Triple H has been one of the most important figures in the WWE for nearly two decades, but his role has increased even more in recent years as he has transitioned from a full-time wrestler to management. And with Triple H expected to lead the company after Vince McMahon, his involvement has increased as he has been handling some important tasks. And seeing how his role continues to increase with every passing year, it is clear that McMahon is delighted with the work of his son-in-law thus far.

His contributions have been very important thus far, serving as the recruiter for many top talents outside of the WWE. Triple H has also become the second boss backstage, handling some tasks that involve personnel's relationship with management. He has also served as the booker of NXT, which produced some of the top talents on the roster today. As such, McMahon awarded with him booking 205 Live as well.

These days, Triple H tends to get along more with his peers than he did in his prime years. It is likely related to the fact that he is no longer a full-time Superstar, which means that he has no reason to play backstage politics anymore - at least compared to his days as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. And while Triple H gets along with plenty of Superstars, that isn't always the case as we look at 8 wrestlers on the roster that Triple H is upset with and 8 he just doesn't care about.

16 Upset With: Baron Corbin

via wwe.com

Despite coming from NXT, Baron Corbin is one of the few stars to not fully receive the support of Triple H. While the NXT boss can be seen hanging around many former NXT graduates, while also praising them on social media, you won't find such relationship between Triple H and Corbin. The reasons are unknown but it seems like Corbin has always been a Vince McMahon guy, as he previously was pushed as per his request. But during some time in 2017, there was plenty of heat on Corbin among top WWE officials, including McMahon and Triple H.

During a talents meeting, Corbin expressed his thoughts on one of the subjects, which led to him being in hot waters for some time.

But it seems like he has been given another chance to establish himself in the WWE. Despite having been provided with multiple opportunities, Corbin has yet to reward the WWE's efforts with his push. His work has mostly fallen flat within the past year. And if Triple H's role in the company continues to increase, then Corbin may be among those who don't benefit from his rise to the top - as Triple H prefers plenty of current Superstars over him.

15 Doesn't Care About: Titus O'Neil

via wwe.com

Titus O'Neil has been a WWE talent for nearly a decade now with his main roster debut coming in 2012. Despite having been around for a number of years, Titus has yet to cross paths with Triple H. There were backstage reports indicating that Vince McMahon was high on Titus, believing that he could move up the ladder in the future. But various incidents have truly derailed Titus' career, including the time he had playfully pushed Vince on screen during Daniel Bryan's retirement show. At the time, some believed that McMahon wanted to fire Titus from the company although he would end up suspending him for 60 days.

If Titus had been one of Triple H's preferred Superstars, then it's very likely that he would gotten involved to save him from the harsh punishment. But history suggests that Triple H may not necessarily care about Titus's presence on the roster, which would make sense since it was McMahon who insisted on giving him a push in the past. In recent months, it appears that Titus has finally found a consistent role on the roster - and while it may not be a major one - at least he is featured every single week.

14 Upset With: Shane McMahon

via wwe.com

As much as they have tried to keep it behind the scenes, there has been tension between Triple H and Shane McMahon over the years. For a while, fans assumed that Shane would be next in line following the reign of his father Vince, but once he departed from the company, a new heir rose to the top. Since then, Triple H has earned Vince's trust through his work in NXT as well as a recruiter for independent talents. Meanwhile, Shane had taken a break from the WWE by getting involved in a personal venture although he would return after a few years.

It was reported that Shane was expecting a bigger role, preferably within the creative team, but Triple H wasn't so keen on giving him more than an on-screen role.

As it turned out, Shane would serve as a part-time Superstar on SmackDown. With Vince around, he has been able to keep the tension to a minimum and Shane is often alongside Vince in the back observing the show with the boss. That being said, it may be an entirely different story when he is no longer around. With both men supposedly wanting to take over, it may lead to a rift within the family.

13 Doesn't Care About: Jinder Mahal

via wwe.com

History indicates that every single person in charge tends to have favorites, especially in the wrestling industry. For Triple H, it is mostly talents he brought through NXT and recruited from all over the world. Most of his favorites have come in the past few years, as he has been playing an instrumental role in their careers and their rises to the top within the WWE. Jinder Mahal is one of the Superstars who came right before NXT was fully established in the WWE, so he didn't have a relationship with Triple H for years.

Last year, it was confirmed that Vince McMahon was the mastermind behind Jinder's main event push and title reign with Triple H supposedly opposing his idea. And while Triple H may not have any sour feelings towards Jinder, it seems like he simply doesn't view him as highly as McMahon does. If Triple H takes over the WWE in the next few years, Jinder's role would probably decrease significantly in the company. He is most likely guaranteed to receive some more opportunities as evident by his recent victory in a Fatal Four Way match at WrestleMania 34, thanks to the high faith McMahon seems to have in him.

12 Upset With: Brock Lesnar

via twitter.com

Triple H and Brock Lesnar have never been on the greatest of terms, even in their younger days. At a time when Lesnar was being introduced to the WWE Universe by wreaking havoc in the ring, Triple H was arguably on top of the industry with his influence growing by the year. To push him to the top of the mountain, Vince McMahon and the creative team decided to have Lesnar defeat nearly every single Superstar on the roster, including some iconic figures such as Hulk Hogan and The Rock. But Triple H had no interest in working with Lesnar, let alone losing in a match against him.

He still shared the same feelings in 2005 as he rejected the idea of losing his title to Lesnar at WrestleMania 21. But a lot has changed since then, most notably with Lesnar's star growing outside of the WWE while Triple H became apart of management, and that is why they finally put their differences aside to work a program. But as always, Triple H was simply doing what's best for business rather than going with his personal preference. If it were up to him, then Lesnar would surely not be featured in as big of a role.

11 Doesn't Care About: Zack Ryder

via wwe.com

A few years ago, Zack Ryder pulled the impossible by getting over on his own without even having to make appearances on WWE television. He was being misused at the time with his character having no direction, but the success of Ryder's YouTube page led to a surge in popularity as fans began to fully support him. But despite having the WWE Universe chant his catchphrase and buying his merchandise, it appeared that the company had a problem with Ryder getting over on his own. It is well-known that Vince McMahon prefers to personally pick whom the fans should cheer for, and that probably played a huge factor in Ryder not receiving a proper push.

According to former WWE Superstar JTG, Triple H was also not a fan of Ryder - meaning that his destiny was sealed from the start.

If both McMahon and Triple H agree to not push you, then it's highly unlikely that you will be able to climb up the ladder. While Ryder remains employed in the WWE, he probably saw himself reaching greater heights within the company, although he is likely very happy to continue cashing in easy paychecks for barely working throughout the year.

10 Upset With: Paige

via wwe.com

Triple H has been a huge supporter of the women's revolution in the company with NXT playing a major role in bringing up many of the current top talents on the main roster. And despite appearing to be close with so many of the women talents, Triple H hasn't had that same relationship with Paige. Not only do you never hear him speak highly of Paige, but there are no photos of them together either - while you can find Triple H working closely with practically every other woman on the roster. That may be related to the previous tension with Alberto Del Rio, who had been launching attacks on the WWE and Triple H.

But once he broke up with Paige, Del Rio blamed her for leading him to talk trash about Triple H. And given what was previously stated, it's not exactly hard to believe that Triple H is still upset with Paige. Last year's scandal certainly didn't make matters any better, but since McMahon appears to be fond of her while also being involved in a major WWE film project then Paige has managed to stick around in the company. Otherwise, she may have been working elsewhere.

9 Doesn't Care About: Big E

via wwe.com

There was a time when Vince McMahon supposedly wanted to give Big E the push that Roman Reigns would end up receiving. That may be hard to believe for some fans, but it has been reported by various wrestling sites. And once again, rumors are now claiming that Big E could be on the receiving end of a huge singles push with McMahon leading the way backstage as one of his main supporters.

As for Triple H, he doesn't seem to get along with many of the talents who came prior to his involvement in NXT, which would explain his non-existing relationship with Big E.

The latter tends to have plenty of backstage friends as evident by the Superstars' interactions on Twitter, but unfortunately for him, Triple H isn't one of them. And if the rumors about McMahon being a fan of Big E are indeed true, that means that Triple H may have played a role in convincing him otherwise. For someone who has been as valuable as Big E has been over the past few years, one would expect him to have the support of Triple H - but based on what we know, that isn't the reality.

8 Upset With: Rusev

via wwe.com

For the past years, it's been rumored that Vince McMahon and Triple H have had some arguments regarding Rusev with the former wanting him to play a typical foreign heel, while the latter always saw more potential in him. As it turned out, Triple H may have been right after all with Rusev Day becoming one of the most popular trends in the WWE. And while Rusev may have proven Triple H to be right, that doesn't mean that their relationship is great at the moment.

As he always reminds us, Triple H is always willing to do what's best for business, meaning that any sour feelings he may have towards Rusev likely won't affect his push. But rumors suggest that Rusev's attitude hasn't been well-received backstage by management, including McMahon and Triple H. There was a time when some fans thought that he could leave the WWE, but that is looking unlikely now that the company may be planning to push him. We'll see if his inclusion in the Money In The Bank match next month leads to anything. It's better late than never as it is certainly time for the company to cash in on Rusev's momentum, so hopefully the company has learned from past mistakes such as the aforementioned Zack Ryder.

7 Doesn't Care About: R-Truth

via wwe.com

Some find it a mystery that R-Truth remains with the WWE given that he hasn't been featured in a consistent role in years. Others believe that he could still contribute to the product due to his charismatic persona, as well as a gimmick that has proven to be over with the fans. But what may surprise you about R-Truth is that he has apparently developed a friendship with Vince McMahon, who loves having his presence in the locker room. R-Truth is one of the many veterans, along with his former tag team partner Goldust, who may not appear on television on weekly basis, and yet they still play a vital role behind the scenes.

At 46 years old, we suspect that his wrestling days may be up soon although he is almost guaranteed to move to a staff role once he retires from the squared circle. R-Truth should probably be grateful that he has gotten on McMahon's good side - a rare feat that has probably made other Superstars envy him - especially since his relationship with Triple H isn't exactly great. There is no beef between the two Superstars, it just appears that Triple H doesn't care for R-Truth at all.

6 Upset With: Lana

via divadirt.com

In her WWE stint, Lana has been a troublemaker to say the least. She has had numerous beefs over the years, mostly with fellow women, although none have gotten bad enough for management to take action. But it seems like she hasn't exactly gained a fan in Stephanie McMahon, who was unhappy with Lana's inability to get along with so many Superstars. Rumors have circulated on different occasions about Lana having heat with management due to her behavior, as well as the minor in-ring improvements that she has shown.

Given her charisma and relationship to Rusev, as well as her role on Total Divas, Lana's job is likely safe for now.

But that doesn't mean that it will always be since she has previously angered a number of top figures, including Triple H. It has also been suggested that he isn't necessarily a fan of Lana due to her limited in-ring ability, prioritizing fellow women on the roster who can put on some barn burner matches. But Lana did have a fan in Vince McMahon for the longest time - at least until she got on his nerves by ruining the infamous Dolph Ziggler love angle a few years ago.

5 Doesn't Care About: Mickie James

via wwe.com

When Mickie James returned to the WWE to face Asuka at NXT, rumors claimed that she was only a second option in the company's plan if they failed to get their main target; which was supposedly Trish Stratus. And while Triple H doesn't have a reason to hate James, it seems like she is another Superstar whom he couldn't care less about. But as we know, Vince McMahon greatly values having a veteran presence in the WWE - which is the very reason as to why James was brought back to the main roster. There were never plans for her to embark on a streak as her role is mostly limited to making younger Superstars look good in the ring.

With Triple H's involvement in NXT, it is very possible that he would much rather see one of the younger women taking James' spot. That's not to mention that her first run with the company ended in a bitter departure following the breakout of the John Cena scandal, which reportedly put her in the hot seat among top WWE officials. With an influx of women joining the main roster - most of whom have been groomed by Triple H - James' second stint may be coming to an end in the near future.

4 Upset With: Dolph Ziggler

via wwe.com

The rise and fall of Dolph Ziggler is a mystery that has yet to be solved. For some time, it looked as if he were on his way to become a main eventer for years to come but his momentum was severely slowed down by the WWE creative team. And while Vince McMahon may not have been his biggest fan, he did keep an open mind to giving him a push - but it was Triple H who reportedly didn't get along with Ziggler. There were rumors about Triple H supposedly sabotaging Ziggler's main event push, which is believable based on what transpired with The Authority.

By now, Ziggler has probably given up on getting back to the top of the mountain, but his rumored salary will surely keep him around for as long as the WWE wants.

Now alongside McIntyre, it seems the angle will eventually lead to McIntyre getting the bigger push of the two. In the past, Ziggler's outspoken persona landed him in trouble with management, including some tweets that generated plenty of heat among members of the creative team. But now that he is a veteran, it appears that Ziggler is fine with his role as long as the hefty paychecks are being deposited into his account.

3 Doesn't Care About: Big Cass

via wwe.com

It's no secret that Vince McMahon has an ideal look for his Superstars. Granted not all wrestlers are hired by those standards, and he does seem to have become more open minded in recent years, but McMahon still gives preference to Superstars who happen to be tall, built and good looking. And that's exactly why he has been one of his biggest advocates, believing that Cass could become a major player in the company. For that very reason, McMahon split up the team of Enzo and Big Cass although an injury would put the latter out of action for some time.

But now that he has returned to television, Cass seems destined for a singles push given his recent rivalry with Daniel Bryan. As for Triple H, it doesn't appear that he is nearly as high on Big Cass as his father-in-law happens to be.

While Cass is an NXT product, he doesn't have a close relationship with Triple H as so many former NXT stars do.

But that doesn't mean that Triple H wouldn't have a role for him on the roster, it just indicates that he disagrees with McMahon regarding his position on the card. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, a recent incident supposedly landed Cass in hot water, when he went against top officials' orders and laid in an extra few shots on a 'little Daniel Bryan' in a recent angle to build heat for their Backlash match.

2 Upset With: Neville

Considering that it's been 8 months since we last saw Neville on WWE television, some would assume that he has been released from the company by now. But his status remains unchanged as the WWE refuses to grant him a release while Neville isn't willing to return. There was a time when Neville had a huge supporter in Triple H, but times have changed. In the past few months, there were rumors about Triple H attempting to bring him back to the WWE, but Neville continued to shut him down. As of now, the company seems to have given up on resolving the differences between them.

Given that Triple H has fully supported Neville and even argued for him to be pushed, there is no doubt that he is currently upset with him. Not only does he made him look bad in front of Vince McMahon, but Neville is also seen as a negative influence for the rest of the locker room. And that is exactly why the company refused to meet his demands since they didn't want anybody else to follow his footsteps in the future. But at the same time, management cannot be thrilled about paying him to be at home.

1 Doesn't Care About: Jason Jordan

via sbnation.com

Vince McMahon may be one of Triple H's biggest fans, having complete faith in him to take over the reigns but that doesn't indicate that they always get along. There have been numerous occasions where the two figures have clashed over their opposing opinions when it comes to some Superstars. Among them is Jason Jordan who went from being a tag team competitor to being on the receiving end of a major push. Given Triple H's lack of involvement with Jordan, as well as rumors around the web, then it's safe to say that it was McMahon who put him in that position.

And while it's too early to see if Jordan turns out to be a worthy investment, he may have to connect with the fans as soon as possible. Prior to his injury, he wasn't well received by the WWE Universe - although he did improve over the weeks. Once Triple H takes over the company, Jordan may not be getting such opportunities as he has failed to impress him thus far. And if history has taught us anything, it's that he may already be on a short leash given how his solo push has gone so far.
