As a WWE fan, it is never too early to start speculating on what is in store for WrestleMania 39, and with the sudden retirement of Vince McMahon and the promotion of Triple H to head of creative, next year's WrestleMania will be the first WrestleMania run by The Game. This is big news because, based off how WWE has been running for the first few weeks with Triple H at the helm, change is inevitable, and so far it's been good change.

However, the rumors and speculation have been spouting for months, if not year's, that WrestleMania 39 would be main evented by arguably one of the last great feuds that The Head of The Table Roman Reigns can have in his current reign as world champion, by battling The Rock. Yes, you read that right. Bearing his incredibly busy filming schedule, Dwayne Johnson is expected to return during WrestleMania season to set up a big time feud with Roman to determine who is truly the head of the Anoa'i family. However, there is a shadow lurking in the background that could cause these long-term plans to shift, especially with Triple H making decisions now, and his name is Cody Rhodes. When Cody returns from his gruesome pec injury, he should continue his destiny and achieve the one thing alluding his family, the WWE World Championship. What better obstacle for him to overcome than the top dog of WWE, Roman Reigns.

The Rock Has A Perfect Built In Storyline With Roman Reigns

The Rock Roman Reigns

With the retirements of big names like The Undertaker and Triple H, and the lack of clear main-event caliber talent outside Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, WWE tends to rely on part-timers like Goldberg and Pat McAfee to sell their big PPVs and stadium shows. With WrestleMania the biggest of them all, and Reigns on a streak that has seen him beat every top part-time and full-time wrestler on the roster, The Rock is logically the best choice for business.

With his fame in Hollywood, he brings millions of eyeballs to whatever he does, and the storyline is already written. They are both members of the legendary Anoa'i family, so why not have them duke it out to see who is the real head of the table. In addition, the feud is fresh, with the last time these two interacted in the ring Reigns was still the babyface hero McMahon was shoving down the throats of fans. Now Reigns has embraced his new role as heel with Paul Heyman by his side, so The Rock can serve as the valiant babyface making his triumph return after all these years to put an end to Reign's reign.

It's Cody Rhodes' Destiny To Be WWE Champion

Before his untimely injury, Rhodes was red-hot, some may even say white-hot in his return to WWE. After his monumental decision to leave AEW, his return at WrestleMania 38 is considered one of the biggest shocks in the professional wrestling world in the last couple of years. Even after the aura of his return wore off, he continued to maintain the role of top babyface in WWE, cutting passionate promos and continuing to build his connection with the fans with weekly appearances and stellar in-ring performances.

His feud with Seth Rollins arguably built him up to the biggest babyface after suffering a real-life pec injury and being forced off television by Rollin's malicious attack on his injured pec. Though his surgery has forced him onto the sidelines for 6-9 months, do not be fooled, when he returns, possibly in the Royale Rumble, he will garner a reaction that equals or surpasses his WrestleMania return. WWE needs to strike while the iron is hot and push him to the top card where he dethrones the champion and achieve his family's destiny of acquiring the world championship. After all, unlike The Rock, once Cody wins the world championship, he will continue to appear on Raw and SmackDown on a weekly basis, while The Rock will go back to making movies in Hollywood.

Verdict: Why Not Give Us Both Reigns Vs The Rock, And Rhodes Vs A Champion Seth Rollins

WWE could do something unusual and keep The Rock vs. Roman Reigns but not for the championship. That's right, Reigns can lose the championships in some manner in the lead up to WrestleMania, and before he can pursue his contractual rematch, The Rock will make his return to ignite their feud for WrestleMania 39. This will happen around the time Cody has returned from his injury and WWE can choose to go two routes for his championship glory. Since Seth Rollins was the man that caused his injury, Rollins should walk into WrestleMania 39 as the world champion, with Cody as the #1 contender, presumably after winning the Royal Rumble.
