The Undertaker and Kane are two of the most legendary performers in WWE history, each carrying incredible auras, with careers full of great moments. In storyline, they just so happen to be brothers, making them perhaps the most standout example of kayfabe siblings in professional wrestling history.

Throughout their careers, they were often apart from one another, either as singles stars or in other teams, but they would always come together every so often, although their last 10 televised matches teaming as a duo are spread out over a sensational 12 years. Not all of these matches were great, with a huge varying quality.

10 Vs D-Generation X, Crown Jewel 11/2/18

DX v Brothers of Destruction Crown Jewel 2018 Cropped

This match has the awful reputation of being one of the very worst matches in WWE history. Whilst the four names in this match are amongst the greatest superstars of all time, this match came far past their respective primes, and it was a complete disaster.

Shawn Michaels controversially came out of retirement, and although he was decent, seeing him with a bald head made it painfully clear that this was not the Michaels of old. During the match there were several botches, with Triple H tearing his pec, and Kane losing his mask at one point. It was laughable how bad this was.

9 Vs Big Daddy V & Mark Henry, SmackDown 2/1/08

Undertaker and Big Daddy V WWE

There was a lot of weight in this match as four of WWE’s biggest monsters did battle in a clash that Vince McMahon likely loved. However, when big men are matched together, it can often be difficult for any sort of fluidity or pace.

This match did okay, but there were certainly issues with the limited capabilities of those involved given that they are all larger than life men. Overall, it was a simple match that didn’t offer a whole lot.

8 Vs Mr. Kennedy & MVP, SmackDown 12/15/06

Brothers of Destruction vs MVP & Mr. Kennedy WWE

This match lasted for just over five minutes before their brawling ended this is a no contest, with it being more of an angle than a match. Mr. Kennedy would try to run Kane over with a hearse, only for The Undertaker to appear in the passenger seat.

It was a silly moment but it was fine for what it was, although the match was a waste of time overall, and a simple brawl accompanying this segment would have been more successful.

7 Vs Wyatt Family, Survivor Series 11/22/15

Undertaker and Kane v Wyatts Survivor Series 2015 Cropped

On paper, this was a dream match, but in actuality, it was a case of two old veterans who were past their prime producing a below average bout. The nostalgia of seeing Kane and The Undertaker team up in a spectacle to face the supernatural Wyatt Family was nice, but in the ring it wasn’t great.

The action was quite slow and plodding at the best of times, but thankfully it didn’t outstay its welcome, allowing the veterans to perform all their greatest hits, although they unfortunately defeated the younger full-time team.

6 Vs King Booker & Finlay, SmackDown 12/22/06

Brothers of Destruction vs Booker T and Finlay WWE

Whilst there wasn’t too much inherently wrong with this match, it was clear that the Christmas-time fatigue was settling in, as this just didn’t have too much energy to it, with it dragging on for long portions.

There were some confusions with tags in and out of the match, but for the most part it was just ‘fine’.

5 Vs The Miz & John Morrison, ECW 4/15/08

Kane and The Miz WWE ECW

In a very rare treat, The Undertaker appeared on a UK edition of ECW to team up with Kane to battle the promising team of The Miz and John Morrison. It was a very formulaic tag team match, with nothing too wrong with what went on in the ring.

The crowd were notably silent for whenever The Undertaker wasn’t the legal man, which did unfortunately damage the heat at times, but overall it was a decent encounter.

4 w/Triple H & John Cena Vs Edge, JBL, Randy Orton, & Chavo Guerrero, Raw 4/21/08

Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton WWE Raw

Eight big names battled in this all-star multi-man main event of Raw, but it wasn’t anything overly special. It was a fun way to end the show, with it going at a quick pace, but there wasn’t really enough time to flesh out any storylines or give individuals a chance to shine.

It still left the show on an electric note due to those involved, and it had the fans invested throughout the match, even with the heels picking up the win.

3 Vs Jeri-Show, SmackDown 11/20/09

Undertaker & Kane vs Jeri-Show WWE SmackDown

In the build to The Undertaker defending his World Heavyweight Title against Jeri-Show in a triple threat, he enlisted the help of Kane for a big tag team main event. It was fun whilst it lasted, with the four men going back and forth for 12 minutes.

Unfortunately, it ended in a no contest, as Jericho laid out his partner, despite the pair being Tag Team Champions, before taking the World Title belt and leaving. It furthered the build to their match, and added some intrigue into the alliance between Jericho and Show, but it would have been to see a proper finish.

2 Vs Matt Hardy & MVP, SmackDown 10/12/07

Undertaker & Kane vs Matt Hardy & MVP WWE

The negatives in this match were surrounding the finish mostly, as the Brothers of Destruction defeated the Tag Team Champions clean, which is never good for the prestige of the belts when champions lose in a non-title bout.

However, the action itself was very enjoyable, with the four men wrestling a strong match which had a lot of decent pace. It was quite hard-hitting at times, with Undertaker & Kane looking very dominant and dangerous.

1 w/Daniel Bryan Vs The Shield, Raw 4/22/13

Undertaker and The Shield

The UK fans got a treat on this edition of Raw as it saw The Undertaker compete in his final ever match on the red brand. This was a huge spectacle and it lived up to the name value of those involved.

The Shield once again produced another brilliant trios display, with the experienced duo of the Brothers of Destruction along with the technical brilliance of Daniel Bryan acting as the perfect opponents. It was a simple yet fun match, with The Shield rightfully winning.
