles match of both men's careers on the Grandest Stage Of Them All and there is no doubt that they would both tear the house down with their physical approaches.

It certainly wouldn't be a pretty, technical spectacle, but it is crucial to fill the 'Mania card with lots of different matches and a physical brawl between two of WWE's best big men would be a wise move to break things up whilst giving them a featured spot on the card.

5 No One Wants - Nia Jax vs. Becky Lynch

via wwe.com

There is a big fear amongst many fans that WWE won't pull the trigger on the match that the fans really want to see and will instead give the WWE Universe Becky Lynch vs Nia Jax at WrestleMania in order for Lynch to get her revenge.

While it makes sense that the Irish Lasskicker would have a match with Jax after she legitimately broke her face, there is no reason to drag that out all the way until WrestleMania for a match that will be average at best.

Jax is likely to have a big role on the show as WWE is very high on her, but Lynch deserves to be in a better role and potentially the main event of the show which this match simply would not be.

4 Can't Wait For - Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

via youtube.com

There have been plenty of reports in regards to who will face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania this year, but the latest report slating Seth Rollins in the role has really got the WWE Universe talking.

The Kingslayer is arguably enjoying the best year of his WWE career to date and his previous bouts against Brock Lesnar have all been fantastic and the thought of seeing him back in the hunt for the Universal Title is something everyone wants to see.

Lesnar and Rollins would be a great change of pace for The Beast, who has tended to have big powerhouse matches since returning. Given that Seth certainly deserves the spot and would have the fans behind him, this could be a perfect situation for the title match.

3 No One Wants - The New Day vs. The Bar vs. The Usos

via wwe.com

Despite the fact WWE has an incredible tag team roster, especially on SmackDown Live, the company seems to only focus and feature certain teams with different variations of the same matches always happening.

Because of that, a possible triple threat match between The Bar, The Usos, and The New Day certainly seems likely for WrestleMania 35 but the problem is that the fans are sick of seeing those teams compete.

While they are all talented, the matches have been done ad nauseam on a weekly basis and WWE fans have given up on wanting to see it and hopefully, the company will notice that and give something fresh for the biggest show of the year.

2 Can't Wait For - Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey

via wwe.com

The feud between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch has captured the attention of all wrestling fans and the two women haven't even had a match yet, which means when they do meet in the ring it is going to be an incredible moment.

Everyone expected that WrestleMania 35 would have a female main event, but rather than forcing one to happen the company has had an organic main event created for itself by Lynch and Rousey that fans are desperate to see.

The Irish Lass Kicker's new character has become incredibly popular and in a strange turn of events, her injury is actually going to end up helping her as fans are now even more excited about the match, making for a perfect WrestleMania main event.

1 No One Wants - Another Pointless Undertaker Match

via wwe.com

It might hurt people to admit it but the excitement and lure surrounding The Undertaker and WrestleMania just doesn't exist anymore. While people still care about The Deadman, he is no longer the major selling point of the show.

WWE has extinguished that itself by having too many pointless Undertaker matches at the show which was never more clear than his recent bout with John Cena, which lasted less than three minutes despite weeks of build up.

Even though the match lasted three minutes, with the build on RAW and during 'Mania itself the storyline took up way too much time and that is something WWE can't afford to do again. Either tell the retirement story or move on.
