WWE won't be running Money in the Bank 2022 at the massive Allegiant Stadium after all.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE has informed fans that Money in the Bank has been moved to the the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. TicketMaster will issue refunds to Ticketholders, and they'll have the first opportunities to purchase tickets to the pay-per-view.

Allegiant Stadium is located in Paradise, Nevada. It is home to the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders, who relocated from Oakland in 2020. Nicknamed "The Death Star", Allegiant Stadium sits 65,000 and hosted SummerSlam 2021 on Aug. 21 of last year.

This means that WWE will instead run two marquee "stadium" pay-per-views instead of three now. SummerSlam will take place on July 30 at Nissan Stadium (home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans) in Nashville, Tennessee. The next stadium PPV will be Clash at the Castle on Sept. 3 inside Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

WWE shouldn't have any problems selling enough tickets to sell out MGM Grand Garden Arena, which can hold over 17,000 spectators for events. For what it's worth, SummerSlam 2021 had an announced crowd of 51,326. It should be noted that WWE has competition with the UFC 276 pay-per-view, which will also run on July 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, so that could have widely affected ticket sales for Money in the Bank at the Allegiant Stadium venue.

Expect A Stacked Money In The Bank Card

As previously noted, WWE has reportedly discussed the idea of having Riddle challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Money in the Bank. And as you can see above, a large number of the company's top stars are being advertised for the show. It wouldn't be surprising if Brock Lesnar made an appearance to help add excitement to the show, and one has to think that the Raw and/or SmackDown Women's Championships will all be defended as well.
