Being able to work for WWE is a dream for many wrestlers from the moment they lace up their first pair of boots, but for some former WWE stars, that dream turned into a nightmare when they got on the wrong side of either the COO or his wife. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are the biggest power couple in WWE and even though there are wrestlers like John Cena, Randy Orton and perhaps Roman Reigns who are now untouchable, there are others who the couple has been at odds with at some point in their wrestling career.

More often than not these superstars are released from the company not long after the issue is brought to light, since being at odds with the bosses daughter or her husband means that this superstar will be punished both on-screen and off.

The following list looks at just 12 former WWE superstars that both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H would forbid their father from bringing back to WWE. It has become common knowledge that many of the stars on this list have a history with the officials backstage in WWE which means that Stephanie and her husband would definitely have an issue with them returning to the company in the future.

24 Triple H: Carlito

via youtube.com

Carlito's brother and cousin are currently part of WWE as Primo and Epico Colon, but the team has been missing something ever since Carlito was released from the company back in 2010. It was well documented that the reason why he was released was because he was having issues with addiction and refused to go into rehab, but he was still able to return to induct his father into the Hall of Fame back in 2014.

Primo and Epico have been dropping hints over the past few weeks that Carlito could be returning, but Triple H might have a different spin on that idea. Ever since his release, much like many other former stars, Carlito has been very outspoken about the company and the fact that Triple H was only given the opportunities that he had because he's the son-in-law of Vince McMahon. It's something that almost every other wrestler and member of the WWE Universe has been thinking, but Carlito was the one who decided to put it into words and it has gained him a lot of heat because of it. The former United States Champion has been successful on The Independent Circuit over the past few years, but this could be the level that he remains on in future since he can't keep his opinions to himself.

23 Stephanie: Zahra Schreiber

via tumblr.com

Stephanie McMahon is responsible for all of the women in WWE, and even though Zahra never made it to the main roster so Steph wasn't given the headache of fitting her into the Raw Women's Division, it's obvious that she remembers who she is. Zahra was the woman behind the scandal that almost cost Seth Rollins the World Championship back in 2015 and was then released from the company a few months later when offensive images were found on her Social Media.

Schreiber has been out of the WWE spotlight over the past few years while she's been working as a merch girl for Chris Jericho's band Fozzy.

She does this while they're on the road, but recently resurfaced as the new girlfriend of Sonya Deville. Schreiber was spotted at the WWE Hall of Famer induction ceremony earlier this year and it's thought that Deville was moved over to SmackDown to prevent Schreiber and Rollins from crossing paths once again. Despite the fact that Zahra has been welcomed back into the WWE fold as a plus one in recent months, it's obvious that the conversation has already been had backstage amongst WWE officials about how she will never be welcomed back into the company as a superstar.

22 Triple H: Mr. Kennedy

via youtube.com

Backstage heat is something that ever superstar wants to avoid but also something that Triple H would want to stay on top of since this can create problems for him as well. Mr. Kennedy is definitely a star who is no stranger to backstage heat, given the fact that he was fired because he had a problem with Randy Orton and he's reported to have an issue with John Cena as well.

John Cena and Randy Orton are two of WWE's biggest stars and it's obvious that the company would never want to put either of them in an awkward position, so it's irrelevant hos successful Kennedy is in Impact Wrestling or on the Independent Circuit since he will never be welcome in WWE. Kennedy has taken it upon himself to badmouth WWE publically a number of times as well which would definitely have not helped his cause. Add this to the fact that Kennedy has wellness policy violations on his record as well, and it's easy to see why he would be blacklisted. Triple H wants his job to flow as easily as possible and that won't happen if his superstars have problems with each other, so just for a much easier life, it's likely that Mr. Kennedy is on the list of superstars who will never darken the door of WWE again.

21 Stephanie: Cody Rhodes

via youtube.com

Cody Rhodes was once one of the stars with the brightest futures in WWE, but the youngest son of WWE Hall of Famer decided that he was tired of waiting for WWE to see his potential and made his way to the main roster where he has been very successful. WWE would definitely open to bringing Cody back to the company in the future, but Cody would never want to be tied down by WWE again.

Cody blames WWE for the fact that his father was put into polka dots and became a laughing stock as well as the fact that his brother is seen in a gold jumpsuit and is another joke in WWE. Rhodes doesn't want to be another person in his family that changed for WWE. Rhodes also reportedly has an issue with Stephanie McMahon which leads back in 2013 when The Raw Commissioner stated that Dusty went off-script in a segment with the bosses daughter and it led to him then receiving a lot of backstage heat, which he didn't deserve. Stephanie may hold a grudge, but not as much as Rhodes, who is seemingly pushing himself on the Independent Circuit to prove that he's better than WWE. He's one star that many believe will never return to WWE whether he's welcome or not.

20 Triple H: Melina

via youtube.com

It's quite harsh stating that Triple H wouldn't want Melina to return to the company when in fact there are many stars who work for WWE right now that wouldn't want the former Women's Champion to return. Melina made herself a lot of enemies because of her backstage attitude and in the end, this became one of her biggest downfalls. Many fans have wondered why Melina wasn't brought back to WWE as part of Raw 25 or even the Women's Royal Rumble match and the main reason for this is the fact that she has made herself a lot of enemies since her release because she feels the need to badmouth WWE at every turn.

Melina was a talented star, but she is also one that is going to be working on the Independent Circuit until she retires since she is unable to keep her opinions to herself. One that probably rubbed Triple H up the wrong way was when she decided to share that the COO makes her want to throw her guts up when she saw him in public. If Melina wasn't so outspoken then it's quite likely that she would have been part of the history that the women of WWE have been making over the past few years, but now she has managed to get herself blacklisted.

19 Stephanie: Enzo Amore

via twitter.com

Enzo Amore was only recently released from WWE after it was made public knowledge that the former Cruiserweight Champion was being investigated by authorities. Amore wasn't fired for this, instead he was fired because he apparently failed to come forward to WWE about the investigation for a number of months and on the day that the world was looking at WWE (RAW 25) the news was all negative because of him.

Recent reports surrounding the case have noted that it has been dismissed due to lack of evidence, which doesn't mean that Enzo was found innocent, it just means that there wasn't enough evidence to go further. It's hard for Enzo to move forward after this decision, but he does look to be heading back to the wrestling business eventually. Stephanie has been someone who has been pushing forward the #MeeToo campaign over the past few years and with all the women who are coming forward about their experiences in the company in the past, she needs to be looking out for the women in the company. Enzo Amore was never seen as a talented wrestler, he was just a good speaker and WWE has plenty of them, so it's unlikely that he will ever be someone that is welcomed back after all he did anyway.

18 Triple H: Brad Maddox

via youtube.com

Brad Maddox is a former Raw General Manager but he was also a superstar that the company attempted to push as a singles competitor with the name Joshua Kingsley. Maddox was fired from the company when he used what was deemed a banned word as part of one of his promos when he was trying to rebrand under his new character. At this point, Brad had already been seen as both a referee and an authority figure, so this was seen as the final resort for his character.

Maddox name was recently in the headlines after he was part of a number of the videos that were leaked from Paige's ICloud account, which then led to him removing all of his social media pages and becoming a ghost online. It's likely that Maddox wouldn't actually want to return to the company given what has been leaked publicly concerning him over the past year, but even if he did, the company wouldn't want to welcome him back either. WWE has PG branding now and since Brad is now best known for videos that are less than PG, it's probably best if he remains out of the spotlight for the next few years, until the WWE Universe have forgotten about the whole scandal.

17 Stephanie: Ashley Massaro

via twitter.com

It has always been reported that while there are a number of creative team members who look after the Women's Division, Stephanie is the person who has to OK everything that they want to do. The former Women's Champion has the job of having to look after all of the women and this includes looking after them when they're on tour.

Raw Diva Search winner Ashley recently came forward to state that she wasn't protected very well when she was on tour with WWE, because she stated that she was victimized while she was in Kuwait and rather than the company helping her, they talked her into keeping it to herself. This shows that the company has no idea how to protect their superstars, which isn't something that Stephanie would want aspiring female wrestlers to find out about. Ashley asked for her release from the company back in 2008 and over the past decade she has had no contact with WWE but she and fellow former Diva Sunny have had a number of issues on Social Media, so it could be argued that she's someone that the company wouldn't want to be associated with as part of their new era.

16 Triple H: Bret Hart

via youtube.com

Triple H is definitely someone who holds a grudge, which has been well-documented throughout his feud with CM Punk, but it appears that there are a number of stars that Triple H has an issue with. Bret Hart is a legend of the squared circle but he is also someone who isn't shy about sharing his opinion on the current roster and the storylines that are part of it.

Hart wasn't part of Raw 25 a few months ago because he said he had to meet a doctor about surgery that he needed on his hand, but it is thought that one of the issues Hart doesn't want to return to the company in any form is because of Triple H. Hart has been another star that has stated that Triple H isn't actually a very good wrestler and he's only where he is because of the person he's married to. This is something that The Game should be used to by now, but it's easy to see him being the reason Hart doesn't want to return to the company and even finding a way to prevent it if Vince McMahon decided that it was an option in the near future.

15 Stephanie: Rob Van Dam

via wikia.com

Rob Van Dam was one of the most popular stars in the company when he was wrestling full time, but his career his a roadblock back in 2006 when he was pulled over by the authorities and caught for possession. At the time RVD was both WWE and ECW Champion and in the weeks that followed he was forced to drop both Championships as punishment.

There are a number of reports that state that former Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon has always disliked RVD.

This incident was just the reason she was looking for to block his push in the company. Rob left not long afterward and recently it was reported that he could never return to the wrestling business because of the injuries that he suffered at that time in his career. Many fans expected RVD to return a few years ago alongside The Dudley Boys, but this could have been down to Stephanie and the fact that she didn't want him to come back, so even if Rob was able to be cleared for one last run in the company, Stephanie McMahon doesn't seem to want him to be part of any future that the company has in store.

14 Triple H: Goldberg

via skysports.com

Goldberg returned to WWE back in 2016 as part of the fantasy match between the former WCW star and Brock Lesnar, before he was then part of a number of matches in the months that followed. Goldberg's appearances at The Royal Rumble and Fastlane lead up to a Universal Championship match at WrestleMania which turned out to be his final appearance.

Goldberg has a history in the company and it's reported that one of the stars that Goldberg has had problems with throughout his career is Triple H. Even though the former Universal Champion only left the company last year, there have been reports that he is looking to return to the wrestling ring again in the future, but The Game could be one of the reasons why WWE haven't decided to take him up on his offer. Goldberg was known to have upset a number of stars including Chris Jericho because he has a huge ego during his WCW days and this could be what also upset Triple H, who was coming through the ranks at that time as well. Its safe to say that Goldberg has had his time in the sunshine now and a second run in WWE is highly unlikely.

13 Stephanie: Batista

via wordpress.com

Batista is a former World Champion and someone who was recently looking for a return to WWE but it appears that The Animal could have shot himself in the foot when he decided to make a remark about Stephanie McMahon on Social Media. The daughter of Vince McMahon was talking about her slap being her signature move on Twitter back in 2016, when Batista popped up to tell her that it was a move the demoralised the male superstars that she used it against and that there was no way of them ever getting retribution because a man can't slap Stephanie back.

This was definitely a remark that was out of character as the star of Guardians of The Galaxy pointed out what many fans of the product have been thinking over the past few years, but it could have been the nail in the coffin of his WWE career. There aren't many stars who have called Stephanie out online and been able to return to the company afterward, Batista is probably not going to be one of them. The Animal knows that the clock is ticking on any kind of in-ring return but now that he's having success in the acting world, it's unlikely that he wants to return to WWE any time soon.

12 Triple H: Neville

via rumbleramble.com

Neville is a former Cruiserweight Champion and someone that Triple H backed throughout his time in NXT. The British star was pushed as the NXT Champion during his time on the developmental brand, but this all fell apart when Neville was promoted to the main roster and the company ran out of creative ideas for him.

Neville walked away from WWE last year after he was forced to drop his Cruiserweight Championship to Enzo Amore and even though he is still contracted to the company, it's unlikely that he will ever return. Much like many of the stars who were in NXT at that time Neville was someone who Triple H really wanted to become a star and the fact that he refuses to return can't have gone down well with Triple H. Recent reports suggest that Neville has returned to the UK in recent months and is refusing to hold talks with the company about a return right now, which means that it's likely that he will be released officially in the coming months. This will be another name that Triple H will avoid since it could be seen as another failure from his time at the helm of the developmental set up.

11 Stephanie: Sunny

via cagesideseats.com

Sunny will always be remembered as the first ever WWE Diva, but in an era where the women are being taken seriously, it's likely that Stephanie wouldn't want Sunny to be part of the company right now because she is a throwback to the time when women were only seen as eye candy.

Not only that, but Sunny has revealed a little bit too much about her personal life in recent years and has been part of a number of scandals relating to her employment ever since her WWE release. Sunny was only ever seen as a valet for the male rosters while she was part of the company and WWE wants to get away from this reputation, Stephanie has worked hard over the past few years to push the Women's Division into a new era, which is why there were a few familiar faces missing from Raw 25 and The Women's Royal Rumble. Sunny hasn't done herself any favours when it comes to the things that she has said about WWE in recent years as well, but the company has stepped in to help her with treatment recently, which is as much as the company is willing to help her right now.

10 Triple H: Mistico

via espn.in

Mistico will always be the star that was the beginning of the Triple H era, even though The Game has gone on to sign a number of talents over the past few years and they have all been a success in the company, he will always remember his first failure.

Mistico was the man behind Sin Cara and he was a star that the company expected a lot from since he came from a Lucha Libre background.

While his career started off well, the wheels came off when he had issues with the Wellness Policy, refused to speak English when talking to other wrestlers and then suffered a number of injuries that gave him a lot of heat backstage. Sin Cara was then replaced with someone else and WWE never mentioned the fact that there was another star under the mask, but Mistico himself has since stated that the company stole the Sin Cara name from him and now won't allow him to use it on the Independent circuit. Triple H has nothing but bad memories attached to Mistico and his spell in WWE so it's easy to see why he would be someone the COO would refuse to bring back.

9 Stephanie: Justin Roberts

via twitter.com

Justin Roberts was once seen as the most popular ring announcer in WWE and the man who got Daniel Bryan fired much earlier in his career when he choked him with his tie as part of The Nexus invasion. Roberts was shockingly released from the company back in 2014 as part of what many fans assumed was budget cuts, when in fact it was due to a disagreement with the bosses daughter.

Roberts claimed that WWE was pushing the charity that was set up in honor of Connor The Crusher’ Michalek was just a good way for WWE to get publicity. The former ring announcer expanded on these claims in his autobiography Best Seat In The House where he states that he was more involved with Connor that Daniel Bryan and Stephanie McMahon and that the only reason the charity was for the positive publicity and that McMahon has taken credit for something that he actually started. It's quite obvious that after something like this, Stephanie McMahon would definitely be against Justin Roberts ever walking through that curtain and being given a live mic again. Luckily, it appears that JoJo Offerman has been doing a great job on the Raw roster in his absence.

8 Triple H: Paul London

via enbeauce.com

Paul London definitely holds a grudge after his release from WWE back in 2007, the former Tag Team Champion was fired from the company after the infamous segment backstage ahead of Vince McMahon's limousine explosion. London was the only star who was seen smiling when McMahon made his way through the backstage area and into his limo that later exploded and it appears that this small mistake actually cost him his job.

Even though it's obviously Vince McMahon that handed down the punishment for ruining a segment that was completely overlooked less than a month later, London has been quite outspoken about his dislike of his son-in-law as well. The cruiserweight star has stated many times that he will never return to WWE, while calling Triple H a hypocrite and criticizing the fact that the COO would hold him back because of his size but he would push forward someone like Kevin Owens. London would have been a fantastic addition to the Cruiserweight Classic or even the 205 Live roster right now, but London is already against returning to the company where he first found fame and it's unlikely that Triple H would be OK with bringing him back anyway.

7 Stephanie: Christy Hemme

via instagram.com

There are a number of female wrestlers that Stephanie McMahon has had her issues with over the years, but the rumours about Christy Hemme are the reason why she would never be accepted back in the company. The 2004 Diva Search winner was given a huge push on the main roster that led her all the way to a Women's Championship match against Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 21, but months later Hemme was shockingly released from the company.

There were rumours that Hemme was caught in a compromising position with either Vince McMahon or Triple H backstage and Stephanie was the one who forced her to leave. These rumors have never been confirmed, but it is strange that she was released so quickly and seemingly out of nowhere. Christy herself has only recently given birth to quadruplets, so it's highly unlikely that she would be thinking about returning to the wrestling business at any point in the future. but if she was, Stephanie McMahon would definitely be a roadblock that she would have to bypass. Given the talent in the Women's Division right now, there is nothing to warrant a former Diva Search contestant ever wanting to return to WWE.

6 Triple H: Alberto Del Rio

via givemesport.com

Alberto Del Rio is a name that many of the WWE Universe have become familiar with over the past few years, because of his relationship with Paige. The couple went their separate ways back in 2017 and the former Divas Champion has since returned to the company, but Del Rio wasn't as lucky. The former World Champion was fired back in 2014 when he became involved in an altercation with a backstage employee, before he was rehired in 2015 and then negotiated his WWE release in the summer of 2016 after he failed the Wellness Policy. Del Rio is someone that the company wouldn't want in the company again, he sets a bad example and he has accused WWE COO Triple H of being racist on multiple occasions, which definitely won't work in his favour.

It is well-known that Vince McMahon is a huge fan of Del Rio and his wrestling ability and has been working on bringing him back in recent months, but Triple H has probably been the main reason why Del Rio isn't a WWE star right now. The Game knows how to hold a grudge and since he's the brains behind NXT right now, there are many other Mexican stars that he can call on who he values above Del Rio.

5 Stephanie: Kaitlyn

via instagram.com

Anyone who was watching wrestling back in 2013 will know that Stephanie McMahon and Kaitlyn didn't see eye to eye. The former Divas Champion allegedly interrupted Stephanie while she was talking backstage and this then led to the Raw Commissioner pointing this out to the world on an episode of Monday Night Raw, before warning Kaitlyn to never interrupt her again. Needless to say, Kaitlyn lost her Divas Championship just days after the incident and then requested her release from the company not long afterward. The former bodybuilder has since stepped back into her old career and has looked into a number of other business ventures, which included opening her own clothing store called Celestial Bodies and opening a smoothie store alongside her husband.

Kaitlyn and PJ Braun divorced last year and the former WWE Diva has since been able to return to the ring as part of the Independent Circuit, but WWE hasn't yet come knocking. It's likely that Kaitlyn is another female wrestler that McMahon blacklisted and told the company not to contact about a return earlier this year. It's harsh since Kaitlyn didn't do much to McMahon to cause a rift, but there are a number of stories about Steph and how she holds a grudge that are worse than this one.
