The art of a faction warfare feud sees two groups having to interact with each other. WWE has been home to some of the greatest factions in wrestling history. However, there have not been too many storylines of groups feuding against each other. WWE would be selective about which stables interacted with each other that deep.

Some programs left a strong impact on the viewers, but others got overlooked throughout the years. All the examples deserve a look back since it takes a lot of effort to make that kind of storyline work. WWE saw mixed results with some all-time great names in group rivalries. The following ten stable rivalries were the best in WWE.

10 The Wyatt Family Vs ECW Legends

The Wyatt Family vs The ECW Originals

An underrated feud between factions came when WWE united some of the most popular ECW legends. The ECW originals of Tommy Dreamer, Rhyno and the Dudley Boyz feuded with the Wyatt Family to help put a bigger spotlight on them.

Bray Wyatt was becoming one of WWE’s most popular stars and led his faction against the familiar names from ECW’s legacy. The Wyatt Family won all the big matches and even utilized the tables weapon of the ECW legends to their advantage.

9 3 Man Band Vs Los Matadores

Hornswoggle Vs El Torito

The idea of two factions that failed having a great feud seems impossible in theory, but it worked to perfection. WWE gave the trio of Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal and Heath Slater a program with Primo and Epico with their new act.

However, it was the additions of two little people when Hornswoggle and El Torito added some fun to the mix. The infamous WeeLC match was a genuinely entertaining must-watch spectacle with both factions giving their all to make it work.

8 Los Boricuas Vs Disciples of Apocalypse

The Disciples Of The Apocalypse Vs Los Boricuas

WWE tried to make the idea of faction warfare a big selling point when Los Boricuas feuded with the Disciples of Apocalypse. Savio Vega and Crush had each left the Nation of Domination stable to lead their own respective groups.

The DOA featured Brian Lee and the Harris Twins getting signed since they were also bikers like Crush. Los Boricuas saw WWE signing wrestlers from Puerto Rico to follow Savio’s lead since he was the top name from there. The fun segments of their brawls peaked the feud with the weakness of lackluster matches.

7 Team Bella Vs Team BAD Vs PCB

WWE started the women’s evolution timeline by calling up Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch at the same time to join a faction feud. Charlotte and Becky joined Paige to form PCB as the face faction. Sasha joined up with Naomi and Tamina in Team BAD for some fun chemistry.

Team Bella was already established with Alicia Fox joining Nikki and Brie Bella. There were some mistakes made during this program, but the women’s division getting time with three stables facing off most weeks was a fun time.

6 D-Generation X Vs The Hart Foundation

Bret Hart v Shawn Michaels Survivor Series 1997 Cropped

One rivalry that could have been even better featured D-Generation X and the Hart Foundation going to war. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels hating each other made it easy to create tension between the stables led by them.

Moments like Michaels winning the European Championship from Davey Boy Smith or Triple H having a mini feud with Owen Hart often get overlooked due to the Montreal Screwjob. If Bret didn’t have to leave for WCW, this program may have been locked down the top spot on this list with more time. More matches were needed from such a compelling angle between two top groups.

5 The Corporation Vs. The Ministry Of Darkness

Undertaker v Ken Shamrock Backlash 1999 Cropped

WWE had an underrated rivalry between two powerful factions in the Attitude Era. The Undertaker became a terrifying heel when he formed the Ministry of Darkness faction and had a satanic vibe with other scary wrestlers following his lead.

Vince McMahon’s family was targeted by Undertaker and had his stable The Corporation attacking the Ministry of Darkness members. This feud was fun while it lasted, but WWE ruined it by uniting them to form the Corporate Ministry stripping away both identities along the way.

4 Too Cool Vs The Radicalz

The underrated feud between Too Cool and The Radicalz helped put a spotlight on newer talents. WWE signing Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko at the same time made them a compelling faction.

Too Cool was getting over huge around this time with Rikishi, Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Master Sexay doing their dances after matches. The rivalry between the two groups grew even more fun when Chyna joined up with Too Cool and started her memorable storyline with Eddie Guerrero.

3 The Shield Vs Evolution

WWE did a brilliant job reuniting Evolution in 2014 to feud with The Shield. Batista, Randy Orton and Triple H all had issues with The Shield members and reunited in an attempt to stop them. WWE fans viewed The Shield as the hottest thing in wrestling at the time.

Two PPV matches featured The Shield winning cleanly to get cemented as an all-time great group. The second match was elimination style and all three Shield members survived to sweep Evolution. WWE put over their young talent while reminding fans how great Evolution was by having tremendous matches.

2 The Shield Vs The Wyatt Family

WWE found huge success having The Shield and the Wyatt Family each getting over as young new factions around the same time. Fans clearly wanted this match, but no one expected it until WWE started a build in early 2014.

Elimination Chamber 2014 featured an all-time great match with the Wyatt Family beating The Shield in an instant classic. There were a couple of other outstanding rematches on television. WWE gave them time to showcase their brilliance for some superb work together.

1 D-Generation X Vs The Nation Of Domination

The Rock v Triple H SummerSlam 1998 Cropped

The best rivalry between stables in WWE helped create new stars and provided compelling television. D-Generation X turning face under Triple H’s leadership saw them having an intense rivalry with the Nation of Domination after The Rock became leader.

Both young stars started to move towards the next level in this feud. Other names like Chyna, X-Pac, D-Lo Brown and Mark Henry had noteworthy moments to sell the tension. WWE paid it off in the Triple H vs The Rock ladder match that stole the show at SummerSlam 1998.
