Bobby Lashley’s first run in WWE seemed to prime him for a huge run at the top of the card as a future WWE Champion, but after his time on top of the ECW brand, he never realized this potential and eventually left WWE.

In 2018, he made a huge return to the company, although in the time since being back he has experienced his fair share of ups and downs. From main event glory and championship success to the bottom of the barrel feuds and some of the worst segments of all time, Lashley has really seen it all in the time since being back.

10 Best: Aligning With MVP & The Hurt Business

During an alliance with Lana, Bobby Lashley’s potential in WWE felt nonexistent. However, MVP began weaseling his way between the two, enticing Lashley over to his side and becoming his manager.

This was a well told and simple transition, and it turned Lashley into a monster. MVP’s mic work built Lashley up as a threat, and he also brought along Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin to form the Hurt Business faction, which was a major highlight of Raw throughout 2020.

9 Worst: Losing WWE Championship To A Cash-In

Bobby Lashley had a very dominant run as WWE Champion, as WWE finally found the correct way to make him look like a big deal. With a reign like his, it made sense for him to eventually put over a babyface and drop the belt.

However, WWE had Big E cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Lashley. Sure, this protected Lashley, but WWE would have been better suited had they booked Big E to win the title legit and clean, which would have elevated his stock and fully utilized Lashley’s great reign to add to E’s push. This was a big waste of a moment.

8 Best: Most Recent Heel Turn

Bobby Lashley underwent a natural face turn in 2022, with fans showing appreciation for his great work as a heel, to the point where he was getting support. His run as a face wasn’t all that good. A poor feud with Omos and a half-decent US Title reign defined his run as a good guy.

At the Crown Jewel 2022 event, Lashley turned heel, attacking Brock Lesnar following their match. This was a great decision, and making a big impact like this against someone like Lesnar instantly gave credibility back to him.

7 Worst: Showing Off His Glutes

When Lashley turned heel for the first time in WWE, aligning with Lio Rush in late 2018, it was a fun dynamic, but there was a very questionable part of this run.

Lashley would often pose, showing off his butt whilst Rush hyped up his glutes. This was bizarre, and whilst it may have been fun at times, it did no favors to Lashley as a performer or potential title holder.

6 Best: Defeating Brock Lesnar

At the 2022 Royal Rumble event, Bobby Lashley took on Brock Lesnar in a major dream match. The expectation was for Lesnar to win the match, given he’d just won the WWE Title not long before.

However, Lashley shockingly picked up the win over Lesnar (albeit with the help of Roman Reigns). For Lashley, this had been a dream match for quite some time, so it likely meant a lot to be given the chance to get a victory over Lesnar, resulting in a second reign as WWE Champion.

5 Worst: Comeback Interview

Bobby Lashley made a surprise return on the night after WrestleMania 34, taking out Elias and making his presence known. After a ten-year absence, there were likely to be a lot of fans who weren’t familiar with him, so WWE decided to do a sit-down interview with Lashley.

The interview resulted in the most awkward interaction, with Lashley telling a weird story about being tied up by his sisters, all whilst sharing a creepy smile with the camera. It got his return off to the worst possible start.

4 Best: Winning The WWE Championship

After Drew McIntyre defended the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber, Bobby Lashley attacked him from behind, allowing The Miz to cash in the Money in the Bank contract and win the gold.

Lashley and Miz had struck a deal, with Lashley being promised a title shot. It took a little while, but Lashley finally managed to have a match with The Miz, which saw him dominate and win the WWE Championship for the first time. There may have been no fans in the arena, but Lashley’s emotional reaction told the whole story of how much this meant to him.

3 Worst: Relationship With Lana

On an episode of Raw following Rusev’s return to TV in 2019, Lashley emerged with Lana, engaging in a kiss on the stage. This was a completely shocking moment, and it led to months of horrific television.

This storyline involved uncomfortable making out sessions, a wedding, and a whole array of cringey moments. Lashley’s booking during this time was horrendous.

There was a truly special atmosphere around this match, with Lashley coming out victorious in what was a historic match and moment. It was a great pay-off to a year of rebuilding himself into a dominant monster.

1 Worst: Lashley’s Sisters Segment

Sami Zayn And Lashley's Sisters

Lashley’s first feud back in WWE saw him at odds with Sami Zayn. Following his weird interview, Zayn decided to mock him by bringing his “sisters” to Raw.

It was three men dressed up as Lashley’s sisters, and it is up there with the very worst segments in Monday Night Raw history. It was a baffling decision to use this to re-introduce Lashley to the WWE Universe.
